I'd love to get answers to:

1- Why do Regina's victims, like Percival, who's family and friends were murdered in front of him as a child by a completely remorseless Regina, get treated like villains?

2-Why didn't Emma get to have a reaction after watching  Belle give up her baby boy? S1/s2 Emma would have had a heart rending emotional scene at reliving that trauma.

3-After Emma spent nearly all of 4a terrified she would lose Killian, then having to watch as Rumple nearly crushed his heart...why did they go all the way back to Granny's to put his heart back and why did Emma display absolutely no emotional after affects, she was smirking when she replaced the heart... and go drinking with Regina, instead of having the much needed conversation about how Rumple got Killian's heart in the first place?

4-These people go through these incredibly painful and emotionally scarring experiences but they never show any PTSD or ongoing after affects. They're not robots...they're carrying major emotional damage....but we never get to see it. Why? And, no, Emma flopping on Archie's couch doesn't begin to scratch the surface of that.

5-Emma has now witnessed Regina murder 1 and both her parents. The 1st time, Emma cried on Killian's shoulder but as soon as they were back in SB, Emma's groveling at Regina's feet to forgive her for saving Marion from a similar burning at the stake. Yes, Snow survived, but the image of seeing Regina gleefully burning her mother alive, can't be unseen.....yet, Emma said not a word about it ..nor is it ever discussed. Why can Emma never react to Regina's cruelty?

6- the BIG one....why does even Emma, herself, whitewash that Neal & August sent her to prison and emotionally eviscerated her? And why hasn't she told her parents the full story?..because nobody should name their kid after a guy who did that to their other kid. And don't give me that 'for her own good' rubbish.

...oh wow...I am definitely hanging onto some anger that I need to let go...!

I would love for someone to ask Jen what Emma thinks of her baby brother's name? Given that she once asked Josh "When are you going to punch Neal in the face for sending me to jail?", she just might give an honest answer...

I'd also like to ask if we're supposed to assume that Snow and Charming know what Neal did to Emma since it has never been discussed on screen.

I'd be more willing to put her on the spot than Colin. She's a lot more naturally outspoken and doesn't have his degree of shyness/social anxiety when in public, so I don't think she'd be taken aback by that kind of question. And with her contract expiring, she's got a bit more leverage if they want her back, so she can probably get away with more. So, yeah, I'd love to ask that question.

In a one-on-one interview that wasn't in a public forum, I'd be willing to ask him about how Hook was affected, and I would likely get a thoughtful answer, but in front of a convention audience with the executive producers there, it would just be cruel, and all we'd get would be the deer-in-the-headlights look, some furious blushing, a stammer or two, and then A or E would jump in and answer with some nonsense that has nothing to do with what we see on the screen.

1- Why do Regina's victims, like Percival, who's family and friends were murdered in front of him as a child by a completely remorseless Regina, get treated like villains?

A&E: "Well, they haven't worked as hard as Regina. They don't see how much of a hero she has become, and that's sad."

Quote

2-Why didn't Emma get to have a reaction after watching  Belle give up her baby boy? S1/s2 Emma would have had a heart rending emotional scene at reliving that trauma.

A&E: "It would have cut into Regina's screen time, unfortunately."

Quote

3-After Emma spent nearly all of 4a terrified she would lose Killian, then having to watch as Rumple nearly crushed his heart...why did they go all the way back to Granny's to put his heart back and why did Emma display absolutely no emotional after affects, she was smirking when she replaced the heart... and go drinking with Regina, instead of having the much needed conversation about how Rumple got Killian's heart in the first place?

A&E: "See above answer."

A&E: "We would say Regina carries a ton of major emotional damage. We saw it in the Underworld with her father, and again in 6A after her loss of Robin. The question is, how do you cope with that emotional damage? Is there such a thing as a happy ending? We'll be exploring that in 6B with Robin's return in great detail."

5-Emma has now witnessed Regina murder 1 and both her parents. Yes, Snow survived, but the image of seeing Regina gleefully burning her mother alive, can't be unseen.....yet, Emma said not a word about it ..nor is it ever discussed. Why can Emma never react to Regina's cruelty?

A&E: "Emma has always seen the good in people since day one. She can relate to Regina because she also did some questionable things in her past. Eventually, she learned how to move on from that. She believes others can do the same, and that's how she helps them get their happy endings."

Quote

6- the BIG one....why does even Emma, herself, whitewash that Neal & August sent her to prison and emotionally eviscerated her? And why hasn't she told her parents the full story?..because nobody should name their kid after a guy who did that to their other kid. And don't give me that 'for her own good' rubbish.

A&E: "Well, Neal and August did it for her own good. We're sure Emma told her parents what happened offscreen. But, like we've said before, she's a very forgiving person. Neal and August have redeemed themselves since, and she sees that. That's why it's never been an issue."

Just so no one is mislead, that's an e-card that anyone can send if you have an subscription. There are a ton of names and greetings to choose from. Shatner must have done a lot of recording for that! Still, it was nice of him to send it to Colin!

So there are a lot of different versions of the same thing, with different names? That's interesting, but I have one of those weird names, so I doubt there's one for me. I never found my name in keychains, etc.

Yep!

