When you raise kids as sheltered as the Duggars, they learn to eschew others and become so dependent on their siblings for companionship that they have no knowledge of how to make friends outside of the family.  Or really, the opportunity to.  The Bateses don't count...they are ready-made friends because of Jim Bob and Michelle.  When Jessa left to marry Ben, Jinger had no one else to turn to.  The family has its cliques and affinity groups already established and she probably didn't fit with the others.  Or they didn't accept her.  And Jessa and Ben have their lives to lead.  So Jinger is stuck pretty much by herself.

Is this because Boob is relaxing the rules out of necessity or is it because he's desperate to marry those girls off? I'd like to believe he's had an epiphany and has decided to use common sense, but I think it's more about the gravy train.

I was surfing the net via phone and half-watching my DVRd Breaking Amish episodes when I originally saw this article.  I burst out laughing and scared my cat, who was sitting on my lap.  She dug her claws into my leg before she jumped off.  The pain was so worth it...?  Seewalad and Dullard...priceless.

I have  become so accustomed to the way we write about them, I didn't notice the names at first.  I was very concerned, however, that Josh had been cheating on his porn addiction.  Was he was he watching too many cat videos?

He's not going to find a male in his mid-20's that is still a virgin. I apologize in advance to anyone who may be offended by the following: Those who are are either in the closet or so repulsive that even the money-hungry KJB might think twice. At this point, he's forced to accept whoever he can attract, and I bet the pickings are fairly slim. (Said it before, I'll say it again: Who'd want KJB and J-Chelle for in-laws?)

Just throwing this one out here: A NFL QB famous for his religious beliefs and he and his fiancee's "celibacy pact" got married last week. They were married on Wednesday. After spending one night alone together, they have been on a whirlwind tour of high-profile media appearances. In other words, there sure hasn't been a lot of "alone time" for two people who waited in excess of a year.

It's possible that many people can't afford a honeymoon or choose to take one later, but most newlyweds (or anyone crazy in love) can't keep their hands off of their spouse or even a girlfriend/boyfriend they're really in love with. It's ridiculous to expect celibacy from those old enough to run their own lives.

It's almost time for summer camp, so I imagine Russell Wilson and Ciara are saving their honeymoon for next winter when they can hit up a tropical resort, even on-season. I don't know what kept them from marrying earlier this summer or in the spring. But then, I don't make multi-millions a year, so my choices are much more limited. 

Is Tim Tebow still available? (just joking, I am pretty sure he has a girlfriend/fiancee)

Echoing others who hope Jeremy's "worldliness" doesn't bother Jinger.  However, it's so antithetical from what we've heard from this family.  J'Bob and Michelle are sick if they pushed this courtship for the redemption angle. Marriage should never be a ministry, we saw how well that worked out for Anna and the other Keller sisters. I wish it was that Jinger really was a rebel and found the man she wanted to marry regardless of his past. Instead, it's because Jeremy was attracted to her meekness.

Ciara and Russell Wilson are on the media tour together.  They have the opportunity for more "alone time" than most couples, but I can see what you're saying. Even the Bates and Duggar couples were off alone for extended time. The timing of the wedding may have been related to her disputes with her ex (child custody and a defamation of character lawsuit) or they were simply tired of waiting.

Russell Wilson is the Seattle Seahawks' star quarterback. Ciara is a singer. They have been engaged for quite awhile, claiming to be celibate. Yeah, I can see deferring the official honeymoon but you would think they would be spending some serious private time together right after the wedding...

Well, Ciara has a kid or kids from a prior relationship, and Wilson is pushing 30 and been on his own for years with his values. I remember AC Green from the Lakers held out until he got married at 37! As a star athlete with beautiful women throwing themselves at you like pieces of candy, I commend their strength. What Jeremy faced as a soccer player at a small college with one year at a Division 1 school, followed by a mediocre (at best) pro career, I don't think the level of groupies was anything close to what Wilson or Green experienced. I don't know how big soccer is that far north, but I think there are several other sports whose jocks would get co-ed attention before the soccer team. 

That said, I think Jeremy's been around the block a few times during the time when he fell off the fundie wagon in late high school and college.

Russell Wilson was actually married before. Not too long ago, as a matter of fact. Ciara is his second wife.

Idk if born again virgin applies to Russell Wilson. He and his ex waited until marriage and then he was celibate after they divorced.  Unconfirmed rumor was that his ex wife cheated on him with a teammate.  Unless he was lied for whatever reason, he never had sex outside of marriage.  ETA: Actually, would that count as a born again virgin? I've never heard him discount his first marriage or anything. If the rumors were true about his ex cheating, he actually had biblical justification for ending the marriage (not that they would need such a reason to get divorced).

Sean Lowe (from the Bachelor and Dancing with the Stars) is more applicable to Jeremy.  He had a typical college social life, I think he played college football, and then became a born again virgin when he wanted to settle down and get married . It was a big deal when he was on the Bachelorette and his season of the Bachelor - even got a wedding special out of it.  Maybe Jeremy will follow in Sean Lowe's footsteps and be the Duggar to go on Dancing with the Stars.

Sew Sumi, I don't buy it. IMHO of course. The wedding didn't take five minutes to plan. After all the yapping about celibacy, it's amazing that they spent one night together and flew back to the US less than 24 hours later to a slew of media commitments. There have been multiple appearances every day since they came back to the US. Something is not right.

Tebow has also been featured on Crazy Days and Nights. The site's writer has mentioned previously that he is not as pure as he wants people to believe he is.

Personal to the young Mr. Vuolo: You'd better make sure your ducks are in a row, dearie. The media never sleeps. You might also want to take a look at how quickly they'll unearth information you've forgotten about.

Question -- When did Jeremy become involved with this family? Surely he became friendly long before the missioncation where he "met" Jinger.

In spring 2015 or thereabouts he supposedly encountered Bin (and Jessa, I guess), or so the story goes, as I recall. There are accounts of what's been said about this on here somewhere. In Sweet Fellowship or the Seewald thread, I'm guessing.
