Well, that was awful. Why couldn't they just send Jaxson home and not Zach? I was really hoping for a Tim Gunn save for Zach, though it would have been pretty awkward to do that for just one of the two eliminated designers. Maybe they'll surprise us with a Zach save next week...

Maya's outfit was SO good! Samantha's was excellent too, probably my favorite thing she's done this season. But Maya's was amazing.

This was an emotional episode. I even got a little verklempt when Zachary and Jaxson went home. I could see sending Jaxson home but not Zach, he won last week. And yes, it would have been awkward if Tim had saved Zach with Jaxson sitting there. I doubt if Tim will save Zach later because I think there's only a few more episodes left.

I liked the two designs that won. They both fit 17 magazine's aesthetic. I liked the tops of Peytie's design but not those big, baggy pants. I liked Zachary's skirt but not the Casino workers top.

I think the four designers who are left are very talented, it will be interesting to see which three make it to the finale.

That was a bit of a surprise to send both of them home.  I would absolutely wear Maya's outfit and Samantha's shorts.  Really well done for both young ladies, but I think Maya definitely had the better outfit.

Funny that the outfits designed for a teen magazine were more appropriate for the adult women they usually design for!  *LOL*

I love these kids.  They really do have great attitudes and terrific work ethics.

But what happened to all the faux fur?  I hope it was treated humanely and fashioned into a lovely decorative throw.  Edged in the leftover silky tie fabric, it would be a fabulous sofa accent!

What I really want is the black dress Peytie was wearing in the opening street scenes. i find myself checking out whatever she is wearing...I am sure she designs her own clothes, and they look great. That said, I loved her two tops but the pants were so voluminous, they lost any sense of the body underneath.  Her sense of color and pattern is the best, and the black and white top was cut and fitted so beautifully.

Maya's look was exactly what was on order...fashion forward and editorial, and it looked great. Any of the pieces was wearable alone or together.

Peytie and Maya blow away the adult designers of season 14...yes, Candice and Ashley, I am looking at you.

Didn't notice Zachary's skirt until the judges pointed it out...the jacket was so matronly, the print so awful, that wondering about the sleeve length seemed ridiculous.

It was not salvageable. A serious eyesore. But I am glad he is still in contention.

Samantha's cargo shorts...did they have a black line up the rear? Or was I imagining that? They were ok, but the top killed me...summer in NYC, where I live, is hot, humid and the thought of a sleeveless turtleneck makes me sweat just thinking about it. Still, the judges continue to love her. She's their pick.

Expected Jaxson to get the chop, but not Zach.

Not only are these teenage designers more talented than the adults from S14, but they are so much more gracious and genuine. So often on PR, the eliminated designers are bitter and/or talking about how awesome but misunderstood they are. In the face of a double elimination so close to the finale, Jaxson and Zach talked about how they would miss the other designers who have become like a family and how much they enjoyed the experience. It was definitely time for Jaxson to go home but I was sad just because he was so sincere in his exit interview. I didn't think Zach needed to be eliminated too. His outfit was definitely better than Jaxson's.

Loved the top that Peytie made, but those pants kept her out of contention for winning. I was really worried when her initial inspiration was white jeans. Last night on black-ish, they had a plotline about asking someone to wear a white denim jacket because it would be so awful. I looooooved the black dress she was wearing when she was interviewing people on the street though.

Once again, I did not like Samantha's outfit. I didn't know whether to laugh or cry when she said she was using the construction worker's pants as her inspiration because cargo pants have been popular for about twenty years now. I do not get the judges' love for her designs.

On the other hand, I loved Maya's design. She mixed so many elements without making her outfit look too busy. It looked fresh but still wearable. I also loved that she had so many pieces that could be worn with other things in an existing wardrobe.

I totally get Zachary's silk tie inspiration but I agreed that his little jacket ended up looking like something a blackjack dealer would wear. If he had used that material as a trim or somehow used it on a smaller area, I think it wouldn't have looked so Vegas. He got bonus points from me this week for telling Jaxson and Zach to leave in a giant boom of glitter (Or did he say "pool of glitter"? I watched it a couple of times and couldn't figure out which one it was).

Jaxson's dress was cute but nothing new. And unfortunately, pairing it with the jacket did nothing good. The other issue for me was that the jacket didn't look right in that fabric.

Zach's shorts were cute but I agree that they would have looked better a little bit shorter. I didn't like the top though.

