Athena February 25, 2016 Share February 25, 2016 Joining Graham on the sofa are Oscar-winner Kate Winslet and X-Men and 12 Years a Slave star Michael Fassbender, co-starring in new Danny Boyle film Steve Jobs. Also on the show are rapper, actor and entrepreneur 50 Cent; and national treasure Julie Walters, starring in period drama Brooklyn. With music from Ellie Goulding. Link to comment
sugarbaker design March 25, 2016 Share March 25, 2016 Wow, one of Graham's best, nice assembly of guests who wouldn't normally mix (Julie Walters and Fifty Cent) and movie stars who can actually have a conversation (Winslet and Fassbender). I could watch it again in its entirety. Link to comment
dubbel zout March 25, 2016 Share March 25, 2016 Julie Walters is one of my favorite guests. She's always so funny. She had some nice chemistry with Fiddy, which was a bit unexpected. 2 Link to comment

attica March 26, 2016 Share March 26, 2016 I loved Educating Rita; my household still uses JW's over-pronunciation of "Hello, Fraaaaaank" with each other. (None of us is named Frank,) I loved that BAFTA photo. Big perms and too many drinks -- oh, Julie, I've been there! Fifty ("May I call you 'Fifty'?") did a nice job with Julie's inappropriate curiosity about his tongue shrapnel. He clearly did not want a stranger to put her fingers in his mouth, but he was game enough to figure out a workaround. And you know what? Bless him for admitting out loud that men doing oral sex on women is being 'a better man.' Fassbender's Irish accent is charming. Sargasso Sea, however, is NOT a good name for a metal band. I'm picturing, like, a Canadian alt-rock vibe. Ellie Goulding's performance posture made me wonder how she can walk after a concert -- her neck and knees must be killing her! I loved Winslet's impersonation of her daughter's sputtering rage about the Hemsworth Ab-ratory. 2 Link to comment

Mumbles April 3, 2016 Share April 3, 2016 This was a pleasant episode. Winslet can get a little blowsy at times but Graham and the other guests didn't bring that out in her, I guess. And why I find it a little lame, I do respect that she admits how important and exciting the Oscar was to her. A lot of folks adopt a too-cool approach to winning one. She desperately wanted one and doesn't care who knows it (I still cringe a little thinking about her acceptance speech, in which she talked about how she used to pretend as a kid that she won the award, using a shampoo bottle as a prop). I think it's a little sad that someone as talented as her needs such outside approval and approbation, but at least she doesn't put on a "feh, I don't care" act. Link to comment
