He really does. I love the braids on him. I don't like the fake afro they have him wearing lately.

He's wearing a fake afro?

I find it hard to connect a hard middle distance stare with goofy Curtis and EK's social media persona.

If I liked Mayo, I would probably like that mayo.

If Mayo had come on a nicely toasted sourdough with fresh tomatoes and yummy crisp bacon, then I'd have appreciated the mayo, but does anyone like mayo when it's just mayo?  Billy was just dressing on the show.  Except for his death, nothing in his story was worth consuming.

Yes now that they have the braids on him they make him wear a fake afro on top of the braids.

So does that mean Curtis wears a wig in real life to cover up his secret identity? I actually would believe that storyline more than the current need to go on a mission so he quick braids his hair. Even Lord Mesa's cute cartoon with the braiding machine could not get me over the hump that Curtis is simply able to quick braid his hair into those nice little braids and be on time for the mission. That is time consuming and hard. I can transcend some basic things when it comes to masked crime fighting but realistic things like hairdos needs to be realistic, explained or joked about on the show. Or at least make his braids look thrown together. They are perfectly executed every time - which is just dumb and unrealistic costuming.

I doubt he wears a fake fro in real life. Especially when he says it takes them 3hrs to do his braids. While it would make sense on the show, I doubt that carries over to real life.

Which is why if I was Curtis, I would just keep the braids all the time and wig out with a fro from time to time. Just for clarification purposes, my real life comment before had nothing to do with Echo or the actor's real life. I'm looking at Curtis's hair from a character perspective. If it takes 3hrs to braid, I see that more as a lifestyle hairdo and not a gonna hit the field & fight bad guys at the last minute - let's strap on leather & braid each others hair. Which is why for me it's the dumbest costuming choice to date in the Flarrowverse. I mean this is making the eyelashes & matching nail polish seem practical - which they were not. The Wig Fro was the first thing that maybe brought a smidgen of sense back to the choice.

As for Paul, I could see Curtis just explaining he is trying a new style with the braids, but misses his fro from time to time so that's why he wears his wigs.

I know a lot of people who wear braids all the time and accessorize with different wigs. I'm just going to cut some slack for Paul regarding the hairdos. I think it's the inevitable bruises and absences which he should have picked up on first.

Personally, I think they have kept Paul clueless for so long because they wanted that over dramatic conversation. In addition, they are either setting up a tragic superheroes lose the ones they love death for Paul or they are leaving him as a way to have MrTerrific depart from the show when Curtis chooses love over being a masked hero.

Amazon and Execs From NBC, ABC, Fox, CBS to Skip January TCA Press Tour
NOVEMBER 29, 2016 10:50am PT by Lesley Goldberg
http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/live-feed/amazon-execs-nbc-abc-fox-cbs-skip-january-tca-press-tour-951022

Quote

Amazon has opted to join Netflix as well as Starz and completely sit out the January TCA press tour. Additionally, NBC, ABC, Fox and CBS have all eliminated executive panels from their day-long sessions. Instead, insiders say, each of the Big Four networks want to focus on their midseason fare. Sources suggest that the networks will resume executive panels during the summer as they look to heavily promote their 2017-18 fall lineups.

The news comes as a recent poll of the TCA membership found that more than 60 percent of members felt it was important to have an executive panel twice a year. The bulk of the news that comes out of TCA largely stems from executive panels in which Bob Greenblatt, Channing Dungey, Gary Newman and Dana Walden, as well as Glenn Geller, are quizzed about trends, returning and new shows as well as hot topics in the industry including Peak TV, dwindling viewership and the struggle to cut through the increasingly cluttered landscape. (The CW's Mark Pedowitz as well as all the cable toppers will participate in January.)

During the summer TCA, Geller was roasted about CBS' lack of diversity during a panel in which he confessed the network needed to "do better" as part of a grueling 10-minute-long diversity discussion. ...  Given the near lack of a breakout broadcast hit and the absence of outright cancelations amid a lower ratings barometer, it's almost no surprise that execs from the Big Four networks would sit out the January tour in an effort to maintain a positive news cycle.

