Primetimer May 17, 2016 Share May 17, 2016 Or have you already seen too many dating shows where men and women mingle and canoodle in a tropical setting? View the full article Link to comment
crgirl412 May 18, 2016 Share May 18, 2016 I didn't even know about it but I stumbled upon it and like the first half- hour! I like the beach porn and it seems much lighter and "normal" than any of the Bach's- I've watched them all since Trista's season! 1 Link to comment
hnygrl May 18, 2016 Share May 18, 2016 I've been watching for less than 5 minutes. No thanks. Trying too hard to both be like and not be like the bachelor. I don't like it. Link to comment
MV713 May 18, 2016 Share May 18, 2016 wait ... where is the forum for this show?I expected to hate it, and in 5 minutes was thinking this is a scripted piece of garbage, but I stuck it out and was pleasantly surprised. The places where they are staying are gorgeous and there seemed (so far) to be less "drama" "drinking" schenanigans, and the women actually seemed intelligent. By the end, I am waiting for the next episode. Even if this is just a fluffy summer show, its good for a tv tune out. 4 Link to comment

backformore May 26, 2016 Share May 26, 2016 The setting is gorgeous - a contrast to the "Bachelor in Paradise" setting, which seemed seedy and run-down. Link to comment
Wings May 26, 2016 Share May 26, 2016 I am slightly confused on the format. So each guy meets all the girls. He goes to the pavilion where those who chose to meet him are there. He chooses 2 of them. They hang out for I don't know how long but he chooses one. Then what? What is the end game here? Link to comment

What is the end game here? the end game? Love, I guess. Cause it's not connected to DWTS, or PEOPLE magazine, so I guess it's just TRUE LOVE. 2 Link to comment
Wings May 26, 2016 Share May 26, 2016 I meant is there more to this than every man ending up with a woman or not? Any option for the women to change to another man or anything like that? Link to comment
Arienne May 26, 2016 Share May 26, 2016 (edited) We haven't got that far yet. So far only 2 couples are coupled. We did see both couples ride horses in the beach and a preview looked like one guy thinks he picked the wrong one but I don't know what happens with that? ETA: Yea I really said "in the beach"! I never seen nothing like it. Edited May 26, 2016 by Arienne 1 Link to comment
WhoAmIReally May 26, 2016 Share May 26, 2016 I thought the first episode was like pulling teeth, but the second seemed to move a little faster. We'll see. I despise the crying shock jock--"Boo hoo, I'm 23 and will never meet another guy who watches Fox News like me every night." The others seem ok. 4 Link to comment
peach May 28, 2016 Share May 28, 2016 I don't watch The Bachelor or any of its spawn, so I'm not burned out on this type of show. Like the review says, I did literally have it on in the background while surfing the net and paying bills, lol. And it was good enough to set my DVR to record for some summer fluff. The island is exquisite. I like the variety of new couples being formed each week. Not sure what happens after that. The first pair seem like a natural match. So far, the guys seem pretty nice and not too narcissistic, and the women seem not crazy. Except for the crying "radio personality." Maybe she just needed a snack. Day drinking doesn't go well for everyone. 1 Link to comment

I assume that at a certain point there will be a moment when the couples have to decide if they want to leave the island together. What happens if they don't is unclear. I assume the man just leaves but i don't know if the woman could return to the bungalows. Link to comment
Big Mother May 30, 2016 Share May 30, 2016 I'm thinking that the first few couiples have an unfair advantage of knowing each other longer before the end of the show. They also have a bigger selection of women to choose from and find the right one. The 8th or 9th man to arrive will only have about four eligible girls. that's a veyr small selection. Unless some of the other couples will have decided to break up by then.... Link to comment
RCharter May 30, 2016 Share May 30, 2016 So while I've only watched a bit, this show seems really unfair to the women. So, the only decision they get to make is yes or no to the guy based on a few minutes of conversation. And if you say no, it seems like you're cut off from the guy forever. On the other hand, the guy gets to go to the tiki bar and spend time (hours) talking to all the women, and then he gets to pick two based on having more information. And then he further gets to pick again based on even more information who he wants to take to the couples quarters. I know I shouldnt think too much. Link to comment
Wings May 31, 2016 Share May 31, 2016 I don't get it either. The guys keep coming, choose two, discard one and she goes back in the pile. When the girls are gone or down to the point where the guy has no choice but the 2 left is it over? Usually shows state what happens at the end at the beginning of the show so we know what to expect. 1 Link to comment
