Wait, what? Steffy bought a fcuk pad for her and Bill. Married Bill. The Bill that she hadn't even had sex with yet. Okay. Way to put the cart before the stallion, Steffy. 🙂

Katie is so pitiful. Heart attacks are serious business but she's definitely used them to work the guilt angle on everybody. Everybody except Steffy apparently.

Why were Hope and Liam making out in front of Katie's hospital room in the middle of the ICU? Trash. Meanwhile, Brooke might be the very last person to be trying cast shame for going after someone else's husband. GTFOHWTBS, Brooke.

Whee, Steffy was like, girl bye. You've only got Bill on loan. He will be mine and I can wait because my heart is perfect. Katie was stunned speechless. 🤗

Yeah, after seeing this episode I'm definitely gonna need Kelly to turn out to be Bill's child. Bill probably had the original DNA test results altered to spare Katie's feelings. (Liam's too, maybe.) Bradley, if you won't give me Sally & Thomas, or make Wyatt not actually be Bill's kid, let me have Kelly Spencer!

I came back to this show right after the Steffy/$tallion almost-affair, so today was really the first time I saw them in their OG storyline. First of all, Steffy honestly was pretty cute here. $Bill actually looks even better now, he just rocks the hell outta that salt-&-pepper. But, damn, Katie, have some self-respect. I understand, I can't imagine my life with $Bill, either, but if he was cheating on me, & left my hospital bed to see his almost-mistress, for any reason, I'd be done with him, & I'd have a nice nest egg for my next husband & I to enjoy.

It is ironic all of the actors who won Emmys, acting opposite DD. It's almost like he brings out the best in his co-stars. Crazy though, but maybe he should actually be the leading man, instead of Ridge.

Bridget should be onscreen and Brooke’s main rival with the friction between them crackling and Bridget and Hope having a complex relationship as well with Bridget loving Hope but trying not to resent Hope, Hope wanting Bridget’s love and approval but resenting that she’s resented through no fault of her own, and Bridget maybe even undermining the Hope/Brooke relationship by trying to establish herself as the stable family she can count on and Brooke wanting to encourage closeness between the sisters but suspicious of Bridget’s motives.

I will admit I have never like Bridget, unpopular, I know.

But gag. Despite the Brooke's betrayal, I don't why Deacon would ever occupy an inch in Bridget's head. He was trash and not in any way the love of her life. She should be thrilled that she escaped that travesty of marriage and was able to lead a full life as accomplished doctor/fashion designer (is that still a thing with her) and loving mother.

If Bridget was truly the heroine the show pushed her to be, she would not resent baby Hope, her sister and the baby that she helped deliver.

Lingering tension with Brooke? Yes, especially after Nick who was actually more important to Bridget than Deacon could ever be.

My God. Shut up Stephanie. She went whackadoo because your middle-aged sons wanted to be with Brooke. She  drugged crazy Morgan's tea so she could lose the baby that she tricked Ridge into giving her. She also set up Brooke to be raped because once again she couldn't deal with the fact that her son had feelings for Brooke.

She doesn't get to be the morality judge on anyone Miss I got Eric drunk and passed off Massimo's kid to get a shotgun wedding and lied about it for 40 plus year.

I thought Nicole's hair looked nice. This must've been after she was also working on the Snowfall series.

Dumbass Steffy. Why did she keep those DNA test results anyway? After she read them she should've immediately fed that document to the shredder. It's almost like she wanted to get caught.

Equally dumbass Carter. Why would he try to move on Maya now? That was rather disrespectful to Maya, IMO. (And when Rick and Maya broke up, Maya still didn't want Carter, lol.)

Poor Liam. If only it had just been Wyatt Steffy cheated on him with. If only. Nah, no half measures for our girl Steffy. She went to the OG Spencer and rode that stallion like she was going for the Triple Crown.

OMG, Liam looked like Steffy had just shot him directly in the heart. That was one of the best soap opera moments EVER! And to end the episode with that moment? Brilliant.

