EDITED to add: @Absolom, you're usually right and I'm usually wrong, when it comes to the Duggars. I'm just trying to think positive for a minute.

I'm doing a head shake.  I'm not sure that I've had an opinion on how Jeremy and Jinger will work out.  I think at this point you have as much chance of being right as anyone.  We don't know Jeremy yet.  We don't "know" any of them, but with Jeremy it's even less.

It's undeniable that there is a chemistry between Ben and Jinger.  You can almost FEEL it when seeing the two of them together.  Just a thought...maybe the chemistry is the whole reason for this courtship?  Maybe Ben himself went out looking for a suitable suitor for Jinger to put the brakes on their feelings for each other?  It's normal to feel an attraction to others, even when you are married.  But not acting upon that attraction and honoring your marriage is what makes the difference.  I may be thinking too deeply here, but if this theory is correct, I would have much respect for Ben.

I think it wasn't Ben. Mean girl Jessa noticed the chemistry too. In fact, Jinger may have confessed which is why she is such a sinner and grateful for Jessas love. Jessa hooks Jinger up with the Italian Stallion, he rides her all the way back to Texas, and any fears of Bin n Jing disappear. The bonus: Jing won't have Jana and Joy to help--mean girl can keep them as her hand maidens

I don't believe for one minute that Jeremy was a friend of Jessa & Ben. I haven't had the patience to read his blog or watch his videos, but my theory is he knew of Jinger, probably from watching 19k&c. He got in touch with Rim Job or maybe a mutual fundy person and the arrangements were made. I don't think Jinger had any choice, and my heart goes out to her. She's so young and fragile.

I can't disagree with you based on reality -- I have no idea what happened -- but I see it differently.

Ben is a fame-whore and has "reached out" to people in the past (e.g. a U of Arkansas football player, and a Christian rapper) that he believes are "cool." I can easily see him "reaching out" to a professional soccer player turned fundie preacher. I think that they are "friends" the way that all of the Duggars have "friends" -- not in the sense that most people think of friendship, but more in the sense of "fundies I know."

I also think that Jeremy is a fame-whore, and "God laid it on his heart" to get to know Ben and Jessa better -- especially when they sent the private plane to pick him up.  I also don't see him turning down the opportunity to be on television to "witness for the Lord," or "grow his ministry," or some other bs that he deludes himself into believing that he is doing.

I also don't think that it's beyond the realm of possibility that Jessa pushed this match in order to 1) get credit for finding her sister a hot husband who "Loves the Lord" and 2) sending Jinger 800 miles away from her husband.

I don't think college educated, 20-something professional male soccer players were part of their demographic.

Jessa referenced making matchmaking suggestions on one of the JJCO episodes. In hindsight, she must have been talking about Jeremy and Jinger.

Jessa is just helping Sierra and Joy with their wedding planning business by setting people up! Brilliant business move Jessa.

Dont you just love how all the media outlets refer to Jer as a hot soccer player rather than the hate spewer he truly is?

I'm sure Jer has encountered his share of haters as a gay/trangender/catholic hating fundie preacher but that's NOTHING compared to what's coming.

Jer's definately a fame whore, but I think he grossly underestimated the radioactiveness of the duggars.

Hmm, the blind date conversation, I think that came up. Maybe that's why Joy looked like she thought it was a possibility; Jessa had already set up Jinger.

I think this makes him dig deeper into fundie ism. He seems like the type to get the fur up on his back. If you want love love Ghoulie (heehe), just blindside JB and turn back to a guy who did regular college shit and send your kids to public school, get your wife set up in photography and become a part time soccer coach while working a regular 9-5 with your business major. Take your wife to concerts and Paleontology museums to get her straightened out. You have the opportunity to become the favourite Dugg character. Everyone will want your collector card. Play this right fame ho.

Soooooo, let's start a pool on the date of the Holy Nuptials, shall we?

I'm in for late September. TLC will end the upcoming season with the wedding, which will probably be broadcast in November during "sweeps". The registries will go up in mid-July. I'm also betting that the security/information management on this one will be locked down better than Fort Knox and there may be a different type of wedding this time around -- less leghumpers, more actual family members as a FU Internetz!!11!!!!!

Jilly Muffin will announce her pregnancy on Twitter ten minutes before the wedding broadcast starts.

I wonder if Jing and Jeremy will register for Froot Loops and Gatorade and 40 sets of dishes, and sheets and towels. Boob needs his pantry and linen closets restocked. I hope they do something classy this time. Keep the guest list closer to 200 so they can have some decent food instead of Sierra Food.

I think that they will get married in October or November. This season will be all about "courting" which will end with the engagement. There will be another season in the late fall that will be all about wedding preparations and the big season finale will be the wedding itself which will, of course, have happened months. Sprinkled throughout the two seasons will be Jill, Jessa, and Anna falling all over each other to announce the next baby or, frantically filling social media with posts hinting at a potential adoption.

And Jeremy is going to love all the attention from TLC.  His own television show!  Didn't he admit he loves to be the center of attention?  I'm going to be watching to see if he reminds me of Kody Brown.

