There is not much coming out of the spoiler thread itself. Mainly speculation....

I had sort of wandered into there a few days ago and spoiled myself on Monica leaving this week, though.  And next week's big 'surprise'.  Which I only mention as a 'beware' to others.

peachmangosteen, where are the promo photos for Episode six?  CBS.com is horribly laid out, and I can't find them.

LOL sorry I forgot to put the link. They're here.

Oh OK. I read elsewhere that a boot list came out from a reliable source so I figured that was being discussed there.

Agreed, caution is warrented but there are no confirmed spoilers. A lot of guess work and an unvetted list that has been accurate so far....

Oh what the hey, avoid the spoiler topic. :)

The list has not been verified

Yea, I think I'll just avoid it. I love looking at the promos/descriptions/pics and speculating based on them, but a boot list is a bit too much for me.

Although they are really spoiling a lot with the promos/descriptions/pics this season. I mean geez the description for this week's ep gives away 2 major spoilers and the promo pics

give away the new tribes entirely.

Calm down, promo department!

(I haven't looked at any of these spoiler-tagged things, so)

Someone noticed earlier that Varner voted for Peih Gee who voted for Shirin who voted for Vytas; if this tendency continues and Stephen, Jeremy, or Kimmi are voted out tonight, I for one will be greatly amused.

Oh how I hope. If anyone hears cheers and laughter after it happens just know they're coming from me.

We have the merge lobbed at us for next week. This could be misleading . . . I don't think there's been a merge with 13 players, though I could be wrong. Also, I'm not good at tracking alliances through all the tribal swaps. Whom do you think would be tossed over the top rope first? I'm thinking Andrew or Joe, but I'm probably naïve like that.

The alphas seem too obvious, but I wouldn't be surprised if it is Savage or Joe.  I felt like Andrew was pretty much writing his speech for his 'day after' video tonight.  He was left out of the loop, but if they merge, that may not matter.  Ciera may hold a grudge that she was designated the pawn for the Spencer blindside and feel Andrew isn't loyal, so orchestrate his ouster.  Stephen may realize he has the numbers and decide to go for a Joe boot, even if it costs him the next trip to tribal (but at least he can sleep at night knowing he got the better of Joey Amazing).  Kelly Wigles has gotten no air time, so unless she suddenly gets a surge next week, she's probably safe.  Actually, the only women I think might be the most vulnerable would be Kass and Abi.  Tasha will probably be fine and have the right alliance.  Kass is Kass, her chaos side came out tonight, and that could come back to bite her next week.  If they think she's going to go crazy at any time, they may want to get rid of a potential flipper.  Abi may finally annoy the bejeezus out of everybody.  There are too many votes to try and manipulate, and she won't be in the position of being the deciding vote this time.  Joe's been getting a lot of screen time over the last couple episodes about being a threat, forming alliances and making sure he has numbers.  I love my manbun, but even I know he's doomed and that people are just pretending to align with him in case he does go on an immunity run.

So my picks would be Andrew, Savage, Kass, and Abi.  Since this location is supposed to be the toughest yet (I still think others have been worse, but we'll see) I wondered if they merged early just in case there were any medevacs.  I don't know why that would matter, unless if someone got taken out it could screw up having a final 3 or something.

I can't wait to see who pulls the idol first, and who else might find one.  If they have a merge idol, I wonder how that will work hiding it at the challenge when everything is individual (unless they hide it at the RC and make it a group reward so they have to compete in teams).  We saw our first idol play last season at the merge.  I hope they are as good as last seasons.  Also makes me wonder if we will be seeing the return of the double vote this season.

You have Andrew Savage listed twice.  Who is the 4th?  :>)

I think hiding the idol at the challenge will change.  I am interested to see how they work that if not.  It could be at the the head of the path to the challenge site and a map to the location.  The holder of the clue would have to find a reason to lag behind to snag it.  Could be interesting.

Good lord, I think Andrew needs to be like Prince and drop his last name lol  I don't know why I keep doing that!  Anyway, my 4th is Stephen.

So going by alliances, we have...

