I was assuming she only took the opiates for headaches as needed, meaning not every day.

Now, ya'll know Leah has headaches every day. With Corey downgrading her mothering ability and Jermy being such an inconsiderate asshole because he goes to work to support her and the girlses!

Lol. I do think Leah had legitimate gripes regarding Jeremy though. Not all the work stuff but he seemed emotionally distant and just not that into her.  He was not respectful of her even during the period that both of them should have been happy and in love. I never understood why he pursued Leah only to abandon her so quickly. Leah is a piece of work but she didn't deserve for him to throw hot bacon at her face.

I think Leah is just a bottomless pit of need and Jeremy got married to someone he was infatuated with, not someone to which he should have been making a long term commitment, and he lacked the maturity to recognize the difference. I wonder if he maybe wasn't relieved to be cheated on- a guilt free way to leave the marriage. I do think he sounds ridiculous when he says, "the girl I got now ain't the girl I fell in love with" or some bullshit like that. Jeremy, Leah is still EXACTLY the girl you married- I still believe her pill addiction is a symptom of a larger problem, not the actual problem- you just didn't know her well enough to realize that when you married her. And you doubled down on your bad judgment of marrying her by trying to get her knocked up right away.

Good lord, Janelle, Nathan, and their friends going out to dinner looked like a porn convention. You know what? Scratch that. Adult entertainers have jobs and know how to use birth control. I am sorry. I was being incredibly insulting to them. Janelle, Nathan & Co just look gross and trashy all the time. So much make-up and shiny dress shirts. Looking at them makes me want to shower.

I thought he slapped her with raw bacon? Not that that is okay, but it's better than hot, greasy bacon.

Only in Teem Mom land would I have this kind of discussion. wtf???

At any rate, Germy does seem to be sort of a douche. I see his situation and Cory's very differently. Germy must have thought she was some hot piece of ass, and then knowing her ex was sort of in her life sent him into a tailspin. He wanted to lock that girl down, STAT. He has some real mental/emotional deficits to not want to run away from Leah. Cory, OTOH, was attached to her from the start, due to the pregnancy, and seemed to really want to try and do the right thing. Leah was better back then as well. Not only did Germy run away, he tried desperately to mark his territory by getting her pregnant ASAP.

He's not like Adumb levels of douchebaggery, but he's definitely not on Cory's level, IMO.

I could not agree more. If Jeremy ever complains about his lot in life, I hope someone is there to remind him it is 100% due to decisions he made, and that his poor decisions not only impacted his own life, but he is directly responsible for the upheaval in baby Addy's life as well.

These stupid kids piss me off so much- you want to chase after someone who has clearly demonstrated a lack of commitment to you and make a fool of yourself? It's your life, be my guest. Do NOT intentionally bring a child into that mess in the hopes of securing the relationship you want.

I also think that Jeremy seems like he'll be less involved as a father than Corey. Corey has not only been financially and emotionally there for the twins since the beginning, he also regularly swallows his pride and defers to Leah in order to make their relationship as amicable as possible. Like, after the drug/court debacle, he kind of groveled to her a little bit, not because he thought he was wrong, but because Leah has all the cards right now and Corey is willing to suck it up if it means improving his chances of more time with the girls. I can see Jeremy, the first time Leah is the least bit difficult regarding Addy, throwing up his hands and deciding he'd rather lose time with his daughter than try to reason with Leah or kiss her ass at all.

Honestly, while none of the kids are in enviable positions, I am the most worried for Addy. Her mother is essentially useless, I don't know how involved her father will be, her extended families will probably regularly insult the other side (Jeremy vs. Leah) right in front of her, and there will no doubt be a parade of men in and out of her life, each time dropping in caliber as Leah gets older and more desperate. Her best hope is Leah's sister providing some kind of stability for her, which may change as Victoria has her own children/marital problems. It is a really sad situation. I hope I am wrong about Jeremy.

