Kromm April 10, 2014 Share April 10, 2014 I've always liked Jeff Garlin, but I have to admit that he's one of the people in the cast it took the show a little longer to give the right opportunities to show his stuff (and I don't mean whatever is hanging out of his tighty-whities in any given episode). I do think the show needs to create a few more Murray specific scripts. We need to see him a bit outside of Bev's orbit, since she steals every scene involving the two of them. Link to comment
captain1 April 16, 2014 Share April 16, 2014 My dad used to "hang out" in his boxer shorts all the time, sometimes literally (yikes!) so I always get a kick out of Murray. 1 Link to comment
ladyrott July 16, 2014 Share July 16, 2014 I am a Disney channel fanatic so the first time I saw Murray, I was like "Uncle Kelbo!" It's sad that I only know the actor from Wizards of Waverly Place but I am thoroughly enjoying him in this role. Murray plays off both Bev and the kids perfectly. He is the perfect combination of manly man clueless dad and sweetheart (loved the movie rental episode where he gets Adam his own rental card at the end). Link to comment
dogfish September 18, 2014 Share September 18, 2014 I love the fact that they made Murray's past so cool...waited tables with Lou Reed, HS basketball star, class president, etc. because he is such a non-go-getter in middle age. Link to comment
KYBlonde October 12, 2014 Share October 12, 2014 I loved this show from the second Murray walked in the front door and proceeded to drop trou. I had a job that was very hot and sweaty, and I would do the very same thing the second I got home. Well I actually started at the top and worked my way down but I just could not wait not even one more second to get out of that hot disgusting uniform! Link to comment
Kiddvideo October 14, 2014 Share October 14, 2014 (edited) I love how he knows he messed up because he wasn't paying attention (or couldn't be bothered to care or think it was important), but once he realizes he's hurt someone, he fixes it. I think my favorite was when he forgot Adam's birthday and was trying to fake his way through it, when Adam called him out, "Yeah, what is it, MURR?" And then he listened to Pop-pop and got the laser tag. I probably would've been living on the back porch for a few days if I'd said that to my Dad, but Murray knew he was busted and would need to atone. BubblingKettle January 22, 2015 Share January 22, 2015 I could be wrong, but I think they are now having Murray wear pants regularly. I do not miss seeing Jeff Garlin in his BVDs (blech). 1 Link to comment
