Sherri and her over the top stuff concerning Jeffrey is going to back fire right in her grinning face one of these days. She needs guidance

.

Sherri already receives guidance. From God.  Isn't that what she always says? God told me to do this. God led me down this path.

With all that has been happening in her life the past few years and some of the questionable decisions she has been making I'm going to say she might want to seek guidance from someone else.

Personally I don't think she understands prayer and such in the same way others might. She prays her credit card won't be declined for goodness sakes, says she'll pray if she finds Jeffrey watching porn.

Now, the first time Jeffrey told Sherri his "thing" hurt after seeing a woman with large breasts, did Sherri actually talk in a sensible way with him? I obviously don't know but I have a good guess.

I guess that she made up the story.

Just like Lizzie did with her stupid kid stories.

Even if she made up that story, that shows what her reaction would be. I don't know if I will be happier not having to think about her influence on that child. (I probably won't be watching any of her upcoming movies, Broadway shows or gospel comedy shows.) I know she loves him to pieces, but I hate the way she [tells us] is raising him.

Sherri shows up for the last day of taping in torn jeans.

Are amy adults still wearing shedded jeans?  Maybe this fashion faux pas was Throwback Thursday for Sherri and she forgot to Tweet, Instagram, and announce it on national TV.

"I always thought Whoopi was rude to Jenny and sometimes condescending. Maybe Jenny thought so too."

I think a lot of people noticed that Whoopi was rude and condescending to Jenny and that is why her leaving Whoopi out of her farewell was noticed by so many. Jenny knows better than to publicly diss Whoopi so she is covering that shit up. Jenny didn't have a snowballs chance in hell to succeed on this show and it is not her fault, in my opinion. She will be fine, though, I'm sure.

I think the shredded jeans are becoming stylish again: http://www.fashionising.com/trends/b--ripped-jeans-and-denim-fashion-trend-1150.html

As I sit here in my shredded jeans with a scrunchie in my hair, I rejoice. My sense of style involves a lot of just wearing the same thing and it coming back around to being popular (she said as she pushed her GIANT Julia Sugarbaker glasses back up the bridge of her nose).

I am not going to miss Sherri's Jeffrey stories. If any of these stories are actually true I honestly really worry about what type of man he is going to turn out to be. All of her stories make me cringe. I definitely would have no normal interest to follow Sherri outside of this show at all. I got all excited about the new Cinderella because I love KeKe Palmer and then I found out Sherri was going to be apart of the cast and my excitement turned to "meh, I'll just watch Keke on Masters of Sex instead".

ginger90, I missed Patrick Duffy's entrance.  What did he do?

thanks

Instead of walking through the open doors he just waved and walked past them as if he was going to stay backstage instead of come out. but then he turned around and came out.

Roger, I saw this posted on Jenny's Twitter:

"A whole section of my speech was missing in prompter 2 day Whoopi was not the only name missing. stop acting like it was on purpose. Luv her"

It would see like an "ACTRESS" as "TALENTED" as Jenny would have realized that "A whole section of her speech was missing" and could have ad libed a few thank yous..... I wonder who else was missing since she even thanked the staff..... I doubt her twitter post

To be honest, I only started noticing Whoopi disliked her after the news she was fired came out. I guess Whoopi didn't think she needed to front anymore since the people behind scenes and watching at home didn't like Jenny either.

I missed the farewell, since I tuned out after Hot Topics. Oh well, no loss there and good riddance.

I don't know if they were the same pair but she wore the same style last night when she was "bonding" with Jeffrey at a wrestling event. Maybe they stayed in the city and that's what she had.

Jeffrey was standing next to Bill Geddie during the show. And Sherri thought it was okay for the mom to call 911 on her kid for watching porn. And Sherri would drop to her knees and pray to Jeezus if she caught Jeffrey watching porn. I'm so glad Sherri is leaving. I don't like Sunny Hostin--did you know she went to law school and was a practicing attorney? I don't like Sippy Cup, either. I'm sick of Whoopi who has had every experience known to woman and knows better than everyone else what to do. She left school at 14, her daughter got pregnant at 14 and it seems she supports that family as well. Right, Whoopi. I really listen to you.

My apologies to all the shredded Jeanies...and especially Sherri.  I suppose a fashionista is a fashionista is a fashionista.  Maybe I'll hie myself to a mall and see if I can get me some-a-them shreds.  Just might try to find a crop top too...or crop one of my tops.   I'm 74, weigh over 200 and I have panache.  That's French for, "I think I look fabulous in everything, no matter what others (and photos) say."

I'm going to agree with Jenny that something was happening with the teleprompter because I was saying "come on teleprompter" during part of her speech.

But at the end when she threw to commercial when she was supposed to go to Sherri was on her.  And nothing.  Then Sherri did her "before we go" blah, blah, blah.  Then I stunned myself by saying, "Good job, Sherri."  Ack, I KNOW.  I will blame that bit of insanity on being so happy that the end is so near.