I don't know how Germy will be with Addy. From the small amount of footage that we've seen, I actually recall a lot of hands-on behavior with him. I remember seeing him feeling Addy and fixing the girlses hair. He has gone to as many of Ali's appointments as he could. He definitely exhibited a real lack of judgment with how he got involved with Leah and brought a child into the world, but I don't know that he'll be an absentee/bad father. His working out of town a lot is probably going to mean that Leah has Adderall the majority of the time, which is scary.

The fact that they ran her labs at the standard level and it came negative legitimately surprised me. I was sure her confirmation value would be higher.

Thanks for the explanation. It's really hard for me to reconcile the results with having seen her nodding off.

While I totally agree with your first point, just wanted to clarify it was a strip of raw bacon that he slapped her with. Not that that's okay either, but it wasn't going to cause 3rd degree burns.

It wasn't cooked bacon. It was raw bacon. Big difference.  I do agree, it was so foul of him to do that to her.

I do believe he had become distant for legit reasons. Just watching Leah on this show and reading about her behavior off this show, is enough to make me want to slap her in the face with a side of pork.

Leah loves to paint herself as a victim of her husbands when in fact, all they are doing is working hard and bringing home the bacon (no pun intended) to a selfish pig (pun intended) who can't fathom why men have to work so many hours instead of being home to be with Leah.

Leah knew the kind of work Jermy did when they met. She went around social media and in interviews telling the public how much money Jermy earned. Yet, she bitches about it when he has to leave out of town for weeks on end.

In general, men cannot stand to be nagged or hear anything that sounds like nagging. Leah was nagging all the fucking time. Even I was sick of it back when she was with Cory.

Now, as for Jermy. He too can't play the victim card. He pushed for Leah to have a baby. He had to secure his piece of ass. He worried that Leah would want Cory or be with Cory. Rightfully so since Leah wanted her family back.

FWIW, if I had my druthers, slap me with cooked bacon.  Raw bacon is heavier, and cooked bacon is just YUM!  Also, we don't know if it was thick cut bacon or that thin bacon.  Makes a difference.  What a waste of bacon.

Absolutely. There's no way they could cook that piece after it came away with 5lbs of Leah's makeup attached to it.

He's such an idiot. If he had lived with her for even 12 months, I think Leah's true hosebeast nature would have come out and he could have walked away without a divorce or another kid. I think she's savvy enough to try and hide it from new boyfriends, but her neediness couldn't have been contained for a full year (also doubtful she could have remained faithful the first time Jermy was out of town and failed to call her every night and tell her how much he missed her).

And I am still scratching my head over him worrying about locking Leah down. Let's review Jeremy- Leah is vacillating between you and Corey, and to date, Leah has 1. displayed complete and utter disdain for Corey while being filmed on television, 2. cheated on him numerous times, 3. expressed great reluctance about actually marrying him, and 4. immediately filed for divorce despite being told by her lawyer that Corey had not yet filed and therefore it wasn't impossible that a reconciliation could have happened, and 5. Talked a bunch of shit about Corey after they split. All signs point to Leah NOT being at all into Corey- and yet, she can't decide between him and YOU? That is NOT flattering Jeremy. If a guy told me he couldn't decide between a date with me or an enema, that is not a sign for me to step up my game- it's a sign to run far away.

True.

Leah has 1. displayed complete and utter disdain for Corey while being filmed on television,

Not always. She professed her love for him on the reunion show while Jermy was there. This was after her miscarriage. Gross. It is almost like Jenelle becoming pregnant right after her abortion.

There were times when it appeared she was trying to sabotage Cory's relationship with Miranda which probably made Jermy wonder what was Leah's ulterior motive. Leah claimed on the reunion show that Cory had cheated on Miranda. What business is that of hers? None. But, if she was wanting Cory back, it makes it easier to get rid of her rival. Then, there was that texting that Leah and Cory were doing back and forth. Leah had confided to Cory about her problems with Jermy.

