I'm trying to hang in there but I'm bored. WTF happened? This show was going so good and has IMO been completely derailed. It's becoming unwatchable.

For me, it's three things:

1. KKL came back and was thrown into a very stupid storyline. This drinking thing seems so completely out of character that I can't buy it. Acting drunk is not her best skill.

2. Steffy sucking the life out of everything. Her "I must have Liam back" schitck is so bad.

3. Linsey Godfrey's accident. I am so glad that she's recovering and returning to work very soon. I've missed Caroline.

I don't really know much about KKL personally, but I have a feeling she doesn't drink, being that her drunk act is SO bad.  I like her, and I don't want to imply that her return has made the show worse; I think it has more to do with the fact that the writers have no clue what to do with Brooke.

I don't think it's Linsey's accident either.  They shoot these shows a month in advance, right?  So her absence would affect these shows in March, not February.  No no, let's not let the writers off that easy.  This is absolutely what they planned.

Two things:

1.  KKL's "drunk" act is really quite horrible.  The actress is way too self-conscious.  She's "playing" drunk instead of actually acting.  Just like she was when she was dancing around to that stupid "Pose" song, you can tell she's embarrassed.

2.  The relationship between Eric and Ridge, despite Eric's outsize favoritism, has always been a nice point on this show.  They had a warm affectionate relationship and If Eric is now going back and rewriting history, blaming Ridge for his relationship with Stephanie, blaming Ridge for stealing Brooke and blaming Ridge for his, Eric's, own favoritism, then I'm out.  You can't blame a child for the way you treated him, dumbass.  Also, don't go after your son's exes and expect them not to have residual feelings for him.

Thank you, ByTor, for expressing what I meant much better than I did. I like KKL, too. I didn't mean to suggest that she is making the show worse (besides, she looked amazing in that electric blue pantsuit). I think this is a terrible storyline and she isn't acting to her strengths. Blame the writers?

Oh, kia112, you are so right! We mustn't let the writers off that easily.

That's exactly what it is. They haven't known what to do with Brooke for the last ten years when Taylor came back from the dead and TIIC started up that sad excuse of a rivalry again over Ridge, then Nick, then baby Jack....the latter of which could have became B&B's equivalent to Jill and Kay's relationship with Philip, but once KKL rightfully put her foot down on another go at Bricky, he was forgotten about.

Before ATWT went off its own rails, they were one of the better examples of how to move characters from the forefront of the action into sorta the wise sages for their children while still having age appropriate romance and stories. Bob and Kim were one such example, as are Tom and Margo.

I'd go as far to say no one's known what to do with any of these characters over the past decade. Rick's formative teen and early 20s are largely forgotten, Bridget is MIA when she could've played mediator in this current round of Rick N. Sane, and I'm still boggled as to how Hope's story that should've written itself got completely FUBARed. RJ? Who the hell is he?

About the only halfway decent thing in the last five years is leaving aside the borderline incest than began with Ridge's paternity reveal and the Ridget mess. Not that I want to see two brother or two sisters going after the same guy, but that's an order of magnitude less gross than Rick dating girls that he once babysat along his own son and knew as his nieces.

I'm still relieved about the show never touching on Nick and Hope.

Sooo, Rick is back to being the hazing frat boy he so obviously revels in being. Cut the shit and let Aly do her shoe line. This is the first we've ever heard of such on this show, so why not? Although I will say some of the shoes Aly displayed were nothing short of "basic".

Aly, please please please grow a backbone. Rick needed a swift smack with one of your shoes after the way he was treating you. At least Maya had the decency to be embarrassed by his Napoleonic antics -- until he threw some compliments her way and then she just sat there, preening.

Rick is a massive scumbag. Maya seems to be embarrassed but not enough to actually stop him. Why did Ally put up with that? She doesn't need that.

And it's going to get worse according to spoilers. Hopefully someone will come to her rescue. Darla's cloud head needs to pop up and tell her to stand up for herself. This is awful!

Aly needs to grow up and tell those assholes that she is not their slave. She also needs to tell Eric about that treatment. Not that the senile fool would do anything about it.

Hooray for Liam for doing the right thing.

Also, I cannot wait until someone kicks Rick and Maya out of that house. Let them go do that shit at Brooke's.

Eric won't do it, he'd probably rub their feet too. Eric's just as pathetic.

Stephanie's rolling in her grave.

Aly should design a line of shoes to fit squarely in Rick's ass. All Forrester employees could be gifted a pair.

So Rick's nice act lasted all of...a day? It could have been interesting to see him take a more sly approach while inflicting his creepy kindness on everyone. Oh well, I'd hate to see something interesting on my screen between 1:30 and 2 pm.

I know! What the hell? I was all about this show for a while there and now? ZZZZzzzzzz.

