Together on Graham's first sofa of the new series are Thor actor Chris Hemsworth and Oscar-nominated Jessica Chastain, co-starring in The Hunstman: Winter's War, Spiderman star Kirsten Dunst, promoting new sci-fi movie Midnight Special and comic British actor Stephen Mangan, appearing in TV drama Houdini and Doyle.

Chris Hemsworth confuses me -- he's so laid back it's almost like he's spoofing Australian stereotypes!!  Also, Australia is a beautiful place but if I ever saw a spider that large I would run straight to the airport and never return.

Now that was a pretty good episode. Nice change of pace.

All the actors interacted very well. No one outshone anyone else. That doesn't always happen. It helped that Chastain and Dunst had been on the show before.

And Stephen Mangan.  He's one of my favorite guests, plus I love Episodes.  I'm planning to try to watch Houdini and Doyle for him too.

My mom, who grew up on a farm, would always tell us as kids, "Spiders are our friends!" because they eat other, worse for humans, bugs. I don't know she'd say that faced it that Thor-sized spider, tho. I fully expected it to be wielding a wee mjolnir.

I've seen a ton of commercials for that Hemsworth movie, but not one of them has clued me in that Chastain is in the movie. Or I'm just not observant. (I liked the first one well enough. It's the only thing I've ever seen of K.Stew's, so I didn't have any anti-Stew bias going in.)

Fun show. Very relaxed. I kept thinking the musician looked familiar, and then Graham brought up Game of Thrones. Of course! Grey Worm!

The show looks good to me, too. I also like the actor who plays Houdini, Michael Weston. I liked him in Psych and Scrubs. I'm certain I've seen him elsewhere too.