Erica is the daughter of Sheila Carter and James Warwick.  I want to say that her birth name was Mary after James' mother, but Sheila changed it later to Erica so the girl would be named after Eric. Sheila schemed and pushed and pushed that poor girl to go after Rick.  I don't remember how everything played out, but in the very end, when Sheila was send to prison, Mary/Erica more or less disowned her.

Erica's birth name is Mary Warwick.  When she came to town, it had been changed to "Erica Lovejoy."  If they had to have a cray cray younger character, they should've brought Mary back instead of turning Sally insane.

Quote

Also, Whip was Oliver's cousin.  You'll love this. Whip's given name was Whipple. Yep. Whipple Jones. Like the cranky old guy who sold Charmin.

I want to say Whip's name was Whipple Jones III.  So there were 2 other people named "Whipple" running around on Earth.

They should bring back Jessica Forrester.  Maybe she's a lawyer or something now and she can mix it up with Bill, Liam, Wyatt, etc.

Considering Jessica was a teenager before they'd begun to age up the first crop of legacy children, , she'd  be closer in age to Brooke than any of the young'ums (who ain't exactly that young themselves anymore. Plus, I got the sense from those who watched at the time that she was the B&B equivalent to Scrappy Doo and no one missed her all that much once she was shuffled off to make way for the Rick/Amber/CJ teen scene.

The only two kids I'm even remotely interested in seeing story for are Eric III and Jack Marone and even that is only for the potential with veteran characters I give a shit about.

I don't know that exact age matters, although Jessica would not be in her 50s like Brooke, she'd be in her early 40s max.  If we went by accurate ages, Rick and Bridget should be pushing 50 since both of them are at least 18-20 years older than Hope (yet both are portrayed as only being 10-12 years older than Hope at the most --both Rick & Bridget could be Hope's parent).  Brooke actually should be in her 70s based on her children's ages and Eric should be 100 years old.  So I don't think Jessica's age would be a problem.   They could bring her back as a 39 year old lawyer, Eric learns John died and Jessica stops by LA to visit Eric. Maybe Jessica catches Bill's eye (or Wyatt) and Steffy gets jealous of yet another Forrester cousin etc.

Characters don't always have to be full time all the time.  It's ok for past characters (even the annoying ones) to pop in every once in a while.  Doesn't need to be Jessica (they would cast a new actress anyway because the original actress has taken her career in a different direction). It could be Mary Warwick. Could be James Warwick.  Could be Diana Carter-Marrone, who gets involved with a recast RJ or Jack.

We don't need anymore "new" characters.  Bring back some of the old characters from the past and write character driven stories.  That's why we are enjoying these classic episodes, especially from when the show first started.

I saw this episode when it originally aired but didn't remember a lot of the messy details. What was Ivy doing there?

Geez, Wyatt was thirsty. Why would he want Liam's immediate rebound? And how could Hope even consider marrying him then, at least before she talked to Liam. These people are so flighty:

  • "Your fiance was five minutes late to your wedding? No problem, I'll marry you right now! Here, take this legendary ring that my crazypants mommy killed some guy to get."
  • "Your fiancée, a publicly renowned virgin, broke up with you because she saw you getting a little some from me? No problem, I'll marry you right now! Gimme her engagement ring, I'll wear it."

Heh, Bill's yacht captain was tattletale. Meanwhile, I'm surprised Bill took sides with Wyatt in this situation, especially since he wasn't a fan of Hope's anyway.

Hope apparently travels with spare wedding gowns. Better safe than sorry!

Hope said Wyatt pushed her to do things she wouldn't normally do. Yeah, I bet he did. He cured her frigidity problem right quick. It would seem Wyatt brings the right tools to the job.

In his vows Wyatt said the marriage would be for the rest of their lives. Right. Apparently they use the memory span of a goldfish for measurement. Have Hope, Liam, Wyatt, and Steffy ever managed to stay married long enough to reach their first anniversary?