They should definitely get a cutting board. What was that flimsy thing that was sliding around on Jessa's counter?

They could really generate a lot of interest with fu internetz. Jeremy and Jinger may be the only Duggs to actually get their own show without featuring the rest of the family. Jinger with parish ladies doing fun things. Jinger sitting on the sidelines watching her littles playing organized soccer. The one episode of Jessa's engagement where Jinger had to approach people and get the flower makes me think Jinger is one who could really, sincerely pull this off.

Stop dissing the Froot Loops, people!  I am years and years older than Jill and love me some Froot Loops.  Didn't know you could register for them, though.

Not dissing the Froot Loops for those who like them. The Jillards registered at Walmart for  their wedding (lots do and nothing wrong with that either) and after they picked a reasonable amount of things, even for entertaining a large family, they still wondered what the other 900 of their best friends would buy them. Gift cards in any denomination would have been classier than registering for boxed cereal.

I hope he doesn't walk away from Jinger and break her heart once he realizes that the Duggars are full of taint instead of their love for the Lord. *side eye*

I hope Jinger gets therapy. Texas is better than fundie land. Very conservative but better than Gothard. Jimhovah probably can't find anyone to marry his daughters unless it's for fame.

I hope so too. I have said this before but I really doubt Josh's molestation started and ended with light touching, and I also feel like those poor girls are living in fear of when the next shoe will drop. What a sad situation.

If we see a photo of Jeremy with his hands framing Jingers pregnant belly, or they start Harlequin Romance posts to each other, or they start holding each other in every photo, or we see them holding a baby facing towards the camera (entire body, instead of snuggled against their parents), we know we got the same old Duggs and not an independent couple headed by an alpha male.

And no trying to fool us by taking her to events like plays in the first few months, we've been through that with Derelict Duggar.

This x 1000!

The sooner Jeremy can marry our Jing, the sooner she'll be free of having to have her wretched parents in tow.  I don't think too many would snark on Jinger and Jeremy sans their 2 appendages. Even the most rabid Duggar haters don't wish anything bad on the younger Duggars and the littles. Jessa, though not really likeable, and Muffy the Snitch and their eye roll inducing social media posts, were victims regardless, and still garner some sympathy over how they were thrown under the bus to keep the gravy train going.

I haaaaateeee even thinking this, but is Jinger the 'throw away' daughter to JimBob? Does he think it's ok to just pawn her off on anybody for ratings and to get her off his hands?

Was she the most emotionally damaged by Josh, that they seem to treat her like any guy who will take her will work? Does JimBob see her as more than emotionally damaged, so he doesn't care who she ends up with, as long as she's sold?

This guy just makes no sense.

Also - what kind of dirt does Jana have on them that they've left her alone and not forced her into anything? There aren't any more tinies at home that need 24/7 parenting, and Joy has taken over a lot of the homeschooling, etc.

I think so. Jill was his favorite because she inhaled the Kool-Aid, Jana is valuable because her hard work enables Michelle to be "joyfully available," and Jessa was the prized pig, thanks to her looks. Jinger is just kind of "there" if that makes any sense. She's cute, but not especially beautiful, she doesn't appear to be super outgoing or super introverted, she doesn't strike me as unintelligent but I don't see much potential there either. She's middle of the road in all aspects of her life. As long as Boob doesn't lose his most valuable Daughter-slave, he could probably care less about who Jinger marries.

I realize this is adding nothing to the discussion but I read the name of this thread, the Duggalos, and hear the Buggaloos theme song.  Stuck in my head all gd day!

There was a pic of the 'diplomas' with Joy and random Duggar boys and it looked to me like she may have slimmed down a touch.  Could she be the next one to announce a courtship?  Maybe Jana is sticking around so SHE gets to choose the nursing home for the 'rents <insert evil laughter>.

ANYTHING for another season. ANYTHING. As long as he spouts the BS and defers to King James Robert, he's golden. Now smile for the camera, Jer.

She could destroy them ALL with a well timed tell-all interview. Hell, she raised all the kids, was a surrogate Michelle, buried the all the bodies. They'd be wise not to piss her off. I hope on some level she is aware of all this.

"Hey, Josie, go grab that rolling chair, it's time to push Daddy around the house for awhile!" *Cut to old, slobbering Jim Bob with a look of frozen horror on his face*

I wish all the above were true but I think Jana is terrified of the outside world and maybe even of intimacy.

I think so, too, and I don't blame her. As one of the eldest, she was in the thickest throes of the strictest rules. She's had to try to sort out in her mind the duality of thinking any sort of love, affection, interest, etc. in anyone who isn't a spouse is horrible, terrible, awful, shameful and a straight ticket to hell vs. your goal in life is to be married and have someone domineer every single thought and action for the rest of your life.

As an extroverted introvert (I can be outgoing, but always eventually want to retreat to my own space), married to an introverted introvert (who couldn't care less about socializing with more than a handful of people), I can see where a marriage like her parents have would be beyond smothering and overwhelming. Besides the fact that I really don't think she wants to raise another brood of babies, and she can't separate marriage and a brood of babies.
