Athena September 29, 2015 Share September 29, 2015 Together on Graham's sofa are Hollywood legend Meryl Streep and Oscar-nominated British actress Carey Mulligan, co-starring in new British drama Suffragette, and Academy Award winner Nicole Kidman, currently winning rave reviews on the West End stage in Photograph 51. attica September 29, 2015 Share September 29, 2015 I though Carey was too close to partum to do chat shows. Good for her! Link to comment
Quof September 29, 2015 Share September 29, 2015 Meryl is a live wire on chat shows (loved her last appearance on GN), whereas Kidman is a big dull dud. Should be an interesting contrast. I'm getting tired of BBC Canada replaying the same episodes from 2013 over and over. When do we get new ones? Link to comment
HelenBaby September 30, 2015 Share September 30, 2015 It's starting up again this Saturday on BBCAmerica. Link to comment
dubbel zout October 3, 2015 Share October 3, 2015 According to my cable guide, it's a rerun of the compilation episode. Link to comment
Kromm October 10, 2015 Share October 10, 2015 Nigella Lawson is a fourth guest on this (so the title perhaps should be tweaked). 1 Link to comment
peeayebee October 10, 2015 Share October 10, 2015 Did anyone watch? I thought it was a fun show. I was a bit worried about Nigella Lawson, but she was fine. Watching the clip from her TV show, I suddenly thought she looked like Kate Winslet. Loved when Meryl said that Nicole had stolen her nose (for The Hours). I also loved the elephant story... Well, I loved that Nicole was named after it, and I loved the photo. The email from the zoo was sad. The Red Chair stories were good. Loved the first woman. Woman: I'm a professional driver. Graham: Of a ...? Woman: Vehicle. Her seatbelt story was pretty good too. Link to comment
MissLucas October 11, 2015 Share October 11, 2015 It was fun but a tad too civil and polite. I expect a bit more outrageous stuff from the show. The elephant story was great but boy do I wish Nicole had heeded Graham's warning about the red chair story with the cat. "You wanted to hear this!" Link to comment
peeayebee October 11, 2015 Share October 11, 2015 Oh well, I wanted to hear it too. I thought it would have been better. Link to comment
MissLucas October 11, 2015 Share October 11, 2015 Norton's instincts are well-honed by now - he had a pretty good idea how it would end before he pulled the trigger, he! The other stories were good though. Link to comment
attica July 22, 2016 Share July 22, 2016 Hey! It finally aired in the US! Missing some stuff (of course), like this clip and this clip. I was really fascinated by Meryl's blouse and it's oversized corset lacing. Nicole was livelier than I usually find her, and who doesn't love Nigella? But I think the couch could've used a comic. The dead elephant stuff is so great its a crying shame to leave it out! 1 Link to comment
Mumbles July 23, 2016 Share July 23, 2016 Quote Nicole was livelier than I usually find her She is usually DEADLY on these kinds of shows - I think she's a shy person - but agree, she was a little more engaged than usual. Graham is so down-to-earth, plus I always find Meryl to be a gracious co-guest when she's on this show, who puts people at ease. 1 Link to comment
