So despite the fact that a Jon Stewart appearance on Monday's LSSC has been widely reported in the press, my contact at "Late Show" sent out the following guest listings for next week:
Monday, July 18                  Zoe Saldana; Jennifer Saunders; Author Ron Suskind (n- LIVE broadcast ET/delayed PT)
Tuesday, July 19                 Keegan-Michael Key; Kathryn Hahn; musical performance by NAF (n- LIVE broadcast ET/delayed PT)
Wednesday, July 20            Tony Goldwyn; Mark Cuban; Lewis Black; stand-up comedy performance by Cory Kahaney; Wyclef Jean sitting in with Jon Batiste and Stay Human (n- LIVE broadcast ET/delayed PT)
Thursday, July 21               Senator Elizabeth Warren; Billy Eichner; musical performance by case/lang/veirs (n- LIVE broadcast ET/delayed PT)

I emailed and asked if I could list Jon as a guest on Monday's program, and she said no, "the guest lineup for Monday’s show is as it’s listed below." So I don't know if the Jon thing was a rumor or what. If I hear anything further I will post an update.

Stephen was asked about Jon appearing on a CBS This Morning interview yesterday and he kind of implied that Jon *might* show up so it sounds like they may be planning a surprise of some sort.

I think the Bruce Springsteen episode has the potential to be great -- he's been very open about his struggles with depression (discussed in his upcoming memoir) and am hoping Stephen will have read the book and be ready to have a wide-ranging discussion. Plus, Jon Stewart will HAVE to be there, right?! Is it too much to hope for a Jon cameo that night?

Wow, that's a LOT of white guys.

True, though oddly enough, "Joseph" is a band consisting of three women.

Morgan Spurlock will presumably be promoting his new Discovery documentary "Rats." I'm not even sure if I can watch a CLIP of that, much less the whole thing.

Well, this is... odd. I just got this update from CBS. It doesn't say if this will be a full segment, a pre-taped bit, or (God forbid) a sit-down together with Papa Bear.

The fact that the show got Brad Pitt, someone who almost NEVER does talk shows interviews (pre taped sketches on Fallon and SNL at best) especially in front of a live audience, says a lot about the pull it manages to now have.
