FYI, Zac did have a nose job awhile back. It was surgery for a deviated septum and he had them reshape it while they were at it. His face did fill out though, in a good way. He got better with age.

I'm still behind and getting some random episodes. Saturday was the premier of Season 15 and then the Annabelle Curse one. I'm so annoyed Zak touched the damn doll. Not because I'm worried of his safety, but because it was really rude and disrespectful to Tony and Mrs. Warren.

Those images they saw in the season premier walking around the woods looked to be actual people to me. Probably some of the witches that practice in the woods. The whole episode had a Blair Witch vibe, especially with those hanging dolls.

Is it me or is this season more brutal than the past?  Last night was the first night I skipped the show. I guess I don’t want to be creeped out any longer.  I think the serial killer/Ed Gein episode was the beginning of the end for me, unfortunately.  I need light not dark...not that I will turn to sitcoms.

I may tune in again but did want everyone’s opinion about this season.  Maybe it’s what Zak has in his museum that has made the show darker?  Not sure.

Think Zak wanted to get the museum opened so it made sense to film most of the shows in LV so he doesn't have to be on location when he was trying to get the museum ready for the public.

A hour commercial featuring the museum's artifacts in form of an episode was good marketing.

The more gruesome the story, the more visitors are willing to part with their $34.

Competition to investigate a new location is tougher with the number of show competing for our eyeballs.

Yesterday's episode was not as dark and was more in line to shows of the past.

You get a mixed bag with GAC.

Agree, the season skewed towards the demonic more than not.

Yeah, especially about the competition. Suddenly there seems to be a shit-ton of investigation shows all over basic cable. If it's not Nessie-like water creatures, strange land formations or Bigfoot, it's ghosts & demons though Ghost Adventures is the best produced one in my opinion. With all the competition, they're having to get more creative to stand out but it's a losing battle. The museum is probably the endgame when the show stops being profitable.

Zak. Dude. You run a museum now. What on earth made you think it was a good idea to try to buy musuem exhibits?! You're lucky that lady didn't have you escorted off the property. Toy store. I'm sure they have one in Branson. That is where this Titanic thing is, right? The Titanic museum did look kind of cool, actually.

Overall, a decent ep. I was waiting for Zak to yell "teeny tiny figure!" when he saw the dots in the window, but alas, it was a day for disappointment.

Did the Titanic museum need publicity? That was my first question, when I saw what it was about.  Anyway, Titanic fascinates me, so I liked the museum, and the episode. It looks super cool.  The evidence was neat, not too exciting.  I don't think they uttered the word demon once!!

I think them trying to buy museum toys was just a time filler.  It was kinda funny.

I thought that too.  She made me laugh but she was pissing me off as well

Re the toy museum - it was strictly a museum, no store part at all? I missed the beginning of that segment. Anyway, I thought it made sense for them to want older toys rather than go to a local toy store with modern toys. You want toys that the children might’ve played with or at least would recognize! What kind of trigger objects would they be otherwise? ;-) I’m glad they heard me when I yelled to them not to go with robots! Lol.

GAC is usually more successful in renting authentic, vintage toys for trigger objects but that lady wasn't succumbing to Zak's charms and he was sent to the toy museum gift shop to purchase reproductions.

She obviously wasn't prompted by the production crew to play along but she didn't grasp that by renting  the toys from the vast collection she would have gotten $100 and the toys safely back on the shelf after a few days of being loaners in the investigation.

We enjoy that Zak was shot down at every turn to persuade the toy lady to do as he asks.

Yeah, toy lady was not having it. I get that they wanted toys familiar to kids in the early 1900s, but seriously. Any toy store should have had something that would do, and if there was a gift shop in that museum, he had no reason to hassle that poor lady. The thing is, these filler bits might be entertaining, but I don't think this was an episode that needed filler, since there was so much genuine history to talk about.

I guess they did end up with some good toys... and Oreos! Too bad Billy and Aaron had to break away from the musicians - maybe that would’ve been interesting. Although I still have a bit of a hard time wrapping my head around the idea of the spirits attached to a replica of the ship. Was there really anything there that had actually belonged to any of the musicians?

I just watched the Titanic museum investigation. I love that replica of the grand staircase. I kept expecting to see Jack and Rose every time they showed it, heh. I'm not sure I buy that hand print 'evidence' but I still enjoyed the episode. Years ago, they had a temporary Titanic exhibit where I live that had actual artifacts from the Titanic. You also got a card with a real passenger's name on it. Mine was a woman from second class. She survived but her husband didn't make it. It was a very cool exhibit. I wish they would bring it back.