Ivy was a brief respite in Wyatt’s shenanigans but it wasn’t until Katie that Wyatt stopped sniffing around Liam’s women. Wyatt’s alllllways been especially eager to show Liam’s ladies that he’s the better alternative. I could be stuck in the middle of the Sahara and not be as thirsty as Liam. Sad thing is Wyatt really didn’t need to work so hard. If he had just sat there being the sympathetic ear, the woman would’ve all fallen in his lap due to Liam’s messiness. The fact he felt he had to actively undermine the relationships shows how little self-esteem he as. Quinn’s machinations didn’t help.

Re Bill’s support of Hott? Wyatt should’ve taken the clue- Hope isn’t good enough for your brother (my beloved son) but she’ll do for you, my spawn of Quinn. 😂 Bill was just happy that Hope wasn’t with the son he liked.

My annoyance at Wyatt aside and this circumstances of this wedding, it was one of the prettier elopement weddings with Hope seeming sad but hopeful for once. If they’d had the chemistry of a GH Brenda/Jax they could’ve been a solidly rootable but instead of Wyatt seeming like the mature alternative to Loam, he was a thirsty mamma’s boy who had to play games to steal his brother’s women. I’m torn between wanting to see what we assumed would’ve been a WTD story when Hope got pregnant and being glad that it didn’t further extend that triangle as it was already played out. The fact they did it against with Steffy at the center just made it worse.

Quote

Hope said Wyatt pushed her to do things she wouldn't normally do.

Wyatt pulled that same angle with Steffy when he assisted her in moving past the loss of her child to hop back on her motorcycle again which begs the question - what is it about Liam that these women felt they couldn’t be themselves and/or played it safe that they were not completely happy with him.

Relating this back to media- do we know why JMcW was presented best actor award with GH’s Maurice Bernard ? Aside from the social distancing issues, it got fans wanting a Stonny pairing 😖🤢😂

Maya was certainly a beautiful bride. I was kinda meh on the whole Maya and Rick thing though because B&B was clearly bandwagoning on the discussion wave created by Caitlyn Jenner.

Only Steffy could straight up kill somebody--her own cousin even--and try to paint herself as the victim. Ivy had Steffy's number. (And later almost got killed by Steffy too. 😑)

Wonder why Mama Avant wore pants to the wedding? She was rather dressed down IMO.

Carter looked pissed. He must've been thinking about how they cheated him out of his fee for officiating all their weddings. 🙂

Sigh, why can't we have Ivy back?

I still think it wasn’t cool to suddenly make Maya trans. If B&B wanted to step up and have a trans character then they should have hired a trans actor.

Agreed. I think I stated in this thread that the entire Maya being trans story could've been so much worse,* but they should have done this with more care than they did. And even if they had to retcon Maya as trans, they could've done more than just stick her into the background after marrying Rick.

*I highly recommend watching the documentary Disclosure about the history of trans depictions in the media. Theres...a lot in there. It helped me understand why my trans friend thought Maya marrying Rick was the best thing since sliced bread. If everyone I ever saw like me on TV ended up dead, I'd flock to soapdom too.

Yes, like AMC when they made a big production of having the first lesbian wedding on soaps. The couple broke up before they even got to the reception. Then it turned out one of the brides was technically bisexual and had cheated with her new wife's brother-in-law. (Played by our lovely TK, AKA Ridge) At least Maya and Rick stayed together for a couple of years and neither of them cheated--on screen anyway.

When B&B first started it was established that while Eric was the heart and soul of FC, it was Stephanie's father Mr. Douglas who initially backed the company financially.  Remember Eric was dating a young Beth Henderson in college when Stephanie Douglas demanded Eric marry her after he got her pregnant.  So Eric had a choice to make:  marry his true love or the woman who was pregnant with his child and a father with a shitload of money.

So Eric kept from her, throughout their personal and business relationship, that she owned Forrester Creations all along. And she didn't kick him to the curb? Why on earth did she ever speak to him again after that? That is a huge betrayal, even by soap standards.  Just catching up on these retro episodes and this was one of the most stunning so far.