And you're right, I don't see your name. Although there's a Sheena, which I feel would be less popular of name than Shanna!

My question on Reddit for Natalie Abrams' hot seat article is close to the bottom now. I was happy to see, "Will Emma ever learn the truth that Regina murdered Graham?" in the most upvoted post, though. It's funny that whenever A&E have been approached with that question before, they've said she still believes Graham died of natural causes. Wouldn't it be easier to say she found out about it offscreen? They've left the door open indefinitely.

If the actor was available when they filmed 5B, I wonder if they would have brought him back to tell Regina that he forgives her, along with flashbacks that he was a really bad person who actually deserved to die, and then an ending with Regina/Emma bonding and forgiving EACH OTHER - "What were WE doing to each other back then?  I'm so glad we're past that".

I 100% believe A&E see Graham and Regina equally at fault for the downfall of their "relationship". They probably don't think it was rape, either.

‘Once Upon a Time’: Ranking 16 of the Show’s Best Disney Characters

This is hilarious because it puts Hook on the same list as Aladdin, Jasmine, Merlin, and freaking Merida. But it gets better. Look what it says about Robin:

Quote

The archer with a heart of gold not only stole from the rich to give to the poor, he helped Neal, took down a flying monkey, was a good father to his young son, aided Regina in sneaking into Zelena’s castle, and generally fought against bad guys. Plus, he became Regina’s true love, which cemented her transformation into a hero.

Any good father would use his toddler as shadow bait, leave his kid in the woods while he went to the Underworld, and start dating his mother's killer while the "mother" was still alive.

Although, Merlin's description was pretty accurate. I'm not sure what makes him on the list:

Quote

Powerful sorcerer? Hardly. Despite wielding great magic, Merlin was defeated again and again, and was responsible for helping create the first Dark One.

I wonder if the HotSeat questions are made by A&E.  How convenient someone asked if we will find out why Emma's last name is Swan, eh?

Natalie Abrams picks them, and she knows spoilers. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Not sure about all the questions but with that particular one, she knew ahead of time. The press screener was released before the hot seat was published, which would explain why she would either choose a question like that from fans or put it in there herself.

Jen is doing a play with Matthew Perry this summer. Good for her, but that's potentially problematic for the four conventions she's signed up for, especially the Europe ones, I should imagine. I can't imagine she'll be able to make all or maybe even any of them, which will suck for the fans. One of the reasons I'd never spend a lot of money on cons -- you never know if someone will cancel.

Speaking of cons, the schedule for the Vancouver con this weekend is out. Looks like Saturday is a whole lot of Captain Swan and Sunday is the Evil Sisters day. So no SQ photo ops or Q&A sessions. I haven't checked the fandom to see the potential drama associated with that. Also, Karen David has been added as a last-minute replacement so maybe some good Jasmine spoilers?

We're just dying to know if Jasmine's tiger makes it into it.

Ha! To be fair, she's replacing Elliot Knight, so at least people will be able to ask relevant questions and not something about a storyline that happened more than a year ago.

Apparently he may have hurt it during the musical ep. SMH.

It must not be a really BAD injury because he's traveling and can take the boot off. Certainly nothing like the skiing accident that put him out of commission for weeks.

Great podcast interview with Colin by Adam's brother. Colin's part starts about the 20:00 mark.

Some tidbits: Colin broke his fifth metatarsal falling over a chair. He was supposed to run up the chair and tilt it over a la Gene Kelley for the musical. But he did it four more times after it and then danced 8 more hours. And waited five days before getting an X-ray.

He sings on two songs.

He was on the short-list for Superman. Also came close to some other big things but wouldn't name them.

He clearly knows what's up for next season but wouldn't say anything specific.

Great story about Anthony Hopkins going over his script process with him on The Rite.

Wow, what a trooper! I'm now super excited to see him do that chair move, as well as the rest of the dancing!

He's got the face for Superman, but I don't think he has the physique, even though I prefer his slim figure to someone who is super muscular.

How did I not know Josh Horowitz and Adam Horowitz were brothers?!

That was a great podcast and Colin seemed a lot more relaxed and cheeky in this interview than some other interviews that he's been forced to give. This is why I'm hesitant to go to a OUAT convention, because while it would be awesome to meet Colin and some of the actors in person, I always felt like they put on a bit of a fake personality just to get through the crazy weekend, which Colin confirmed he sort of does. I'd much rather talk one-on-one with the cast and crew over a cocktail or coffee instead of a crazy fandom environment, but unfortunately that's never going to happen.

They haven't done that since the start of season 3. Probably a combination of slashed budget and deciding to put money in other places like Comic Con promotion or something different like that.

So it seems like this fandom has shown us a portion of how bad it can get. At the Barcelona Con yesterday, Lana started to answer a question (don't know what it was exactly) and she said she thinks Hook has made progress, which caused the audience to boo and she very calmly told them enough was enough and that the hate needed to stop. She then went on to say that while Regina doesn't like Hook, she tolerates him and is happy that Emma is happy. Which of course caused more hate. If an actor/actress feels the need to defend his/her answer to a question, there is something seriously wrong.

Truth be told, I'm shocked this doesn't happen more often. I mean, in general, not just with this particular fandom.