All of this going on while on camera. Can you imagine what was going on when MTV wasn't around? Deer cam sex. Jermy was a fool. Not sure what Leah did for him in the bedroom that piqued his interest.

Eww.  There was that seen a couple of seasons ago where Corey was telling his dad he kept going back to Leah because she was so "damn hot."  All I kept thinking was "that girl's got some tricks up her sleeve."  I don't know what she does, but whatever it is appears to be like crack, and these guys just can't quit it.

I can not wait to see Miranda lay into Possum Princess. As Kenny Powers said, "I'm about to fuck you up with some TRUTH!" I hope they show it. Since Teen Mom OG was renewed, I'm guessing Teen Mom 2 will be back, and they may choose to NOT paint Possum Princess like the Robbie-screwin', ratty-haired, HUGS Juice passer-outer that she is... They may predict (correctly) that the viewers are disgusted that these trash boxes keep getting MTV checks to bankroll their bad decisions. If Leah wants to be on next season, I hope Corey gets that full-custody. She and her new boyfriend, he of the obviously discerning taste in women, can snort up all their MTV money in Mama Dawn's trailer while Ali and the bad one stay with Corey and Miranda. I bet Jermy's parents would love to keep Adderall while daddy works and mama conjures 'em up another half-sister.

I think Jeremy got exactly what he wanted out of his relationship with Leah, same as Nipples wanted out of Jenelle. They are now Z list celebrities, they make some decent money and Jeremy can now get a better looking girl then he could before. I think that's all either of them ever wanted.

Speaking of better looking, after seeing Jeremy and Corey's double date picture it's obvious that both men have traded up.

I wouldn't have a problem with that if both guys hadn't encouraged their respective stepping stones to Z list fame to get pregnant.

As far as trading up- I find Leah plain at best (when she was younger without her 5 pounds of makeup), and mostly unattractive now as she ages, but evidently the guys considered her quite the hot ticket at some point. That is still baffling to me.

I have a type of rheumatoid arthritis, so always have Narcotics at hand along with truly horrific meds. I get my blood tested almost monthly to check, my liver, kidneys, heart, inflammation, etc.

I'm really saddened to see everyone going after leah about her meds. She had a scrip and that's that. I think she was nervous because she is on meds. If I had the potential to lose my son, knowing I don't take illegal drugs over overuse, I'd still be nervous! It's my kid!

Hatchetgirl I completely understand what you're saying. I've been on some heavy duty narcotics for various things in the past as well, for things including a serious muscle disease, 'shattered' leg, etc. I think my issue with Leah is she's been shown nodding off at work, nodding off while talking to her husband at dinner, and acting questionably while driving. I feel like either she's taking more than has been prescribed to her, or her doc isn't aware that it's messing with her so much. The thought of her driving when she can't even carry on an important conversation is pretty frightening to me (granted the conversation with the doctor about them injecting dye into babies' brains was last season... but still).

Or of course it could be all editing, but if she felt the need to go to rehab for it I'm thinking it's more than just editing.

You make a good point about why she might be nervous just because she's on them at all, though. I hadn't really thought about that. Wondering if she took them too close to the test etc. could be nerve-wracking.

As for the bacon I'd rather it be cooked, too. That way it might miss my cheek and land in my mouth and then I would have no choice but to eat it. Hahaha

The scene in the previews with Leah's eyes rolling back in her head definitely doesn't look like a usual dose of regular pain meds or hydro. If that's what a simple dose does she needs to get with her dr ASAP.

Long time reader, first time poster here. Sorry if this has already been explained, I didn't have time to read all the posts from the past couple days. I have chronic pain and am on high doses of pain medication. Every few months I have to give a urine sample for a drug screening panel. It measures the amount of opiates in my system, along with multiple other drugs both legal and non, to make sure I am not taking too much or taking too little (meaning selling them). It is obviously a much more extensive test than what Leah had. My guess is she was given a certain limit of drugs for which she has scripts and didn't go over the limit, surprisingly, which gave her the negative results. It's so obvious she is high as a kite in her scenes and it pisses me off she got away with it. I can't wait for the episode(s) when she gets caught in her lies.