Whoa, the Steffy and Bill stuff was kind of pathetic. This is not the $Bill we know now.

But I guess my bigger question is why Taylor and Ridge were so apoplectic the second time Bill and Steffy hooked up?  I mean even if they didn't do the deed the first time, they were on the verge, and Taylor and Ridge seemed relatively calm and rationale.  The second time around they both went insane!

Seeing Taylor in the much older episodes is good, because she wasn't a complete whacko then.  The latest version of Taylor is very unappealing and kind of pathetic.

It's good to know Steffy has always been a bitch.

I was on my B&B "enough with the rapes" hiatus when today's episode originally aired so it was interesting to me to see the Quinn & Eric debacle of a wedding finally.

Oh, I thought Quinn's dress was absolutely gorgeous. And Eric looked so dashing in his white dinner jacket tux.

Why did Ivy of all people show up to the sad little ceremony? Didn't she know Quinn was the one who pushed her into the river in Paris or did that not happen until some time later?

Sure hope Eric made Quinn sign an ironclad prenup. He may be in love but even he has to know she can turn psycho on a dime.

Quinn acting demure in her wedding night peignoir? Nah. Not buying it.

They were trying to make Quinn/Ivy friends for whatever reason. Ivy knew exactly what Quinn did to Liam and instead of kicking her ass to the curb was going along with her plan of being a shoulder for Liam to cry on so Wyatt could keep Steffy. Ivy pretty much became dead to me after that. Liam in the end stood up for her ass against Steffy, his playing White Knight to her and escorting her to the plane being what had him end up on the plane to get the brain injury that was the reason Quinn could do all the shit she did to him. If anything Ivy should’ve allied with Liam out of a sense of she owed him (not really, but kinda) but she, like Steffy and Hope before her, allowed Quinn to egg her on despite knowing better because it allied with her own self-interest in getting Liam back.

Yeah, no. Another pass for me on this episode. It's still too yuckily fresh in my memory how Brooke saw Hope's pregnancy as winning the lottery in the Who Gets to Have Liam? sweepstakes. And how Liam kept calling Hope's pregnancy a blessing. Nah, fool, it was just a contraception failure. AFAIC Liam was, is, and forever will be trash.

I started watching this show shortly after the Tridge marriage in 1998-99, so I missed out on her greatest hypocritical hits. Back then she seemed pretty level headed, and was even for a time the one voice of reason  telling Eric and Ridge not to meddle with Brooke and Thorne and just tell Stephanie about them.

But then after she came back, she was just so unhinged for no damn reason. Ridge never left her for Brooke--he left her because the hypocrisy of slut shaming Brooke while having her own skeleton in the closet. One that had Ridge known about, there never would have been any "perfect family" for Brooke to break up. From there, it only got worse and worse.

Whoa, there was a lot going on in that intro with Kiara Barnes' hair.

Not sure I get the attraction of a fashion show where I have to sit in a rocking canoe in what is probably stinky water.

Heh, that guy Mossimo looked to me like he'd just taken a big poop in his pants and was trying keep from taking another one.

Well, if I'd had a vote I would've gone with Ridge's designs. I liked the colors better.

Aw Thorne, if you had to beg somebody to be with you, maybe it wasn't meant to be.

OTOH, I did not care for Ridge's showstopper. Why was the model walking so weird in it? For a second I though she was going to turn around and start twerking. And she was so ridiculously overdramatic, it reminded it me of Erica Kane doing this:

Who does this refer to?

Sicket aka Ridget...when Bridget decided she was in wuv with Ridge.

Ridge!!!

Her former father - who changed her DIAPERS and whom she called Daddy for the first six years of her life!!!

Who was then relegated to her former brother.