I hated Samatha's (very well made) "shorts" so much--and I hate them when I see them at ordinary non-fashionable stores too. But I loved her shirt (I might try to copy that this weekend with an old sweater and some scrap faux-leather fabric; wish me luck). I also hated Zachary's asymmetrical skirt, though that too looked like it was nicely executed. I did like the idea of Mya's skirt--loved the grommets and the green--but I didn't like where the green layer started and stopped, I guess? Too "exactly in the middle" or something. I don't know. (Ha, I get all pissy about too asymmetrical but then I don't like perfectly even alignment either--just like at work when I'm proofing designers' layout pages. Ooh, I'm kind of a pain!)

IKR?  I hated the way Jaxson was flustered over no one on the street willing to stop and talk to him.  Well if you didn't act like such a dork.....gah, I'm sorry I'm feeling a bit bishy this morning and Jaxson should have gone a long time ago.  It bugs all the talented people that left and his mediocre ass continued to take up space.

These kids get along so well.  They looked like a pile of puppies on that couch hugging Zack and Jaxon.   Adorable cast.

I get Samantha's style and know why they love her.  I like her ideas and some of her executions.  I didn't care for last nights sleeveless turtle neck, I have never liked those,  but I think with more time to choose fabric and construction the shorts would have been better.  I like where she is coming from.  Translating men's construction wear into women's street clothing is fabulous.

I liked Maya's outfit very much. I am surprised they didn't ask her to take the vest off; I wanted to see what was underneath more closely.  Makes me think they edited it because there was a glaring flaw.  See what reality TV has done to me?   I am not even sure if I trust my mail carrier (just came as I typed this!).

I bet Tim does not save anyone.  He would not want to show favoritism. They are young and could take it to heart and feel left out or not liked.  Teen egos are fragile.

This is a really good point. To use the save would be dramatic for the show and ideal for one designer -- and I think Zach is worth saving -- but it would be destructive for the group. They've bonded as a community and Tim is a mentor to all of them, and for him to pick a "favorite" would be heartbreaking. I hadn't thought about it from that point of view.

What a nice season I haven't enjoyed a PR in several years (well since that move to Lifetime). It seems like competitive reality TV has run out of talented adults and has turned to kids and youth to fill the airways. I'm also enjoying kids talented cooking, singing, dancing, spelling etc this month.

Glad they picked two winners for the editorial. Funny that the outfits worked together better than so many team attempts challenged to do just that!

Kudos to the comment that these contestants get along and work a lot better than the adults on PR.  They don't have to be BFFs or get cheesy with it but the fact that they show each other respect--well that speaks volumes in reality tv.  Good job!

As far as the Tim Gunn save goes there are 4 people left and the judges could say only 3 are going to FW but Tim Gunn could use his save next week and have either 4 at the finale like it seems to be on regular P.R. or simply have the bottom 2 duke it out next week for the finale spot at FW.

This entire season has been refreshing, a much better watch than the
grownup version, at least the last several seasons of it (or all/any
of the Lifetime yrs). Here we mostly see designing and sewing and
the petty personal bullshit and cattiness is left out/non-existant.
If only they could bring this point of view to the grownup version.
Maybe they wouldn't be losing viewers by the droves or having such
lackluster winners as Ashley and that former Miss whatever chick who
couldn't even sew.

I liked Jaxson, cute kid, but he hasn't done much all season & I was
surprised he even made it to the top 6.

I'd like to see Maya or Peytie win. Both are incredibly talented.
Samantha is talented and has a strong point of view but she's so
smug I have a hard time rooting for her.

Dirtybubble, I agree that Jaxson went alot further than his talent,
but I can understand/relate to how he was so flustered. He's a kid
from a less urban area. NY can be very intimidating especially if
you're a nerdy kid from the burbs/country. He may be confident with
his peers but is probably very shy & goofy with adults.

I think any teenager would be shy about approaching strangers in the street!

Maya's a wunderkind, isn't she? I wonder if Christian sees a little of himself in her. He won PR at what, 21?

I've come to love Peytie, I think she is adorable. I look at her clothes too, Knuckles! She always looks so fresh and well put together. I am amazed at how self possessed and socially adept these kids are! As a teen I could barely carry on a conversation and certainly couldn't navigate an experience like this must be! Props to them all, really.

I want a Project Runway, Jr. "All Stars" or reunion show down the road. I am curious to what happens to the young talents. They are being thrust into a temporary spotlight of adulation and fame. I hope scholarships follow for everyone on the show.