Jenelle is truly an awful person and I wish MTV would kick her off the show like they did Farrah and show only Barb and Jace. I would be just fine never hearing about Jenelle and Nipples ever again (can't even remember his real name anymore ha ha).

Chelsea deserves props by just being the only TM2 girl to not procreate again, although she may have had some close calls she hasn't tried to purposely have another baby like the others. Plus she's a good mom and and actually has a job and a career.

Kail is such a bitch and at first I felt sorry for Javi but he knew what he was getting into and continues to put up with it so too bad for him.

There are plenty of people who legitimately need pain killers, anit-depression or anxiety meds and take them responsibly. I do not think this describes Leah. For one, last year it was meds for anxiety....now she has headaches? Strikes me as someone not able to keep her excuses straight. Also, as another poster pointed out, using them responsibly does not generally result in someone passing out while working and holding a conversation. She has had several other scenes where she seems really out of it, or really hyped up/manic. It seems like these "problems" just came out of nowhere, and if there is a doctor managing her, he's not doing a very good job.

Leah probably doctor shops. I bet she sees a different provider for each "ailment". If she's willing to pay out of pocket for the doctor visit and the pills, no one would be any the wiser. I knew a woman who would just hit up different doctors to get her meds, and she got away with it for awhile until her insurance provider got involved.

I have prescriptions for a couple of meds, and I have a cupboard filled with pain killers that I don't bother to use because they no longer help me. My opinions on Leah are not coming from someone who knows nothing about pain killers and meds. Even if people here are not informed about prescription meds, they are giving their opinions based on what is happening and what has been happening for the past three seasons:

 - Leah's eyes are rolling around

-  her nose always sounds stuffy

-  she can't speak right without slurred speech

- Cory is concerned enough about her being under the influence that he makes it a priority to bring it up in court

- she can't get her girls to school on time, too many tardies

- she can't get Ali to her therapy appointments. So much so, the therapist has threatened to cease future appointments

- she can't properly feed her children, comb their hair, or properly maintain their home

- Leah has cheated on her spouses and can't be without a guy. She overlaps with each new guy.

- Leah had a $10k tax lien put upon her; she owes back taxes

- she squandered money on Mary Kay (that may just be pure stupidity, but I think she went beyond stupidity) overall she doesn't spend her money wisely

- she has claimed depression, anxiety, migraines, allergies and other ailments

- her whole family, especially Mama Dawn, enable her behavior and coddle her

- she is on her second divorce

- she has continued to maintain some kind of relationship with Robbie

- SHE WENT TO REHAB

Leah's attorney knows about her prescriptions, that info was obviously provided to the court. There shouldn't be a reason for her to be nervous UNLESS she was ingesting something she shouldn't have been ingesting or, she was taking a lot more of her prescription meds than she should be taking. People can abuse prescription drugs, too. Sadly, the court did a simple drug test instead of one that would find out exactly how much of what she is prescribed, was in her system.

Even IF Leah is not over-using prescription meds or ingesting illegal drugs, there is definitely something wrong with her. What she is doing is not healthy for her or her girls.

Abusers like her is why after 6 major surgeries in less than 2 years and being in a wheelchair I still get treated like an addict when I get my medication.

Abusers like her have Drs under treating patients because they are afraid of getting into trouble.

Saddened because poor everyone is treating poor little Leah badly for simply taking medicine as it's been prescribed? Fuck no.

My friend broke the 3 smallest toes on her right foot and her foot was black and purple and swollen up past her ankle. She was given a boot and told to take Tylenol. She was in really bad pain for almost a month until it got better.

Another friend here in the Bay Area was on a pain contract with her Dr after a bad car accident. She moved to Nevada and the new Drs there refused to give her any of her pain medicine. Once a month she has to drive down from Nevada to see her former Dr.