KKL is terrible at playing drunk. I mean awful. HTy was better at it. When you can't act better than HTy, there is a problem. I hope they end this ridiculous story soon.

I bet that Maya whispers CEO in his ear as foreplay before they make love. For Rick, that works better than Viagra. Rick not only does he have Ally make him a martini but than he has the nerve to complain about it. At least Maya won some points for being a little embarised about the foot rub.

Finally Liam is growing up in realizing Ivy has "the smallest piece of baggage".

I feel bad for Aly and I'm trying to figure out why Rick is treating her like he is. I guess she's an easy target for the little man. Hopefully, Aly will grow a pair and freak out on Dick & Maya.

I have to admit that I'm over seeing so many mean people on the shows. (B&B isn't the only one doing this.) Rick is such a bully and so much for him realizing that maybe he did need to change some things about the way he "CEO's" at Forrester. Well, clearly that was only for Daddy's benefit & to cover his a** . When Eric basically approved of everything he did it was right back to the same behavior. I know he will eventually get brought down because that's the way soaps work, but it seems to me that there is a lot better storytelling than this crap they just move from one pile to another.

Repeat repeat repeat...they don't even bother to rinse anymore. Arghhh!!!

I won't even start on drunk Brookie. Just so bad...story & acting.

Have to say I do enjoy Quinn & Deacon....potential there....fingers crossed they don't mess it up. Ha!

So does this mean that the takeover plan is dead in the water? That's sure the way it seems given what Liam said to Ivy at the end of the show. While Liam's attentions were honorable, the whole idea was a bad one from the get-go. Liam knows as much about running a fashion house as Brooke does about being a respectable drunk. Gotta love the career paths on this show. Liam went from "Geek on Call" to $Bill's apprentice to president of a publishing conglomerate. Brooke made the quantum leap from hospital lab technician to CEO of Forrester Creations. Go figure.

Liam sure paints one helluva misleading picture. By the way he was schmoozing Steffy, I was lead along as well, thinking he was going to tell her that Ivy's history. Does he not know how to be direct with anybody? No wonder he was always caught up in the ToDs. During that scene, I was pointing at the TV and going, "but...but...but... THIS!" Summed it up right there. LIAM IS A SPINELESS WUSS. Waffling douchenozzle...whatever you want to call him. Funny that he has no problem turning on the "go pound sand you crazy bitch" to Quinn. That's what he needed to say to Steffy today -- loud and clear -- can you say delusional?

So are we supposed to assume that Steffy is going to go back to Paris (finally) and lick her wounds and wait? SMH.

I sorta liked that shoe Aly whipped out of her bag. I like flamboyant shoes with a plain outfit (even though I can't wear then anymore.) I believe I would have shoved that heel between Ricky's eyes the first time he demanded the Maya foot massage.

Is it just me or are Ivy and Liam snooze-ville? They have zero chemistry. I daresay that the have Ivy be solo, or even with an off-camera relationship, but look what happened to Brooke without a man...

I'd been watching some of the old episodes before YT blocked them all and I think TPTB need to bring Rocco back! LOL!! I want for him to come back as some kind of nouveau riche (tacky) dude who runs a string of successful nightclubs and tries to start things back up -- for real this time -- with Katie! He can also partner with Deacon.

Lord I hope Steffy is actually gone.  Go cha cha cha your ass on back to Paris, honey.

I see Ivy got herself a low flow shower head.

Unless if TIIC have completely rewritten Aly as an obsequious doormat, she has a deep pool of family resentment, insecure crazy to draw from. Rick and Maya should tread lightly with her.

Aly retreated from her complaints about Rick's treatment, folding like a cheap lawn chair when he said he would consider her shoe line during the Big Confrontation. Aly is so eager to get a 'go ahead,' she'll massage Maya's feet because Rick demands it. I can understand why Rick would turn his nose up at her designs; they don't seem to be congruent with any of the recent FC fashions. She isn't designing in concert with Ridge and Caroline's work or as an addition to Ivy's accessories.

Incidentally, why can't Aly and Ivy live at Thorne and Darla's old home? Aly still has that Little Girl pink bedroom with the dollhouse and other adolescent Hope Logan flotsam. They don't have to put up with Rick and Maya's tubby time if they don't want to.

Oh, Steffy ... Don't let the screen door hit ya', where the good Lord split ya'.

Really? Thorne at the Paris office was permanent?  That's an unnecessary waste of a Forester son.

From Maya's reaction to Eric giving Rick his "full support" and making sure that Rick really meant his apology, I assumed that Maya was ride or die for Rick to such extremes because everyone else was being so "disrespectful" and not giving "my man" all of the support that he "deserved."  But now Rick is pulling the same crap even though everyone agreed to hit the reset button.  Before she saw his behavior as a means to and end, but now that the end has been achieved, it's overkill.

I could see that, and I could see Greyson McCouch in the role.