Second-wave Ta Keo: Kass, Joe, Kelley Wentworth, Ciera, Keith

The "old Bayon" group that has stayed together throughout all the swaps: Jeremy, Kimmi, Stephen

Old Angkor: Abi-Maria, Savage and Tasha.  The latter two were in old Bayon, but it's hard to say if they'll see that as an option.  Abi could and probably should be a free agent since she could turn on Savage or Tasha at a moment's notice for a minor reason.

Free agents: Kelly Wiglesworth, Spencer.  I have no idea where Kelly's allegiance lies since while she's an old-school player that would theoretically stick with her original alliance, we have no idea what she's thinking due to the lack of confessionals and the fact that she's seemingly on the outside of every vote.  Spencer will go with any option that keeps him in the game, though he had some previous ties with Jeremy and Kelley.

I would guess that with the merge, everyone will be gunning for Joe the moment he loses an immunity challenge, UNLESS his Ta Keo Five group holds or if Jeremy or Savage try to keep him around for the 'alpha male shield' strategy.  Jeremy pushes too hard on this, however, and he may lose Stephen, who obviously wants Joe out as soon as possible.  I don't really have any idea how this is going to play out next week, so yeah, I'm very much digging all the tribe swaps and seeming lack of any hardcore allegiances.

If the merge will indeed happen next week based on the preview, the Takeo 5 will be on the disadvantage (Kass, Ciera, Kelley, Joe and Keith)

Kimmy, Jeremy and Stephen will be another strong group, however, they may "recruit" Tasha and Savage. Kelly is aligning with Savage, making them 6 vs 5. Abi and Spencer could be the deciding factor next week. I feel it will be another close tribal council 7-6. or 8-5

You guys, I don't get why you keep talking in terms of previous tribes. Or should I say I get it in theory, but can't remember who was in which tribe initially, unless I read it here. But otherwise it seems to me that so far previous tribe alliances don't hold this season, so why focus on these?

This is a solid point, since there have been enough tribe shakeups that previous tribal bonds may not matter all that much.  (Not to mention pre-show alliances that we might not know about.)  Still, going by the last two all-returning player seasons, veterans like the strategy of getting into an alliance and more or less sticking to it, unless you're Russell Hantz and you just randomly decide to torch Danielle one week because of REASONS~~!  Time has shown us that getting into a fairly stable alliance is a tried-and-true path to Survivor victory, so it's no surprise that the vets are all keen about it, though they're also experienced enough to know when to try and shuffle the alliance boot order if it benefits them.

It's fair to assume that Jeremy/Kimmi/Stephen are probably pretty solid by this point since they've been playing together the entire time.  Bringing Savage/Tasha in with them makes sense, though Savage was pretty open in his dislike of Stephen earlier in the game and Savage/Tasha would have to know they'd probably be on the bottom in that quintet.  I could see this group trying to recruit Kelley or Keith since they're perceived as "free agents," and nobody at large seems to know about this second-wave Ta Keo alliance.

I don't know if we can tell if previous tribe alliances are holding or not due to the various swaps. The merge will be where we can get and idea if any original tribe alliances will hold.

Really the only original tribe alliance is the Bayon thing since there's 9 out of 10 of them still left. But considering some of them used their first opportunity to take out a member of Bayon, it seems like Bayon as a whole is certainly not likely to all just join back up and take out the original Ta Keo members.

The pre-merge editing being so lopsided is turning out to be kind of a good thing really. We have no real idea how the original Bayon members were aligning and now there are 9 of them left so it'll make for an unpredictable and exciting merge, I think. I hope!

Not to mention the fact that it just really doesn't feel like there's any unbreakable alliances out there. Maybe Kimmi/Jeremy/Stephen, but I think Jeremy would easily drop those two if it made sense to him.

Many among the original Bayon folks are talking about staying Bayon strong so I think that original tribe connection is still there. A few of the original Bayon have looked to add original Ta Kao to their alliances.

Without knowing the original alliances on Original Bayon it is hard to know what might really be happening there. The only alliance I saw was the Alphas; Andrew, Jeremy, Joe and Tasha and Keith. I don't think of Keith and Tasha as Alphas but they were included in the alliance. Of that group, Keith and Joe are the only two I can see having formed something that looks like it could be a solid additional alliance.

