Just saw that tonight's guests along with Kevin Smith are Jessica Chobot and Matt Mira.

So I guess when they can't get actual comedians as guests, they are just grabbing Nerdist Industries employees out of the hallways now to fill out the show.

Plus, I can not stand Jessica Chobot -- they couldn't find anyone else to sub in ?

Matt does standup though not as much anymore because he is too busy working on this show but he is frequently hysterical (there is also no way he didn't write the Hell's Kitchen segment on last night's show). I wouldn't be surprised if they wanted Scott Mosier since both Kevin and Matt do podcasts with him on Smodcast.

Anyone know what happened with Eric Idle on the 11th?  The whole episode just seemed to vaporize and we got a totally different panel.

Here's a media article from that same day still thinking Idle (and Brian Cox and Robin Ince) were still on the show, then again that writer may not have been any better informed than us I guess: http://theinterrobang.com/comedians-late-night-tv-wednesday-march-11-eric-idle-maz-jobrani-robin-ince/

It is interesting because you can always tell when they did an interview for the podcast in the @Midnight offices because it is either Chris alone or Chris and Matt because or because Matt was too busy working on the show and Jonah during this period was busy editing his new pilot. The Nerdist is always on Chris's schedule to tape the pilot or the @midnight studios (the other studio is across town) so I just assume they decided it wasn't funny enough or they had people who were actually plugging mainstream stuff.

On Wednesday the #PointsMe winner (still unnamed) will be going up against Steve Agee and Tom Lennon. I hope the winner brings his or her A-game!

Still no info on Eric Idle & friends and their appearance going "poof"?

No, but Robin Ince turned up on the L.A.-based quiz-show podcast International Waters right around that time... and I'd venture that International Waters, as much as I personally enjoy it, is a much more obscure venue than @M, so the TV appearance must have fallen through for some reason. Ince announced that he was on his way to Australia, so I would imagine their @M gig is not gonna happen, sadly.

Yeah, there's a bigger story there we probably won't ever hear, I guess. I mean there was no announcement of the panel change at all, so it sound like it was a last minute.... change.

Themed shows: on Wednesday, both Kristen and Will are on "Last Man Alive" - I think the only other person on that show is January Jones, so it might be difficult to fill out a whole panel. And I'm curious if Funches on 4/20 is going to be part of a, well, 4/20-themed panel. (I would say Doug Benson would be on then, but I suspect he'll be busy that day... 4/20's probably his biggest stand-up show of the year!)

Does Chris D'Elia have compromising photos of someone in the @midnight booking office? Who keeps asking him back? And why?

The Sklars are back, which also sucks, but at least Rove McManus (who I like) will be there to divert attention (actually Rove McManus getting two bookings within 1 month? WEIRD--he's got no profile in the US, even if he's a big star in Australia).

5/4: Paul F. Tompkins, Grace Helbig, Janet Varney sounds like a totally crackin' show. Although I bet Helbig's show will be canceled by then, so I wonder what she'll be there to promote (due to epically abysmal ratings--probably the worst anyone's ever had for ANYTHING on E!).

Anyone want to take the over/under that panelist #3 will be Doug Benson?

No chance. As he has for the last several years, he's recording am album on 4/20 in the State of Denver.

Oh, also Tu 4/28: Alex Anfanger, Stephen Tobolowsky, Lenny Jacobson.  Because Stephen Tobolowsky is brilliant (go listen to his two podcast shows, The Tobolowsky Files and Big Problems, if you don't believe me and only know him from being the ULTIMATE Hey It's That Guy in Hollywood).

Tonight's show was originally scheduled to have Timothy Simons, Randall Park and Sam Richardson. Simons has now been replaced by Jordan Morris (of "Jordan Jesse Go" podcast fame).

Because I was curious: "Flula Borg (born March 28, 1982) is a German techno DJ, actor, and YouTube personality who is better known as DJ Flula or simply Flula (often stylized as f|u|a)."

(Also, he's in Pitch Perfect 2. He's that German guy in the commercials)

At least they tend to keep Chris D'Elia with other people I generally don't like anyway so I don't feel like I'm missing out on anything when I skip his episodes.

I can't wait for the comedy stylings of .... Ashley Tisdale.  Really ?  I imagine her stint will consist of always looking down at what someone else wrote for her.

The 6/25 show looks to be good with Koechner, Sasso and Micucci.

I know it won't happen but I would love a Aziz to round out the 8/6 panel. Maybe they can get Jason Woliner to make it still be a Human Giant Panel. Also, Jason Jones or another Daily Show person should round out the 8/3 show.

The show might be pre-empted on 8/5. My onscreen guide is showing a TDS special in the time slot.

They've now posted @M guests for that day: Rhys Darby (one of my 5 favorite @M panelists!) and Jim Jefferies. 3rd panelist is TBA.

Also, the third 8/3 guest is Al Madrigal, rounding out an ex-correspondent trio.

Turns out it's Aubrey Plaza, possibly on the theory that since she was on Parks and Recreation with Aziz, she's basically the same person.

It's because Rob and Paul are promoting their new comedy special and Aubrey is in it (as is Aziz).