What did happen to the character, though? The actor was one of the worst in the show's history, but the character himself had a manic energy to him and a drive, so I hope he got a good break on the way out.

So could Rick and Maya, now that you mention it!

Why aren't they in the bathtub apartment, anyway? Rick bought it for Maya, and she lived there for, what, two days?

Are they trying to make Maya more sympathetic now, with her discomfort at Rick's continuing bullying?  She was completely complicit when she and Rick were "mean-girling" Aly and Ivy before but now the writers have decided to backtrack on that with her?

This is like when Quinn and Wyatt were both fully engaged in one-upping Liam so Wyatt could win Hope's affections.  Then, on a dime, we were supposed to believe Wyatt had been covering for his mother's lunacy since he was a child, and, really, he was just a "victim" of his mommy's machinations.

Didn't buy it then, don't buy it now.

It was easy for me because these two things aren't mutually exclusive, it's entirely plausible that Wyatt did cover up Mommy's cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs behavior when he was a lad and then when her nuttiness became beneficial, they engaged in their campaign against Liam.  Do I feel for him because his mom is Quinn?  Absolutely.  Does that absolve him of all his shitty actions?  Absolutely not.

Why does someone as wealthy as Ridge live in such a tiny place? "Artist's loft" sounds sexy and all but that's basically studio apartment. And does Caroline live there too or is she still at Liam's?

Where the F does unemployed, ex-con Deacon get the money for a diamond ring. Even a cubic zirconian would be out of his price range!

Isn't he basically a gigolo? Maybe Quinn was paying him well before she lost her FC gig and he had some money saved up. I guess she must have given him a car too.

I'm really glad that Liam finally explained today what makes Steffy tick. Didn't it boil down to "thick as a brick?" I mean, that's what my take was on (paraphrasing) that is takes a while for her to get it, but when she does, she's good with it. Be patient with her. I guess it's also a nice way to whitewash petulant and entitled. Glad to see her finally leave.

Does that also explain his waffling?

Maybe when Deacon was rummaging around in Quinn's dungeon, he found one of her old projects that she didn't like or couldn't sell. She just doesn't remember it.

Seeing TK, LG and JMW together today just made the age gap between Caroline and Ridge more glaring. I think in contrast, it wasn't so obvious with STILL because Steffy looks a good 10 years older than Caroline.

It kind of looks like the sides are being laid for Brooke/Deacon/Quinn.  That's really pathetic. Fighting over Ridge and Liam were bad enough...

Man what a drag this show has become. I just got caught up on almost two weeks worth and lawdy was it painful.  It's like we were building up to something with all of this with Rick/Maya and then Eric comes, says welksi...numbers are good son *Pat-Pat* and now we're back to watching little Napoleon and his chihuahua tormenting Aly again.  Seriously?  This is all Brad's got for these two characters?   Maya and Rick are gonna need more, because for me as just a couple they are about as exciting as two slugs mating.   I don't find them sexy or enjoyable together and as a stand alone character Maya is weak. What exactly is her purpose other than to expose her toothy grin and gush over Rick?  #FFWD

I'm glad Steffy has left the building.  I think this last trip in has sealed that her character really isn't needed.  She was pathetic and painful to watch and listen to.  I don't get why she is so hung up on Liam.   I'll never believe that Paris doesn't have much more exciting and stylish men who could give a girl like Steffy a good time and sweep her off her feet.  Liam is no big prize and in fact Ivy could do better.   Boy is she gorgeous or what?  When the camera zooms in on her I am struck by her old hollywood Elizabeth Taylor glamour and beauty.  Steffy is no match in the looks department for sure.

The most exciting things for me in all the episodes were Brooke making a jack ass of herself at Bill and Katie's wedding and then Quinn knocking the pathetic drunk on her ass.  I could watch Quinn slap Brooke around for hours on end.     Quinn and Deacon give me life and they need to give these two a solid presence on this show.    I'm over Brooke and her pathetic nonsense.  She needs to get some therapy, a box of estroven and stay the fuck out of Katie/Caroline and Quinn's way.  I love KKL, but Brooke is just not worth my 30 minutes.  If Deacon leaves Quinn for Brooke he's an idiot and deserves to have Quinn kill him.

I'd love to see more of Aly and Oliver too.  I feel like they need more air time as a couple.   Brad is wasting these two great characters.  I'm also on board with Ally unleashing some cray cray on Rick.  That boy doesn't know who he's messing with.

I need way more Ridge/Caroline.  I still love them and still get the feels when I see them together!

I have almost 3 now.  Can't decide whether or not to just delete them all or maybe see how many I can FF through this weekend. I've been lurking here, waiting for something to help me make my decision.  Deacon and Quinn might tempt me except that I really can't stand Brooke.  She was boring before she went to Milan - what little I saw after she came back made me wish she had stayed there.
