Ohwell 42.1k February 10, 2020 I'm black and I don't even like rap/hip hop but I do love Eminem. I never told any of my friends for fear of being shunned. 😅 4 12 1 Share this post Link to post

There were a couple older people really getting into it with the one lady head bobbing so hard her hair was flying. Who were they? I'm going to feel stupid if they were people I should really recognize considering my age. 6 Share this post Link to post

thuganomics85 25.3k February 10, 2020 Salma: "I can say I held on Oscar now!" Sexy! Granted, anything with those two would probably be sexy. Ford v Ferrari over 1917? Interesting... 10 Share this post Link to post

thuganomics85 25.3k February 10, 2020 While I'm not sure if James Mangold should have been nominated, I do think he is one of those directors whose film are always good (Ford v Ferrari, Logan, 3:10 to Yuma), and I do appreciate that he seems to know how to make a crowd-pleaser. 1917 finally gets on the board. 2 Share this post Link to post
tennisgurl 89.1k February 10, 2020 I always like seeing the middle of the show awards. They might not be as glamorous as the acting/directing categories, but these are the people that makes movies happen. Sound editing is the kind of thing you might not notice...until you see a movie doing it poorly and you realize how important it is. 20 Share this post Link to post

scarynikki12 24.3k February 10, 2020 1917 for sound mixing makes sense. 4 Share this post Link to post
FoundTime 853 February 10, 2020 Very unusual for two different films to win sound editing and sound mixing, since most Academy members don't understand the difference and usually vote for the same film in both categories. 5 Share this post Link to post
kittykat 2.6k February 10, 2020 Tosses ballot in air. I GOT THE SOUND WINNERS MIXED UP! I figured all the vroom vrooms would get mixing while silence silence boom BOOM silence would get editing. Best ballot mixing goes to mehhhhh!!! Edited February 10, 2020 by kittykat 13 Share this post Link to post
Browncoat 24.7k February 10, 2020 I haven't seen 1917 yet -- I will soon, though. Good for it! I thought Ford vs. Ferrari was a bit too long, but otherwise surprisingly enjoyed it. 1 Share this post Link to post

Frost 5.8k February 10, 2020 The awards really are being spread around this year. Nothing is running the board. And how on earth are they keeping the speeches short? I don't think anyone has gone on and on about their agent, their manager, their PR person, their dog walker, hair stylist, etc. Very refreshing! 4 Share this post Link to post
quickjessie 2.2k February 10, 2020 I am THRILLED they got Em to perform. Loved that song then and now. On my favorites Spotify list. And by the way, I'm 70 and white, lol. I've considered that kid the Shakespeare of his day and I still do. 23 Share this post Link to post

The acting awards are fun cause we know who they are but these categories are the people who help them look good so I’m glad they get their moment. 8 Share this post Link to post