This is all because of people like Leah.

What drives me nuts is that I have atypical reactions to meds like Ativan and Valium, so even though I have anxiety I can't take typical anti-anxiety meds....because they either have no effect whatsoever (like Ativan and Klonopin) or they make me totally whacked out and manic (Valium). I read an article about treating anxiety with ADD meds such as Adderall, but when I discussed it with my psych she didn't agree with me, instead she bumped up my Klonopin dose and the shit still doesn't do anything. I'd OD and die before it calmed down my anxiety. And almost all antidepressants turn me into a suicidal, self mutilating mess. I have to be very careful....I've tried so many psych drugs it's not funny. Currently Zyprexa seems to be doing the trick....Abilify was before, but I eventually developed a weird tic from taking it and had to stop...since then it was another year-long merry go round of meds. It seriously sucks. Anyway, yes. Back to the point. Assholes like Leah who doctor shop and (very obviously) abuse their meds/controlled substances make it tougher for all of us people with legit issues to get the type of care that we need. Or we don't get it at all, since doctors have to cover their asses in cases like Leah's. Everyone's afraid of creating or enabling prescription abuse.

What an excellent, well-stated post, Kazu.

She's stoned, simply put. This is not a person taking one pill for a legitimate problem.

There was a drug dealer a way back making his rounds of the tabloids, talking about how he made thousands off of Leah.

Preach!

Leah has the money (not for her taxes) for drugs. She is likely shopping different doctors. Doctors don't have the ability to know which doctor is prescribing what to Leah. People don't go to REHAB for stress. They go for addictions.

Thank you Shelby.

I knew a person that got 120 Norco and 60 Oxycontin a month. She'd abuse the meds, taking all the Norcos in about a week. She'd get by abusing the Oxys till her appointment so she didn't go into withdrawal. I saw her nod out and spill her coffee right on her computer and watched as she would nod out and drop her cigarette on the carpet. She also took plenty of valium and had all sorts of 'ailments'. It was awful watching her decline like that. (To the point I could no longer be around her) The way she would get around her drug contract and possible tests was saving her normal dose and taking just that before her appointment. Then she would do it all over again. And she fricken drives! We have plenty of people like this. The docs were prescribing so much that when things tightened down, the heroin epidemic blew up. Leah looks like she is in one hell of a mess and from what I've seen, it's no fun and probably hell.

On to Chelsea for a bit. When her mom asked her if Adam was there, Chelsea was annoyed at the question. Rightly so. Chelsea made a comment to her mom that eerily sounded just like something Farrah would say to Debra. The only difference, and big difference was, Chelsea responded very calmly to her and without any fucked up attitude.

I noticed that too! It was scary how much she sounded like Farrah.

I think the scariest thing about the Leah situation is, IMO, that she drives while obviously under the influence of those drugs. Even worse, she drives with her own kids in the car with her.

If I was Corey, I'd live in constant fear that I'd get one of two phone calls:

- there was a terrible accident and the girls were in the car

- there was a terrible accident when the girls weren't in the car but Leah is deceased & he has to tell the girls

I'm an Intervention fan, and Leah is to that point. I just watched the "Sandra" episode and the woman did what Leah did on the phone with the physical therapist- just changed conversations out of nowhere in the middle of talking to someone. And the stuff she was talking about made no sense. She also wrecked while under the influence with the kids in the car.

I do hope Leah can manage to get clean- not just for her, but for the kids. But I don't have much hope, because you're supposed to avoid relationships for the first year and we all know she can't do that...and her mother is probably convincing her that she doesn't have a problem, which doesn't help. Her mom is just a huge enabler. I really can't stand her. There comes a point where you just gotta tell your kid to get their shit together once and for all...and mean it.

I wonder- often- what their lives would have been like without TM. It's almost like, in some cases, the money has made their lives worse.