I don't think Kelly Wigglesworth is is any alliance right now. I don't think Spencer is in an alliance right now.

I think that Ciera, Kass, Keith, Joe and Kelley (Ta Kao2) are an alliance. Joe was protecting Kelley on Ta Kao3. Ciera and Kass worked otgether to take out Woo and weaken Andrew.

I am not sure who Jeremy sees as his alliance. I don't think that he puts Spencer higher then anyone in Original Bayon. I think that Stephen and Kimmi are high on his list but that he sees Andrew and Joe as a part of his alliance as long as they act as shields.

I am not sure of Stephen's alliance, I don't think he includes Joe but I am not sure about the others.

I don't think that Tasha or Andrew think of Abi as an alliance members because she is too volatile. I am not sure who else they are including. Tasha was listening to Joe and Stephen but did not seem committed to either side of their conversation.

I do not see a Spencer, Kelley, Kelly and Abi alliance. Original Ta Kao is gone and not coming back. Any who continue on in the game will do so as a vote or a part of a Bayon alliance.

If I had to guess what alliance I think is gonna prove to be the most solid I think it's this one. I think Joe and Keith are actually more into this alliance than the one with Jeremy so I'm interested to see how that works out.

I think Tasha and Andrew will probably want to align back up with Jeremy. Jeremy has Kimmi and Stephen pretty solidly on his side imo, at least for now.

Kelly, Spencer, and Abi are wildcards I think. And with Kelly it's pretty much impossible to even make a guess as to what she'll do since we have literally no idea what she is doing. And with Abi you just never know what she will decide to do on any given day.

I feel like Spencer will go back to Jeremy, but it'll be interesting to see that if Andrew also goes back to him since Spencer now knows that Andrew was trying to get him out.

I see Stephen as a wildcard. I think that he would join Spencer in an alliance in a heartbeat if he thought they had numbers. Stephen knows that he is low on Jeremy's totem pole and he does not feel appreciated by his alliance. They are not willing to listen to him about getting rid of Joe and that really bothered him. And that is with Stephen having no clue that Jeremy has the idol.

Stephen is looking for an alliance where he might have some say and that will not be with Jeremy or Andrew. I think Joe and Keith are happy where they are so I can't see Stephen working with them. Stephen knows Kimmi is tied to Jeremy and will sell  him out in a heartbeat.

So Ciera, Kass, Kelley, Keith, and Joe is an alliance. Might have Abi as a vote until she flips out over someone in the group looking at her funny but who knows.

Jeremy, Andrew, Kimmi and Tasha is an alliance with Stephen as a dissatisfied member. Might have Abi as a vote because she appreciates Tasha and Andrew saving her and only voted for Woo because Woo voted for her twice.

That leaves Kelly Wig and Spencer as floaters.

I am guessing that most people know using Abi as an alliance member is doomed for failure. She might have reasons to work with either of the two alliances. Kelly Wigs is not talking game with anyone, to include Production, and might be willing to align with the hammock. Spencer has a good relationship with Jeremy and Stephen.

So I think Stephen is screwed because he is not in a good position in his alliance, won't be invited into the other alliance, and there is no real way to work with the floaters to cause issues.

It occurs to me that how Andrew responds to Abi in the wake of the Woo vote may determine how far he gets in the rest of the game.  He has two options...

1. "Hey Abi, so what happened with that Woo vote?....Well, you were pretty against him, fair play to that.  I wish you had told me first but no worries, at least we got rid of a physical threat before the merge.  Who do you think we should target next?"

If Andrew says this and shows respect to her decision, she'll still probably be on his side and they can work together with Tasha after the merge.

2. "Hey Abi, wtf?  Why'd you vote out Woo?  That was pretty stupid.  I haven't been this upset since that time I spent two hours apart from my wife, who's a model in case I forgot to mention it earlier.  Whine whine whine."

He does this, and Abi will instantly write him off and probably go out of her way to target him.  She will make these feelings well known, and then the anti-Andrew faction (Kass, Ciera, probably Spencer, probably Kelley and Stephen) can recruit her and then they only need one more vote to knock Savage out of the game.

