I still love looking at that fabulous house Abby lives in.

This was the only reason I still watched.  I WANT those bedside table lamps.

But it comes with a price -- I have never hated myself as much as I do after an hour of this show.  Here's to better writers this season.

Something seems different this season...different production quality maybe? I'm getting a sex in the city vibe :) I do like watching for the fashion and house porn...I like how they had a stylist before commercial giving us an update on Phoebe's wardrobe

DAMN! where's all my fellow show haters from last season??

I gave up on it after last season. I just checked how it did on Tuesday night and it barely scraped into the top 100 cable shows. That might be why nobody's here.

I'm vaguely following the recaps to see if I need to start watching again, but as of the end of last year, there was practically no-one on this show, with the exception of Phoebe, her farmer, and [some of] the children, who I don't wish ill. But particularly Jo and Jake, who they say we're going to be spending lots of quality time with, because Abby is an idiot.

So, no, not unless something changes drastically (I'm open to fridging Jo, Jake, and everyone involved in the rich guy lawyer adultery subplot. I'd add Phoebe's psycho pimp predator stalker, but I'm trying to pretend that didn't happen), probably not.

I binge watched this show a couple of months ago having known nothing about it.  I enjoyed it. Its not the Soprano's or anything but its a humorous way to spend an hour.  It would be easy to ruin the bits about it I like so looking forward to this season in hopes they don't do that.

Phoebe's abuse storyline is one of the major things that made me can it. Most TV shows don't handle abuse well and I have zero faith in the writers to deal with that appropriately. I don't even know why they're going there in a show like this.

The Abby/Jake thing is just annoying too. He treats her like crap and we're supposed to believe they're still deeply in love. He's a creep. When I saw all the promos were about them, I was like HELL NO!

I was one of the hate-watchers in the first season, but it got so bad, I finally lost any interest & stopped watching.  I was baffled that Bravo execs bluffed their way into getting this thing another season.  Ratings were mostly awful.  Bad idea to renew this show.  Ratings for this ep were horrendously bad at 707 thou.  I'm not surprised.  Despite ratings of nearly 2 mil for BH, & zillions of commercials for this show during the broadcast of BH, & marathon runs of season 1 on Tuesday (the day of its premiere) & all during the past week, wowza, it tanked really badly.

With all due respect to those few who say they liked it, season 1 was an absolute mess.  Terribly & senselessly written & badly miscast, I thought it became impossible to watch, even to hate-watch.  Noxon is a far cry from Sarah Treem.  Noxon is the sole reason this was such a mess last season.  I think it's beyond help & should have been cancelled.

Nope, despite seeing billions of commercials for this, while watching BH, I did not tune in.  I watched a later broadcast on mute for a few moments to see Abby's house, for the same reasons others have said, and to kinda/sorta see who has made it back.  I see the actor who plays Jake looks somewhat (only somewhat) less homely than he did last season.  That's nice.  Big woo.

And the guy who was to be supposed to Abby's much younger 20-something boyfriend, played by an actor who was 40, but looked 50, is not there anymore.  Still not caring much.  Phoebe was doing something, but I don't care what, cuz she's such a whiny moron.  And the lawyer gal is still toying around with that slimy-looking rich guy, who looks like the rich guy Samantha dallied with 15 years ago on Sex and the City.  I'll pass on all of this.

I doubt I'd even lurk in this thread again cuz I'm just not into it.

I really liked S1. Maybe it was because I binged it and I've always liked Garofalo.  I didn't much like this episode. It was already tiresome and redundant.  I like Lisa/Abby for the most part, but I didn't much like her this week.  I loved how she got called out by Retta (who better show up again!) and she totally deserved it.

But I hate the friends.HATE. Hate the husband's pregnant girlfriend story. At this point it's not offensively bad, but it was really weak which is never a good sign for a season premiere.

I'm wondering how long it will take the lawyer and the rich guy to realize that their wedding and marriage should not and will not happen. She should never have said yes. She's a divorce lawyer. She should be able to spot this tragedy from a mile away.

Well, if there's anything last season teaches us, it's that sometimes your man needs to blow up your life and publicly humiliate you out of your job to teach you a lesson about valuing your career when they want your full attention. At least, unlike Abby's and Janeane Garafalo's, this one works.

I swear, this show is like House's last revenge, although unlike Cuddy, Abby would have convinced herself it was her fault he drove a car into her dining room and had sex with him on the hood.

I'm part of the unvocal minority who found enough to interest me in S1 that I am back for S2. I stopped coming to the forums because the hate-watching wasn't for me. I'm open to delurking if more peeps are here this round that enjoy the brain candy. It's an uneven show, yes. I still want to see what happens. :)

Delia remains my favorite character, and I hope they flesh out her storyline more, especially as I think that marriage will be a huge mistake.

Freeloading Jo pissed me off, but her daughter towering over her was rather hilarious.

I want Abby to mend the fences with her "younger" boyfriend. At the same time, were they exclusive? She can have sex with whomever she damn wants to!

Managing Editor Barbara was the best.

Right here! I marathoned on my plane ride back the people in my row started to wonder at my sighing and eye rolls.  These people are all awful except Farmer and the divorce lawyer. I actually think the divorce lawyer should I have her own show because she's interesting, complicated and I'd love to see more of her life away from these horrible people.

I dunno.  Barbara struck me as highly unprofessional, with stomping out of the meeting, and ripping Abby a new one right after.  Snotty bitch.  Sorry for your pain, Babs, but you took this job.  Conflict is important, but I feel like that should have been a drunk confession that could have popped out later in the season (or have Abby overhear it).  I am rarely in the Defend Abby Camp, but fer crissakes!  Is this your first job?

Also: Jo! Abby should have told you, but it wasn't Abby, what turned your daughter into a model Adult Child of an Addict.  I loved her in the bakery, and that's a sex act waiting to happen (her non-Vegan God), but the childish explosion at Abby -- then moving in across from Jake, Miss Stalker -- is proof that you haven't learned shit.

Phoebe's break-up actually got me teary.  Too bad they didn't let the actress do the abuse storyline, but I'm liking her much better this season.

And, Jake is also on my Much Improved list.  So, see: there's more than the lamps that I like!

I'm wondering if they are going to show us what went wrong the first time by having it go wrong the second time?  Because we hear some things in the dicussion/arguments but nothing really definitive other than hey, 17 years is a long time and marriage is hard and oh yea, the wife writes about the kids and marriage which I think would be sort of awful for the family.

I too like Jake better.  I feel for Babs, sure that's her job but she probably hasn't ever had to shepard a comeback that is (1) so personal to her and (2) really sort of ridiculous.  Not to mention Abby can be very insecure/I want you to love me all the time.

Still here, still not hate watching, interested in what comes next. (I think the key is to not take this show to seriously or look at it too hard. It still beats a lot of whats out there).

She can't learn shit. If she learns shit, it'll mean she has to come to terms with her choices. Would you want to come to terms with Jo's choices? Of course you wouldn't. No reasonable person would. And Jo's not a reasonable person, she's a noisome, toxic, self-indulgent shrew who makes scenes when her friends leave her alone at the kid's table so they can support her in the style to which she wishes to become accustomed.

If Jo ever figures out what learning shit looks like, it'll be so she can fling her shit at the people doing it, not that she's likely to have the opportunity while she's hanging out with Abby. Which is stupid, because Bravo already has a few scripted Real Housewives shows, one right there in LA.

So utterly brilliant I repost it here without comment.