Jaxon is a really talented designer, and he's adorable with a great personality, so I am sad to see him go home, regardless of the ageist sexist homophobic hatred he's inspired by being himself. And the double elimination was quite fucked up and out of nowhere. Why not wait to eliminate someone before the finale? I'm still bored with samantha's endless one-note.

Pepper Mostly,

That black dress was so perfect for summer in NY...and the crop top and skirt from the last episode...girlfriend could set up an online site and I would be buying. That goes for Maya as well...even that asymmetrical hoodie she designed looked fresh, which is a very tough thing to do.

I agree about the cargo pants though...i have seen cargo pants, cropped or not, for 20 years as well. How is this innovative or fashion forward? And that heavy sleeveless turtleneck...in 90 degree NY weather with soaring humidity, you would be reduced to a sweaty mess before you walked half a block.

Why Samantha, judges? She has neither the talent nor the skills or Maya or Peytie, and none of the charm.

I don't want to sound creepy, even though I know it will, but Peytie is so beautiful and attractive already. Great personality and style, she's going to rule the world.

She had her own line even befor the show. I guess she supplies local shops. I love her aesthetic, although I like all 4 of the remaining designers. They are amazing!

Peytie looked like a kid to me for the first time when she was on the runway at the end of the show. I agree, she could rule the world someday. A few of these kids could really do something, I think, unless they start to develop attitudes from getting so much praise so early.

I thought Maya was good for a solo win, because of the black line in the asscrack on Samantha's outfit. I was down for the double win, though. The double elimination I felt was setup to bring one back, and to give him a bit of a confidence boost (since the judges commented on how he was down). Reading the comments above, though, I hope they don't do it.

I don't think this is just better than the last season of Project Runway. I rewatched a bunch of them recently out of boredom (they're great background, and I don't remember the boot order until way into the season so it feels sort of fresh), and I think this is one of the best Top 4 overall. Or at least they're one of my favorites.

I hope they can cast another season like this, and keep the judging panel. They have their flaws, but I like them all. And I've come to love the host. I can't remember a first-season host who was this enjoyable. Usually they (and the show) need to find a groove.

I want a Juniors vs. Seniors season, so these kids can mop the floor with their adult counterparts.

I won't miss either Zach or Jaxson. Their mannerisms were grating on me -- Zach seemed sedated while Jaxson gave the impression of being on speed. But I sure felt bad for both of them when they were eliminated. And I don't buy stupid Kelly Osborne's "we feel worse than they do" sentiment either.

Is the hostess so bran dead that she couldn't take a second to ask. "Isn't it kind of dumb to say 'The six of you have the highest an lowest scores.' when there are only 6 contestants left?"

And again we saw Tim giving Jaxon extra help at Mood. I'm just glad he didn't use his save on him.

Maya deserved a solo win, I thought. Liked Peytie's a lot but I was looking at the pants she was wearing thinking that their flowy fabric would have worked so much better for the outfit. The denim didn't hang very well.

Did not like Samantha's and still do not get the judge love. "Smug" is a good description, especially when she spoke about getting to talk to "her people." I prefer the uninhibited excitement of Jaxson or Maya (how cute was that when she flapped her arms around like Kermit the Frog?)

I thought it was not a good idea to have the young designers approach strangers on the streets. Yes, the camera person and producer were there, but it's still a weird situation in which to place the designers. I would never want a 'senior vs. junior' season unless they would guarantee that only older designers with good attitudes and non-snarky personalities would be invited. There is no way I would want the enthusiasm and niceness of the young designers to be affected by the attitudes we have seen from some of the ault designers.

I think that the black line on the back of Sam's cargo pants was a black (outside) zipper. I saw nothing innovative about her pants (except the back zipper) as I can't even say how many years cargo pants-both full length and short-have been around. I probably have 2 pairs in my closet and there is NOTHING cutting edge or fashion forward about me (I would be a bit trendy when I was younger, but that was a while ago).

I don't get the Sam preference that the judges show. I like Maya or Peyton for the win, but we shall see.

Oh, before I forget, I loved Tim in this episode. I am so glad that he opened Mini Mood for the designers-I don't think it impacted the end result at all, but it gave hope to the designers who were feeling a bit of despair and that I appreciate. I also liked his sincere 'love you' to the designers as well as his tears at the end. The tears did not mean that he thinks they should not have been eliminated, but they showed his appreciation for their efforts and attitudes.