When Sherri was talking about Geddie and waved her arm in his direction as if recognizing him, she barely, if at all, looked at him.  She turned her face back toward Jenny as she did that.  I re-watched that part a few times and think it was a diss.

Not a lot of comments from Sherri during the man hunting shoes tepid topic.  She is so guilty of that behavior.

The "tribute" segment of Jenny was good.  I was thinking she really does have some talent and goes for it.  Happy trails and all that stuff to her.

I thought the part where Whoopi was talking about pre-nups with the little Muppet (a cockroach?) was a subtle diss at Sherri's ex!(just me?)

I could see Whoopi getting a dig in at Sherri.  Whoopi is no stranger to marrying men who wanted support after they split up. But she learned from her mistakes.  I think she knows (as well as all of us) know Sherri is doomed to repeat the same mistakes over and over again.

So was this it?  Is this season finally over?   First, The Year of Barbara  and of course by year they meant 3/4's of a season.  Then, perhaps as a reward to viewers for suffering through that, they fired 3/4 of the co-hosts and by fired of course they meant - keep them working for another month-six weeks.

By the way, I saw a commercial for The Talk the other day that emphasized they are all new during the month of August - which I suspect is a dig at this show. Ha!   I know they often work when The Spew is on one of it's many many week-plus long breaks and probably every Friday as well.   Maybe that's why they are beating this show?

Anyway,  if the live shows are done for the month then so am I.  Farewell S17/The Year of Barbara by Barbara/ Co-Host Bloodbath and Endless Auditions.

Live shows are done. Sherri's recorded farewell, which she's been plugging to death on Twitter, is Monday.

The recorded shows to me, make this show even crappier. One day they say goodbye, the next, a "new" show, dopey.

Suuuuure Jenny.  We'll pretend the side eyes Whoopi gave to you on a daily basis did not happen.

As for Whoopi being MIA, Deadline is reporting that they were testing "applicants" with Rosie at the Chew set.

Wow, I watched that clip included in that article and if those are some of Jenny's best moments the only words I have are vapid and too much screaming. Grow up.

I don't know if they were the same pair but she wore the same style last night when she was "bonding" with Jeffrey at a wrestling event. Maybe they stayed in the city and that's what she had.

It's still weird. You would think there would be extra outfits at The View.

The show may have already returned the Sherri wardrobe rack back to the "tacky inappropriate clothes for women who don't realize they're not 20 anymore" store that they borrowed them from, so she had to wear her own clothes.

I have zero interest in taping tomorrow's "Sherrie" show.

The show will be back on my "must record" list (after 2+ years off) come September in hopes the fluffy, light content focus has been scrapped and a strong group of cohosts has been assembled. Fingers crossed! Ya'll enjoy the rest of your summer and I'll see you in September!

Oh geez.... why do they have to script the shows??
They bring out some religious singers and Jenny asks.... what is it about Sherri that you love? The preacher is the first to speak and he says.... because she is sexy..... Isn't it odd that another church leader turns to sex to appreciate someone

What I thought was "so funny" was Arsenio, Sherri & her 3 guests all squished together on the couch & you could have driven a Mack truck between Jenny & Whoopi.  Really hilarious.

Oops:  Couch not coach.  Proof-read much?

Admittedly I only recorded the first show of the season and the off times Donnie was on (but deleted the episodes sight unseen as Twitter filled me in.) I have recorded and watched bits and pieces since the dismissals but I do think I may be back into DVRing it more come next month.

Going from the gospel church related segment, a Sherri retrospective and then to Bell Biv DeVoe singing their song Poison from 1990 was as confusing as Sherri can be herself. The last part where she was making her farewell speech it seemed kinda awkward to make those marriage/divorce jokes in front of Jeffery.

thought the same thing ,Roger.  Is someone trying to Gaslight us?  (old movie where a guy messes with his wife's mind)

Well, I guess buffoonery gives you a paycheck.

Old "country-western" star, Minnie Pearl played a version of a buffoon...but everything was scripted.  Minnie was a character.   Do you remember that country bumpkin with the price tag hanging from her straw hat?  The actress/director who portrayed her very successfully ($$$$) for decades was an educated and wealthy woman.  I heard stories from all areas of showbiz that people yearned to be invited to her parties, her dinners--and that she was always in the top of society.  She was intelligent and well-read and "Minnie Pearl" existed only on stage, screen, radio and television.  I'm sure Whoopi has given Sherri advice to live her life accordingly; she just can't.

Minnie Pearl was "Mrs. Henry Cannon" when I worked in the society section of The Nashville Tennessean back in 1970. She was a socialite. Or Lucille Ball who only played a clown on TV; she ran Desilu in the sixties.

Sherri is just Sherri; didn't her friends say today that "she is always the same"? Whatever works, I guess. Fine line between clown and buffoon.

Sherri doesn't seem to know the difference between "laughing with" and "laughing at."
