While we're posting YouTube videos, this recap made me look this up. It is hard to overstate the impact this video had on me the first time I saw it.

That version is just lovely. The SSB is a complete BITCH to sing. It is definitely NOT a particularly singer friendly song. Then we basically send people out there to sing it - frequently acapella - and expect a note perfect rendition. In terms of hit or miss it's pretty often a miss. Feliciano's version kept the general melody but kept it in his comfort zone of singing. Good on him.