Pepper, I feel the same way aboue Peytie. At first I assumed she
would just be a Californian airhead but she's really talented & sweet.

I love her ability to match patterns/colors. And she works hard. Which
again goes to show me never to trust my first biased impressions.

BlueJay, I get ya. Yeah she is. You don't sound creepy at all!

Glade, I find Jaxson adorable too. Designwise I think he just needs
more time and maturity. I will miss him, too.

Samantha certainly is charmless but I think she will do well with her
skills and strong point of view. I personally don't care for her
designs but I think many others do/will. I can easily see her though
turning into one of those arrogant snipey designers who are usually on
the adult version of the show. She'd fit in right now.

Phoenix, I agree with you about the host. I think Hannah has done a
good job especially as a first time host. Hell, I'd much rather watch
Hannah host than Alyssa Milano. Hannah seems more geniune.

Tim has been more likeable this season as well. I bet these kids were
a breath of fresh air to him after the adults these past few seasons.

Well, I was sad to see Jaxon go. Not that I thought he could or should win, but for me, he was the underdog of the season. He comes from a tiny town in Kansas and learned to sew from his grandma and 4H, while some of the kids come from backgrounds that have given them a lot more advantages. Of all of them, he probably had the most opportunity to learn and grow from the experience.

"Yes, Jaxson, you use all of that fabric.  All of it!"  Zach made me lol with that comment.  When the designers ask each other their opinions, I always wonder how tempted they are to just say, "Yes, it's fabulous," even if it's hideous.  But these designers all seem so sweet and supportive, they may try to be honest but diplomatic about it.

I'm sad to see Jaxson go, too, but it's mostly because he's so sweet and goofy, not because he deserves to be in the finale. Similarly sad to see Zach depart. I have to go out on a limb and say I respect the hell out of these kids for being who they ARE, without pretense. When I was in high school (which granted was when God was a boy), my gay guy friends had to pretend to be straight or they probably would have been injured by the jock community, and I don't mean that as an unfunny joke.

I'm rooting for Peytie, Maya or Zachary. I'm actually kind of sad all three of them can't win. Of course, since I'm supporting them, I'm sure Sam will win. Sorry, guys.

I LOVE this show, especially as compared to all the other PR iterations. These kids are awesomely talented and I hope they remain the nice humans they all (mostly) seem to be.  Hannah is becoming a better host, and whoever said it is correct: she's better than Alyssa Milano. Give her a few years and she'll be as good as Heidi!!

I have been watching previous seasons of PR All Stars on Hulu, with Angela Lindvall and Carolyn Murphy as hosts.   Both women, along with Hannah, are better hosts than either Heidi or Alyssa Milano (who was dreadful, in part because her pregnancy was such a huge distraction).

What's bittersweet about PR Juniors is that these kids come from all over the country.  For a brief time they're surrounded by other kids just like them.   It must feel so right.   I mean, a kid like Jaxson has to be an anomaly out in the Kansas farm country; now, after weeks of camaraderie with other kids who share his passion, he has to pack up and go back to Alfalfaville.   It's a shame.

That's a really good point.  Watching reality shows from the early 2000s, or even some of the major ones today, you can see people hiding (or production editing things out).  That these kids are just themselves (as much as is possible on this kind of show) is pretty rad, though I do wonder what happens when they go home.

Also- I'm glad there's no parents, even as models for a challenge.  I'm sure they'll pop in at some point, but it's nice that Lifetime didn't go the route it has with some of their other kid-based reality shows.

I think Jaxson had a hard time with fabric choice all season. To be fair though, I think all the young designers have struggled with fabric choice to some extent, which has been very interesting for me as a viewer. And it's also something that the designers will get a better grasp on as they gain experience.

I liked the concept of Jaxson's jacket, but the fabric made it too stiff and wide.

I thought Zachary's blackjack dealer jacket was actually pretty cool. Yes, it was mature, and maybe it didn't fit the challenge as well, but I wish they didn't talk about "older" clothing in such a derogatory way. As if older women just go around in powder blue track suits all the time!

I loved Maya's look. [ninagarcia] It looked expensive [/ninagarcia]

Overall, these young designers have been so fun to watch! They have been so positive and honest. I love that they have been open to instruction and criticism. Tim Gunn has given some pretty harsh critiques, but the designers all seem to take it in stride. I don't know if it's because they are kids and so are used to being in a teaching situation, but they certainly display so much more humility and less ego than the adult designers of seasons past.