Suboxone isn't an opiate. It's actually the medication they give opiate addicts, it blocks the opiate receptors in the brain so the opiates have no effect on you.

.

(I know this is an older post, but I'm catching up.)

Just to clarify: Suboxone isn't a true opiate, but it does contain an opiod (narcotic, and in the case of Suboxone, it's basically a partly synthetic opiate. Not all opioids are synthetic).

Suboxone is actually made up of two parts: buprenorphine, which is the opiod, and Naloxone, which is an opiod antagonist. It's the Naloxone part that counters the effects of opiates/opioids.

Suboxone is used to help with withdrawals (but can also cause it if administered incorrectly), to help wean off opiates/opioids, and even for pain control. It can be abused and one can get high from it (see Amber from TM OG).

Just wanted to clarify for info purposes ;)

Thank you :) Another thing to note, if you don't already have a very high tolerance to opioids, Suboxone will make you extremely high, sometimes dangerously so.  I've heard local kids (anyone under the age of 30 is a kid to me) refer to 'Boxone Matches'. Usually the ones who haven't moved to heroin yet. They'll use suboxone to get loaded. They gather around a big bucket because it'll make you puke your guts out before the 'good' high kicks in. Sounds like fun, huh?

Wow that sounds amazing. Where do I sign up?

The more I watch this show the more I think it's less a warning against teen pregnancy and more a cautionary tale about making a baby with someone you don't want to be tied to for the rest of your life. Watching Chelsea deal with Adam, Corey deal with Leah and Jo deal with Kail is emotionally exhausting. If anything is going to show that teenage fantasies are unlikely to result in adult white picket fences Teen Mom 2 is it.

A week behind the snark. Did anyone notice Adderall taking a bite out of the styrofoam cup at the lawyers office? My kids did that, but you make them spit. We need an over-under on the number of days/weeks/months till Kail and Javi separate. Kail is a life-sucker. She sucks the joy out of everything. Cannot stand Nips and Jenelle. Chelsea was intelligent in her dealings with the lawyer. Who would have thought?

I agree on the other part I quoted. I was looking forward to seeing the crew on this show too. I wonder if it's the same crew from the other show. I wonder if this crew fights to be the crew with Chelsea. She seems like she'd be the easiest to work with. I bet they have to draw straws to see who gets stuck with Jenelle.

Your explanation for the crews absence is hilarious and probably true. I can't think of another reason they did it on the OG show.

Granimal, I love your name. It reminds me of the old Garanimals clothes. My kids loved those because it was easy for them to pick their own clothes.

Aw thanks! I'm blushing!  Granimal comes from my nickname for my cute kitty cat Graham. He's adorable and totally worthy of such a cute nickname.

Yes, I should clarify- brother takes Suboxone for opiate replacement. The intended purpose in his case is to replace hard opiate use. For some reason, I was operating under the assumption that buprenorphine was a mild opiate that blocked stronger opiates such as heroin, fentanyl, etc  A doctor who prescribes Suboxone, Adderall, and Xanax is sketchy in my book. It truly saddens me that people who need these medications for their intended purposes are having trouble, whilst idiots who abuse them are running rampant.

As many as five years back, I heard that all medical records were going to be digitized and collated in order to cut back on doctor shopping. I had assumed it had happened by now. Why hasn't it?

Cole is my favorite TM boyfriend thus far. So strange that they saw each other at a gas station, he knew who she was, and then he sent her a Facebook invite. Local celebrity I guess. Chelsea's looking great. Hopefully these two hold off on having a baby for a loooong time.

I work in a pharmacy and have seen the pharmacists catch many drug abusers by running meds on insurance and seeing the person has had hydro or oxy or even xanax filmed at another pharmacy only a few days earlier. Even Tramadol is getting bad abused.  It's sad because I see people come in who need it and can't have it.

Suboxone is one of the worst.  There is one I have seen who has been on it 4 yrs.  It isn't even supposed to be taken for that long.