Many networks have voiced concerns about the rising costs and questionable value of TCA — as well as the impact on shows that take the time away from production. What was initially conceived as a way for press to have access to executives, producers and talent for both new and returning shows has evolved, given the 24/7 news cycle and digital era. Gone are the days when talent was inaccessible and rarely did press. Instead, comments from the stage can often go viral before a panel ends, given the prolific use of social media during the tour. The latter can make or break shows (and executives).

fake fro is only for the show to cover up the braids, he still has his normal fro when hes not filming.

People are talking about Curtis' day-to-day life, not EK's. So if Curtis, Paul's husband, braided his hair and then started wearing a wig that looked just like his previous hairstyle over it to do stuff like go to work, buy the groceries, and attend Christmas parties, wouldn't have Paul noticed this?

Who says he didn't? Braids don't scream automatically "I am a vigilante!"

I thought braids were just a way of differentiating Curtis from Mr. Terrific (kind of like Laurel's spider lashes and matching lipstick/nail polish as Black Canary). She wouldn't have time to put on new makeup and paint her nails while suiting up, just like Curtis wouldn't have time to braid his hair every time he went out as Mr. Terrific, but it's an aesthetic thing we're just not supposed to question - and the wig is just so that Echo doesn't have to keep having his hair braided and unbraided, which I imagine isn't very good for it and is probably time consuming. So they just have him wearing the wig so that Curtis still looks like Curtis - without Echo having to be inconvenienced as much.

I honestly don't have a horse in this race since I don't really care enough about Curtis this year to care about this. But I do understand posters who find it weird. It's not the fact that Curtis has a new hairstyle, it's that he's covering it up to appear he doesn't have it. Overall I agree with @apinknightmare, it's a visual clue that's not meant to be thought about.

Well that's the reality, but Laurel's nail polish and eyelashes are easier to ignore.  She could have been wearing the nail polish and maybe Cisco just attached automatic eye lash extensions to her mask.  The braids are too big of an ask to just swallow.  Even the eyelashes were absurd.  The wig theory at least gives me something plausible to explain the impossible visual they've given me.  And Superheroes wearing wigs to conceal their identities, even wearing them in regular life is pretty common.  So head canon accepted!

I always wondered what the rest of the team did while Laurel spent ten minutes doing her eyelashes (per KC) and then doing her nails and drying to polish.

Not only noticed it but questioned his sanity.  "Why did you go to all the trouble and expense to get your hair braided and then you wear a wig so you look just like you did before?"

Logically what you put on to be a vigilante should be on top of what you normally wear and easily taken off.  With Curtis, it's his normal life is on top of his vigilante look and which gets removed at night which is another reason it seems so strange.

Back in the day, poor Supergirl had to wear a brown wig in her daily life.  Even when she married Jimmy Olsen (while an amnesiac and thus didn't realize she was Supergirl...or had powers??), neither of them noticed (and yes, they had a wedding night and were married for months.  Technically it was one of those "imaginary stories" but that just means "does not affect official continuity"

That says a lot for Jimmy's intelligence, doesn't it?  (Not to mention his bedroom skills.)  Didn't her hair start itching because it was getting so greasy?  Or is Supergirl beyond that?

At least there is a precedent for "idiotic reasoning around a vigilante costume".

When they start producing quality episodes again, I will stop calling them out of the nonsensical & idiotic costuming choices. I question aesthetics because why not start with the obvious? Plus if I look at the other stuff too much it becomes too hard to justify why I even keep up with the show.

Stephen is hiring someone to monitor vistor posts and comments on his Facebook page. Looks like he's finally taken on board fans complaints that he's page has become messy with abuse and in fighting. He said on his Facebook that he's going to introduce said person soon. In curious if it will be another dude bro or if he's hired a woman.

He also mentioned on his Facebook that he will be filming another feature film next year.

Great news about SA hiring someone to keep an eye on his FB. I think it's a good idea.  I assumed the feature film was about Code8?