Until it was revealed that Ridge was actually Massimo's son, so no blood relation after all. All righty then.

yIzwVZm_GnQheZURZsp5lllB7a_OdC_Ed326dtI9

Ridge wasn't so sure it was love but he was pissed at Brooke over Deacon/Hope and was therefore a-okay with locking lips with former daughter/sister Bridget a few times...just to make sure.

Bridget dubbed kissing him "the 4th of July 10 times over" and played the album for "A Man and a Woman" over and over again.

Blech.

Here's a video clip of their "let's test this out:"

Ridge's hair though...made of awesome.

Here's a clip where Eric catches them:

His expression says, at first, "Aw, look at my kids, being so supportive to one another." And then...queue the head explosion.

I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around Taylor and Stephanie participating in a baby shower for Brooke. Were they blackmailed or something?

"Whip." I still can't with that silly name. So he was willing to pretend that Brooke's baby was his. What a guy! 🙄

Why was Deacon trying to look like a pimp? Whatever, it's hard for me to imagine him with Bridget. (Was she the one who's virginity Deacon took while her family listened on speaker phone? OMG.)

Oooohhhh, so Stephanie was lowkey threatening Brooke to keep her mouth shut about the baby's paternity. Now it makes sense, I guess.🤔

Whatever happened to that Megan woman? She looked to me like she could've been a long-lost Logan.

They really had no business being this hot. Nowhere to go with it since B&B wouldn’t have the balls to put them together permanently.

In hindsight, B&B should’ve gone with a truncated version of the origins of Hope so we could’ve see the gamut of this play out-

-Deacon deflowering Bridget with everyone hearing it over the phone.

-Everyone trying to get rid of Deacon; Deacon and Brooke growing closer and the affair.

-Whip and Stephanie finding out and the arranged marriage and Whip and Brooke.

-The baby shower reveal and subsequent confrontations of Bridget, Deacon, and Brooke.

-Brooke and Bridget up at Big Bear and the birth of Hope.

-Bridget’s Independence Day and truly leaving Deacon.

The show would have had plenty of time to truncate the run if they got word they were coming back since it’d be at least two weeks before new shows would be back on air.

In any case at least we get some continuation with the episode tomorrow. It’ll be nice to see Big Bear again.

I was on sabbatical during the Breacon storyline, so I'm glad they chose this for the week. As I was watching Bridget just snap at her mom today, I realized that what is really missing from the show these days is fire/passion. I'm not talking romance or sex, I'm talking Bridget screaming in her mother's face. I honestly can't remember the last time we saw such passion, besides when I see $Bill. 😉 The characters are so blah now, a great verbal fight scene would do wonders.

On a different note, the Breacon affair was a secret for 8 months. What? How'd they keep it quiet so long?

My only quibble with today's episode is the bad staging/direction of Bridget giving killing lines to walk out on and/or saying how she couldn't stand being near Brooke, but never leaving until it was time for the show to end, LOL.  Other than that it was a riveting half hour where you understood why JF won herself not one, not two, but three Daytime Emmys.

Start to finish JF owned her scenes with KKL and I'm sorry to say kind of blew her off the screen. There was no way her Brooke was going to withstand the rage of JF's Bridget and Brooke was left flailing that Bridget just had to forgive her and was sure she would sooner or later which was just so galling of her to say.   Bridget's death stare as she told her mother the path to Deacon was free and go for it and to 'Follow her feelings' was a smooth cold knife to Brooke's belly as that is her mother's mantra and justification for a lot of the turmoil she caused in a lot of people's lives.

It was funny watching the reaction on Twitter as new fans didn't realize Hope's origins and were pretty taken aback that this is how she came to be; non-Brooke-fans felt 'vindicated' in showing the newer fans why they didn't like Brooke and how in some ways she still hasn't learned. Her only growth was instead of stealing her daughter's man, she moved on up to steal her sister's, LOL.