Given how Andrew's entire Survivor career is based on him reacting poorly when things don't go his way, I'm not putting much stock in Option #1

On the subject of Stephen, idols, and alliances, I wonder if he falls victim to one.  He wants Joe out badly, but no one in his alliance wants to go there yet (though once the merge happens maybe they will feel differently-except Jeremy, who wants him as a shield).  So Stephen looks elsewhere to get Joe out, gets numbers outside his alliance, but Joe wins immunity.  Perhaps they then turn the target to Jeremy, who catches wind of it and uses his idol.  Jeremy and his crew in turn vote for Stephen.  Stephen's second chance ends the way his first chance also ended, losing to the alpha male golden boys.

Of course, if Stephen wants to turn on Jeremy, he might have a tougher time convincing people to go that route.  I also question just how tight that Ta'Keo 5 alliance is.  Keith will probably go with whoever gets him the farthest, but I don't know about Kass/Ciera/Kelley.  Once the merge happens and we through the first couple of boots it might be easier to tell who really is with who.  I feel like Kelley might be the first to stab Joe in the back, after he brought her in and planned to save her if Bayon went to TC.

I like that they are doing the merge earlier this season.  For me, it is often a dull fest until we get to this point.  People are so careful and not willing to do anything big until this point.

Yea, I think the editing is definitely pointing towards Kelley being a big factor in Joe getting booted.

I'd love for them to do a merge where the tribe that is moving shows up at the other tribes camp in the middle of the night (just to scare the hell out of them-though it would ruin the merge feast and bonding, but they can make up for it on one of the rewards).

I think they did that in Guatemala.  It was awkward.  We got two scoops of Jamie's asshollity.

Thanks for posting the promo. I admit this season has me on the edge of my seat and I can't wait for next week's showdown.Do you think the edit is misleading and the real target will end up being neither one of the two? I think we will find out where Joe's real loyalties lie. I find it suspicious that in the promo video, he is bring out his 'evil side' with Ciera and Wentworth. Hmmm.

At the end of last week's episode, there was focus on Stephen making a big move.  Now here, Stephen is the main focus, going after his #1 target now that he may have the numbers to do so.  Some things stood out to me: there was a lot of talk about getting Joe out, so does that come before or after the IC?  I'm questioning why ruffle feathers before the IC, which you know he has a very good chance of winning.  I know that's the game, and you want to have a plan in place as early as possible (and hopefully a Plan B if Plan A fails to work).  But is the mad scramble because he loses and Stephen sees this as what might be his only opportunity?  Does Stephen put the target on Joe but in reality are they going to have another target in mind they won't get suspicious?  I'm curious if Joe is actually planning something with the girls or just trash talking Stephen with them.  Also, there's the clip of Jeff that intrigues me.  I'm curious if that comes before or after TC.  It could be it was a predictable vote, and Ciera goes, or Stephen because he went against the alliance.  Jeff is usually standing at the end of TC and giving a piece of advice before they head back to camp. Or is that bit of him at the start of TC, since the theme of the week is apparently 'big moves'.

According to Kass, she said if she could have convinced Joe to vote with her last week, he would have brought Keith/Spencer/Wentworth as they were going along with him.  So the question is, are they really that tightly aligned with him, or are they going along with the biggest shield out there.  Spencer may be capable of defecting and making a move if he can use it to carry him through the game.  And Wentworth if my last hope of a female actually doing something big in this game.  Kimmi and Tasha are lost causes, Abi and Ciera are outsiders.  Then there's Kelly Wigles.  But I think Wentworth is also biding her time until she can (hopefully) pull something off.

I certainly am curious what happens!  It looks obvious like it'll probably be Joe or a Stephen blindside (perhaps an ally of Stephen) but it'd be nice if it was misleading and someone totally out of the blue went home.

I don't think they're tightly aligned. I think it was a domino effect of numbers. With Joe, Ta Keo 5 (for lack of a better name) would have had the majority. Without Joe, Brolliance had the majority. Spencer/Wentworth/Keith wanted to be with the numbers rather than feel exposed or try to manipulate a move. I think Spencer/Keith/Wentworth will be happy to vote against Joe if they feel the numbers are going that way.

Next week's title:

"Witches Coven." LOL. I hope this is Kelley/Ciera/Abi branding themselves, but I have a feeling it's one of the guys calling them that.

