BogoGog24 March 1, 2016 Share March 1, 2016 I generally like MacKenzie and would place him in my top 3. My problem with him though is a) His voice is very weak. Especially when he tries to belt. And b) His song choices are becoming predictable (Say Something, I See Fire). He's got to do more than that if he hopes to last on this show. I think he has enough fans (he has the second most Twitter followers behind Dalton) to get him through voting for the next few rounds, but once the obvious fodder (Gianna, Tristan, Lee) are gone, that won't cut it anymore. If you don't have a good voice, you at least have to do interesting songs (like Dalton does). People are going to get bored of the coffeehouse shtick soon. 1 Link to comment
AndreaK1041 March 5, 2016 Share March 5, 2016 I'm not exactly sure what the current voting demographic is for Idol at this point (I know viewership is older, but I'm making an assumption that people who actually vote skew younger), however, I think this kid is a frontrunner. I don't think he's the best, but I think he's most likely to get votes from a group of people who do not care either way how he performs week to week. Link to comment