Personally, I think Brooke did finally evolve somewhat but you could really see that at this time in her life, she could still be very selfish and self-involved even to the detriment of her children. She wasn't really getting what a horrendously crappy thing she did to Bridget and that Brooke actually thought she was solving the problem by marrying someone else to claim her kid and raising Deacon's daughter under her nose and 'letting' Bridget possibly start her own family with him.  Bridget had every right not to believe Brooke when she said it was over and would never do it again - she had just heard Deacon lusting for Brooke 24 hours before.  Brooke's lack of self control was on display with that baby in her belly. Brooke was insistent that Bridget forgive her but she really wasn't willing to put in the work and when Bridget was ready to walk out on her, Brooke was starting to get it and was really shook. She wasn't getting away with it this time until Hope decided to shut them both up and make her appearance.

And listening to Bridget recount her issues with Brooke, I realized they had Hope say practically the same thing years later at almost the same age: that she overlooked the whispers and press about Brooke and tried to see the good mother she could be but that she made it so hard.  Brooke was less 'wild' at that point with Hope...and then the Oliver boink happened.

Today's episode really drives home that Bridget should be onscreen, should be a leading lady, and a big crux of today's B&B should be about the complicated family dynamic and drama between Bridget/Brooke/Hope and how it rises up and plays out across the show.

The next ep really should've been Hope's birth on Thursday followed by Hope confronting Deacon on Friday and her independence day.  Hopefully they'll figure out how to get that episode in on another theme week - maybe cheating husbands week, LOL.

That looked like Wyatt's Malibu beach house where Deacon was living. Hmmm. Didn't $Bill own that house or was this before he showed up?

I think the JF version of Bridget really resembles AN's version of Hope.

Good grief, Brooke. There's over and then there's over. Maybe you should've waited at least until Bridget and Deacon's divorce papers were signed before you hopped on Deacon's joystick. 😑

Wait, did Stephanie and/or Bridget deliver Hope or was Brooke having a false alarm? Wow.

I remain amazed Brooke hasn't gone after Liam or Wyatt yet. She doesn't seem to have much respect for her daughters' boundaries. (Her sisters' either, for that matter. 😕)

Malibu house became a revolving door over the years, Taylor had it at one point and I want to say Thorne and Macy as well.  Bill acquired both of Taylor's previous homes - the Malibu house and the current house he lives in - after he hit town hence why Taylor knew the 'secret' way to get in and shoot him. Taylor was at that house as late as Phoebe's death but not sure when she 'downsized'.

Bridget does indeed deliver Hope and then goes home to tell the proud papa Deacon - and to officially dump his ass. This is why they should've shown the whole damn thing through to Bridget dumping Deacon.

Given that both Deacon and Oliver never recovered from bedding Brooke (Deacon went dark, tried to kidnap baby Hope, teamed up with Macy to destroy Forrester and finally got dropped while Oliver was backburnered for Lope only to pop up briefly for the tease of Alyver before disappearing) SC and DB would no doubt say hell to the now at a Brooke pairing unless they were ready to move on and off the show.  Given that Wyatt has bedded Katie and claimed to love her and is bedding a second Logan in Flo, I'm not seeing her and Wyatt getting together. If anything Quinn would try to flay her alive. And I will give Brooke credit, she could've boinked Thomas but never did; Taylor tore up the sheets with Rick which gave Brooke a slight moral high ground for once.

Brooke and Liam...I've never seen a hint of chemistry in that way with them and can't imagine any circumstance where they'd fall into bed. But if anything would finally move Hope on from Liam it would be Brooke bedding him.

I was reminded yet again how absolutely gorgeous KKL was and how amazing she looked today in that turquoise outfit. Forget her morals or lack thereof, she was a knockout.

They should have absolutely done more things like this with yesterday's show setting up today's confrontation.  And I would love to see the fallout with Deacon as well.

Personally, I think Brooke did finally evolve somewhat but you could really see that at this time in her life, she could still be very selfish and self-involved even to the detriment of her children.

