Bianca's Rolodex of Hate

So, not toned down for t.v., although they bleeped a lot. I liked it more as it went on, hearing about his childhood (although not about starting a sexual relationship with an uncle at age 11, I hope that was embellishment). I didn't know his parents sent him to a psychiatrist because he was gay. Bianca is so hard edged I guess I'd sort of assumed she'd always been that way. Do we know how Bianca and Lady Bunny feel about each other now? Bianca said Bunny gave him crystal meth when he was just starting out. Could also not be true, I guess.

I saw Rolodex when Bianca was here just a little over a year ago. Her and Ladybunny are still good friends -- they co-hosted the Season 8 preview tour. Remember, Bianca's crystal meth story takes place in the New York City club scene of the early '90s, before meth became a "Breaking Bad"-inspiring epidemic in our country.

She went into more detail about her uncle sexually abusing her as a child, too. She might not have called it sexual abuse, but it was. Bianca/Roy grew up in a culture where these kind of things just weren't talked about, and I think that cloud of shame and secrecy informs a lot of her rage and comedy.

The best part of the Rolodex show is the audience Q and A. I get why LOGO wouldn't include it, but it was half an hour of Bianca speaking extemporaneously and it was delightful. When discussing Joan Rivers, she said how much she loved her and felt lucky to meet her. She also said she didn't care much for Kathy Griffin, which is interesting as I think BDR is a lot more like Kathy than she realizes (and I say that as a huge fan of both).

Meh, I liked it enough but not as much as I thought I would.  So much was bleeped out that a few of the jokes I didn't quite understand.  I laughed at a few parts but IDK, I guess I just missed the Countdown to the Crown special.

I LOVE BDR!  She's freaking hilarious, but I'd expected this show to have me holding my belly the whole time, and I didn't get too many laughs out of it.  Too much of it was bleeped out as well.

The creepy uncle part was kind of upsetting to me.  Though she can talk about it now and even put it in her act, that had to have been hard for her.

Oh, well, I'll wait for her next act.  I'm sure it will be better.

I do love Bianca, I love her dresses and her crazy paint! I did not find this funny (enough, I guess). There was indeed too much bleeping. Sometimes if a comedian works blue, you need to hear the blue parts!  In fact, I wasn't really listening to the show, I was admiring how well she cinches her waist!

I heart Bianca to no end and I really liked Rolodex of Hate, I wish it would have aired later so there would not have been so much bleeping. We knew girl could work a room and wow, she did not disappoint! Love that Logo believes in her so much they aired this. Could this be something that Logo could do on a regular basis? Air a RPDR winner or contestant on tour, doing her show, etc.

I love BDR and thought this would be funnier.  I could hear around the bleeps so that was not the issue, it just seemed very repetitious.

Now that I could easily believe.  Given that it was  ninety minutes anyway, and they were going to bleep anything they found problematic, why not include this?  I would have loved to have seen it.

I don't know if the version I just downloaded was identical to what was shown on Logo--except obviously there was no bleeping.  I found it to be a bit too long--by the thousandth random 'Fuck You!' that Bianca screamed at the audience, barely 20 minutes had passed.  She's better in small doses, IMO.  It reminds of her judge judy in snatch game, totally going too far.  Not all of it was funny, either.

I think Bianca does better at clubs and hosting because there's always something and someone new to bounce off of.  She absolutely is repetitive though. I've seen the "I can see you, this isn't TV" joke a dozen times, just off youtube.

I'd have to agree with those who said that this wasn't their favorite. To me, it felt a little "trying too hard." Like... Bianca is so good and so natural sometimes, that to see her pushing so hard to kind of prove that she was offensive, when like, yeah, we know you're an insult comic, so don't try so hard to offend us and just start offending us, if that makes sense. Stop trying; start doing. I don't know if that makes sense, but that's how it felt to me. I ended up just turning it off after 15 minutes.

That would be awesome if Logo would do that.  I could spend an hour just watching Ginger Minj do her impression of Edie the Egg Lady...it was pure gold! I love that Glamour Toad!