Frankly, I thought the ghost investigation show genre had run its course some time ago.

Well, there are far more scary shows on TV.  The Dead Files tops the list of always demonic and completely creepy.  My Haunted House is pretty freaky and is Paranormal Survival or what ever it is called is harrowing.  I stoped watching those long ago.  I’ve written this before that I prefer shows that actually help the dead, not just folks who gather info and film it.  But that’s me.

Didn't these guys or another ghost investigation team investigate a Titan museum? I remember being just as skeptical about the other place which had relics from the ship on display causing hauntings.

It was another show, I know which one you're referring to. Ghost Hunters or something?

It seems so, but out of them all, Ghost Adventures is still my favorite.

I watched the Extra Pulses of the Longfellow's Wayside Inn last night - it's one of my favorites, just for all the goofing around and awkwardness. Man, Zak is like a completely different person! No stupid facial hair, no excess fake tan, no stupidly unattractive glasses, probably 30 pounds lighter, and he actually smiled! And was silly and fun!. He's since had his nose worked on, gotten veneers, and just gone completely dark. It's disconcerting.

And I've decided that if the episode description says anything about exorcisms or demons, I'm just not going to watch. None of the people in these are being plagued by demons, unless you count mental illness, abusive living situations, and/or substance abuse as demons. It's really exploitive, and I hope it is Travel Channel forcing these episodes because they have to go "dark" like every other damn network, and not something Zak wants to do. Maybe that's also why Zak appears so "dark" all the time now. The last new one before the break was probably the most uncomfortable of all.

Think Zak is evolving the show and dark seems to be the path.

Yes, the Sin City Exorcism was an extremely disturbing show...hopefully parents are monitoring their kids' viewing of such shows.

It is uncomfy watching the crew getting affected but they at least know how to cleanse themselves and not let the entities follow them to their homes and families, in this episode Billy, who has a wife.

Totally agree.  Dead Files I go on a case by case basis hah  thats about my limit I think   I dont watch any of those anthology story type of shows either  Paranormal Lockdown is my other guilty pleasure.  That and GA I'll watch no matter how dark they get.  Oh and Kindred Spirits.  Those are the 3 i dont miss. Haha no more no more. Zak has really changed this last couple/few seasons.  Yes he's darker, but he seems more chill, more into developing his own feelings and how to read/feel them.  I think he's been working with someone.  Whatever he's doing, it working imho

Aaron gets the worst of the negative and positive ion machinery testing...as usual.

Can't believe Zak touched that foot...

GA episode will help sell tickets for the Hollywood tourist attraction.....adults $22... kids $12

You mean that haunted doll's foot in that l last Halloween special? I'm not too surprised, to be honest, after the risks Zak took in the show before.

Weird. I don't remember that part. Either way, it's still not a surprise. Zak has taken several risks in the show before.

I could be wrong...the episodes kinda start blending into each other...went back to review the episode...

Zak does lift a 2000 year old Egyptian mummified foot out of the display.

The Ripley's museum didn't seem like scary hauntings, except around the Hate doll.  That was creepy! And the sword.   But the whole place didn't feel creepy like some places do, like The Alley recording studio.  That place was creepy right off the bat.  Just seems like a very bad place. Lot's of negative energy surrounding it.  And ghost cats!! What the heck?! What had to be happening there that two...two of the current owners girlfriends commited suicide?! That isn't good.

I saw the Titanic exhibit in San Francisco. It felt to me as if I was visiting a grave.

To change the subject, are most people sick of the ghost genre? There seems nothing on, any more. What happened to

"The Dead Files?" Now you see it, now you don't! I have no advanced notice that there are no shows!

Ok i was was rewatching one of the vicksburg eps (of which all were fantastic!). It was the Champion Hill Battlefield ep. The bone at the end........so many questions!!! Is it human or animal?  Did they keep it or turn it in?  Is it Civil War era?  Where did it come from?  I think it happened when they were distracted thinking someone was standing on sticks and breaking them.  That has to be to most fascinating area to investigate.  In and around Gettysburg. Thats where i believe i had a paranormal experience that scared the living shit right out of me lol.  And parents were cool enough to take us back several times. That should be a mandatory school field trip.  There is just so much to see and feel.

You know if it was human bone that Zak would have included it in the show in post production...he loves drama...it was probably an animal bone....

The battlefield investigations are interesting because it mixes history with the paranormal.