Oh yes, her reaction to Bridget asking her why she didn't have an abortion perfectly summed up the "I don't quite get it."  If she were truly ashamed and didn't want the truth to come out, having an abortion would have been a logical choice.  It's absolutely her choice that she didn't she acted like Bridget's question was a ridiculous one when it wasn't. And all the "woe is me" regarding her marriage to Whip.

I am a newer viewer so hadn't seen this storyline play out but was aware of the story as it seems to be referenced a lot here, etc.  But I was stunned to actually see these eps.

Brooke is really quite pathetic. It's impossible to see her as Bridget's mother, she seems so childlike and basically stupid. Of course, Jennifer Finnegan was a powerhouse in those scenes (I looked her up and learned that she was the first actor to win three consecutive daytime emmys, which surprised me).  But Brooke was just an awful human being. Either that, or she had mental health issues.  It was bizarre.  I know from everything I have heard that Stephanie is the worst of them all, but she seems to have been pretty correct  about Brooke in this storyline era.

Brooke being with Bill doesn't bother me too much because Katie pretty much orchestrated it the first time around, and that led to them not being able to leave it behind.  Plus, Katie!

But what Brooke did to Bridget, and her responses to her own daughter? Really just shameful.  And very soapy!

JF was amazing in those scenes. I've read about this story but not seen it. I loved seeing someone call Brooke out on her shit. Now its just people praising her and her golden child Hope 24/7.

Hope/Bridget should have had some kind of story about Hopes conception. Too bad they didn't. It would have been much more interesting than the constant Hope/Liam/Steffy merry go round.

I didn't get the sexiest woman title for Brooke. I mean sure she is pretty but I wouldn't call her a knock out.

I had forgotten that JF had won three Emmys for B&B. I feel she was more deserving then the multiple times HT has won. She had so much range and was so good in the role. Of course, it also reminds me even more that KKL has been robbed of the Emmy.

I have to give Bradley credit again. The two main episodes devoted to Zoe and Thomas' wedding were amazing, largely because he seems to have kept spoilers on lockdown. It was uncertain whether Thomas would end up married to Hope, whether Vinnie would bust him, or how he was going to get out of marrying Zoe. Meanwhile, it should have been clear to all the guests present that he didn't want to marry Zoe so why didn't somebody step in? Even Carter had to keep pushing Thomas to continue but maybe he just didn't want to miss out on his fee for officiating the ceremony, hah, hah. I know the show wanted to give Hope the big takedown moment but what a weird way to go about it, with her coming downstairs in that awful gown Thomas designed for her.

B&B really is great at keeping things locked. I remember when we all knew that Maya had a big secret, & we all assumed it was that she was Nicole's bio-mom. I was stunned when the real secret was revealed, & I had seen no spoiler, ever, about that. Kudos to B&B for keeping things under lock & key. Although, their main storyline over the past decade, Waffles waffling, isn't really necessary to keep under wraps.

Exactly! Even for all the focus given to the ToD in the 2010s, there was nothing like the viseral anger displayed here. But then, 90 percent of the stories just read like rich, entitled brats whinging over rich, entitled brat problems that I couldn't give one solid fuck about.

Ashley Jones has always been my favorite Bridget as I could not with JF and her campaigning for Sicket, seeing it as her ticket to being the leading lady of the show. As if.

Like, wow....that's pretty damn gross O_o I know Brooke ate up the portion of B&B not dedicated to Amber in those days, but damn. Who would WANT this?!

On a different note, the Breacon affair was a secret for 8 months. What? How'd they keep it quiet so long?

Good writers who knew how suspense worked.

And even then, Ridge and Eric found out a whole 6 months after Hope's birth.

I was still relatively new to B&B at the time, so this pathetic version of Brooke who was still in love with Ridge after marrying his brother and stirred up Macy the night she "died" was the only one I knew. From what I have learned since, this was a somewhat out of character moment for her, as she was viewed as a decent parent before that by everyone (except Stephanie because.... Steph)

Fans largely forgave that as a one-off that they assumed she would learn from. And then we got the Nick bullshit. 😐
