so we are to believe felicity took the first pic (if not, who was it? the nanny?) and then felicity conveniently fell asleep to hide her face as directed for the second pic??

but the real question is which jay's did he wear.....

And this is why I’m calling him out as a coward.

Yep. Totally agree.

Either he doesn't have the courage of his convictions. Or he doesn't actually have the convictions he claims to have but just pretends to them in order to rise in his pastor's career.

Either way -- it's crap.

Those are the actions of a two-bit human.

Sorry, Jer. You can write all the blathering "journals to my daughters"  that you want. But your conduct speaks far louder than your fountain-penned words. You're a lousy role model.

Maybe you should try some integrity instead of all that hope sometime.

Someone tell them how LAME giving a thumbs up is! OMG.

He uses RAD and homie in his posts. He IS lame 🤣

What a poser.

I bet Jeremy was way in front of her hiking while Jinger was struggling to keep up and wrangle 2 kids. I doubt she has much fun.

I wonder if they tell Felicity to hide her face every time they take pictures. Great for the self-esteem!  Totally ridiculous.  And if they are worried about pervs like Uncle Joshy, they aren’t looking at the kids face. 🤮🤬😡🥵

I'm waiting for them to reach the Michael Jackson Blanket stage in pictures of Felicity. 🙄

Oh, they wish they were that famous that they had to force the kids to wear masks.

not going to happen, Jeremy.

but stay away from hotel balconies all the same.

I get the impression Jeremy lies awake at night thinking, "But I'm one of the breakout stars of Counting On! Why do we only get paparazzi attention when I call them? And why do they only ever want pictures of Jinger?!"

"Cover your face, Felicitee!" Poor kid is going to get a self esteem complex!

Maybe they've told her it's a long game of hide and seek. "Hide your eyes, hide 'em all the way, Felicity! Mommy and Evvie and the paparazza are going to hide out here in this mountain wilderness and then you and I'll go find them!"

When she's grown, she'll remember it as these wonderful years when her family played a constant game of hide and seek, just for her entertainment.

I picture it as a game they made for Felicity. They take a nice photo for themselves and then instead of the goofy/silly face second pic most people take, they do "now hide your face" pics

JinJer show their true colors. And they're not very Christian. 🙄

Okay, I'm going to play devil's advocate here. Remember the show America's Funniest Home Videos? There were a TON of videos of people falling down that other people deemed funny. I question their emotional empathy, but I don't think that JinJer's behavior was that unusually bad compared to society.

Sure, but how many of us film ourselves laughing and then post it for millions to see?

Not to mention their monetization of their social media with their branding as upbeat, positive Christian role models for the rest of the world.  Not seeing this as promoting their 'brand', so to speak.  Just one more social media faux pas, it seems.

And I think this goes into how inept they are about branding themselves. If you're using a business account--and by trying to brand themselves as influencers, their personal accounts are business accounts--it's really dumb to post yourself laughing at someone else's misfortune when your ostensible business is something vaguely Christian inspirational.

They've never really been able to grasp that.

You could totally get away with that on another account as a celebrity if your brand was different. You'd still seem like a jerk to me, but it wouldn't be the marketing fail it is for them.

LOL @Rootbeer we cross-posted with each other, and you made the same point I was trying to make even more succinctly!

But certainly not on a page branded to share hope. It's totally off-brand. I'm glad their Leghumpers let them have it to the point that they deleted the ill-advised post

Do JinJer still have their podcast or did they ditch that to try their hand at TikTok fame?

They claim the pod is coming back. I'll believe it when I see it. They are nothing if not flighty in their grifting.

If his "convictions" change based on the segment of population for whom he is trying to show off, he is nothing more than a coward who is using his wife and daughters and fancy shoes and pretty fountain pens to grasp at any shred of significance he can get his dirty grifting hands on.  I don't think he will stop until he reaches the level of fame he imagines should be his, and if he never reaches it then it will be Jinger's fault and he'll flounce off to find someone who can be the Gabby to his Cade.

I wonder if he has conveniently forgotten that when they met, he was the absolutely un-famous pastor of a tiny plant church in Laredo, Texas. And Jinger was a featured player in a cable TV reality show, definitely a celeb whose family's doings were still the subject of occasional People magazine exclusive stories, and featured on the Today show.

I wouldn't be surprised if he now thinks of their past this way:  she was that sad looking young un-educated woman with frizzly hair, fake bake tan, raccoon eye makeup, and thrift shop schmatta for a wardrobe, that he took in and elevated to a stylish young LA wife and mom with a million+ social media followers. Like, he had anything to do with her getting a million followers once she got a social media account. Note to Jeremy: it wasn't because of you, it was down to TLC. Really.

Well said. I think his guiding star in life isn't God or Jesus. It's his fantasy of himself as a glowing charismatic righteous famous guy whose very existence inspires people to worship the correct Jesus.

I think that interview from long ago where he mentioned Tim Tebow, spoke volumes. I'm in Denver and we got a lot of Tebow news coverage years ago when he was hot and he was here [with the Broncos]. I'm not a fan of Tebow but IMO Jer doesn't even come close to old Tim in terms of charisma, talent, or apparent sincerity of personal religious conviction.

Jer just doesn't have a clue that he will always be mr jinger duggar. His followers on SM are, for the most part, older females who watched jing and the show.  He has tried multiple things. We see far less of the fountain pens and pocket square Jer. He tried the retro nonsense and now he is homie sneaker and former athlete dude. He changed the fancy suits for expensive sportswear. Haven't seen him in any "Golf" brand apparel recently so his attempt for an influencer gig went nowhere there.

He desperately wants to be a part of the preachers n sneakers thing, but he is not a mega church preacher. probably never will be. So he continues to try for clicks with gimmicks like pics not showing the kids' faces and posing with people most of his followers never heard of and don't care about.

My current conclusion: Jer's a child. He's a spoiled 10-year-old who believes he's well on his way to being every superhero he likes....In fact, he's just as great as all those superheroes already. They should give him his cape right now! They should give him all the capes! They should! They should!

And that's it.

Because he's going to be an eternal self-centered child. No self awareness. Zero empathy. No true curiosity or interest in anything beyond his fabulous self. And eternally greedy for whatever new candy they're featuring in the cash-register line.

Good luck raising your children with this case of arrested development, Jinge. Because he's all in it for Jeremy. Period.

I think Jeremy is cut from the same cloth as Josh, without the perversion.

RE Jeremy's fountain pen and apropos of nothing...I was watching a mystery show where the victim was murdered by having a fountain pen shoved into his head.  I guess Jeremy is demonstrating a different way of using a pen to "kill the conversation". (or brain cells)

This sounds exactly like the plot of the movie Life Is Beautiful.  In the waning days of WWII, an Italian-Jewish man is sent to a concentration camp with his young son, and he convinces him that the whole thing is part of a game that they're trying to win.