Sounds right.  Next weeks title is not a spoiler, it is out there.  They always give that ahead of time to rally some excitement and speculation.

Here is a sneak peek for this week's RC (this is Kelly Wiglesworth's redemption challenge).

With the way the first promo played out, I'm wondering if Joe, does in fact, lose immunity (maybe he intentionally throws it because he feels safe?)

I can't imagine him feeling safe.  Well, unless the voting block that ousted Savage convinces him that they have another target.  So I guess that could happen.  Big risk though.

There are 2 reasons it's the most popular thread.

1. There is a boot list that is getting much talk across the internet.

2, It's been getting an influx of posters from Sucks who only post in that one thread and they like to post. A lot.

The spoiler thread has a lot of discussion in it. There is a boot list that is being discussed and a fair amount of the conversation is if the boot list is even right and who might be responsible for it. The same thing happens in Big Brother, most of the conversation goes on in the topic for the feeds and not in the episode discussions.

And I read that thread but it does not influence my posting and I am very careful to not let the info from there bleed over into those posts. I can't say that I have seen anyone post spoiler info in the general topics and I do think that the mods will smack that down asap

Bringing this quote from the ep thread:

After much consideration, I'm starting to realize that Jeremy's in a lot of danger this week. With Savage gone,  Joe and Stephen willing to work with the girls, I'd assume Jeremy becomes their number one target. Yea he's in the majority at the moment, but having a tree person bloc targeting could be dangerous in a situation where six votes are needed.

I hope you're right about this! Jeremy is currently running the game and I'd really like to see him bounced just because it would change the dynamics so much. But I can't see Stephen going against Jeremy. I don't see it ever happening, but it certainly won't happen before Joe is gone imo.

I hope Joe does something next ep, but I have a feeling he's going to passively play along with what Jeremy and co. decide again. And if he loses the IC then I have to assume everyone just gets rid of him since they'd be absolute fools not to.

This is Jeff's tease for the next ep:

Dalton Ross:  Looks like you guys are up to some new tricks next week by offering an advantage in the middle of a challenge. What can you tell us about what’s on tap?

Jeff Probst:  Ah, yes, that was a really fun idea that fell under the dome of "let them play." It's a big advantage. Question is: Will anybody go for it? And if they do, will it help them? Good times ahead! This season just keeps on truckin'!

Any spec of what the advantage could be? I was initially thinking just a HII clue and then someone brought up the two-vote thing from last season, but this quote is making me think it's something new.

My guess is that it is either a super idol (like Cagayan) or maybe something new, like a coup d'état (which is rumored every season anytime a new advantage is mentioned-gotta happen sometime lol)  Jeff says it gives them a huge advantage, and I just can't see it being a double vote.  Yes, an advantage, but as Dan showed us last season, not a big deal if you don't know how to use it.  And everyone might assume that is what it is, which might make them make it something completely different.  That isn't worth losing immunity over, so I would hope they'd have something better.

I don't think Stephen can or will got against Jeremy.  Even though Jeremy and crew haven't been in his plan to oust Joe, Stephen is still down in numbers.  He probably figures that he needs them to get rid of Joe, and either thinks Jeremy is easily beatable, or he'll get rid of one golden boy and everyone will be onboard to get rid of the second golden boy.  Or maybe he doesn't consider losing to Jeremy as the equivalent of JT, even though I think Jeremy is completely playing him.

I agree.  I don't point racism fingers but I wonder if part of Stephen's underestimating Jeremy's threat level (if he in fact does) is partly racial?  It just seems so odd he sees big, buff, likable, pretty Joe as the JT-level threat and seems to not notice the other JT-like guy right in front of him.

That thought crossed my mind, but also wonder if it's a maturity thing.  Not to knock Joe, but he's unmarried, childless, and I think jobless.  He's a free spirit and I don't care to repeat Probst's quote about no collars from last season, but he pretty much lived up to that.  Jeremy is older (not by much, I realize), but closer in age to Stephen, married with kids, accomplished in his profession (which is very demanding and high pressure).  So maybe Stephen relates more to Jeremy than Joe, and its the whole package of Joe that reminds him of JT.
