rachel was one of the ones putting on the pressure. I like her a lot but I remember  the fact that 3 of her finalists were white got her a lot of hate online(which I dont agree with)

I don't understand it either and am now wondering if her season will even happen. I never got the feeling Chris Harrison and company were that excited about Clare (based on some interviews I saw with Harrison, in which his tone was kind of tepid). It seemed more of a stop-gap measure to me.

Regardless, it doesn't seem right to make her wait while they go forward with the the new Bachelor. But maybe they can use the time to find men who are closer to Clare's age? I'd like to see them cast men in their mid-30s and 40s.

It is Matt not Mike.  And Clare’s season is supposed to start filming in a few weeks.   No start date for Matt yet.

My understanding is that Clare's season will air in the fall on Tuesdays since this is outside of the "regular" Bachelor/ette/BIP scheduling and the Monday night slot is already taken by DWTS. Matt's season will start airing in January on Monday nights like any other Bachelor season, provided there's not a severe second wave of COVID-19 that will shut down most TV productions again.

He can update the ebook at any time he wants, and if there's ever a second print edition of his book (stranger things have happened) he can update that as well.

Well, she's build like a porn star. I suspect a history of her being used for her body explains a lot about why she is like she (apparently) is.  I never saw Chris' season, but I hope he's respectful at least.

This is all speculation on my part, I should say. I don't know squat. Her whole arc on Peter's season just made me sad.

Chris Soules lives not far from me but I never saw a resolution to his killing his neighbor. Every time the local news carried the story, it was about how it kept being postponed. Is he still on house arrest?

I wish him nothing but the worst.

Thanks @truthaboutluv. Depressing. I would have sentenced him to two years hard labor on some Cool Hand Luke chain gang, then forgot when his two years was up and left him there. Forever.

Somehow, I picture him out partying and catting around (with this new chick and without) when he should be farming the fields of the neighbor he killed. I really doubt this leopard changed his spots.

Let's be clear here, I don't like Chris Soules.  I wasn't impressed with him on TV, but my extreme dislike that turned into outright hatred evolved over time.  At first, he seemed to seek attention but always came off as an ass.  Then, he was involved in an accident where another man died.  I've never read anything that suggests that the man who died was in anyway at fault.

On the evening of April 24, 2017, at about 8 p.m., Kenneth (Kenny) Mosher was driving a tractor along a country road.  This is farming country, and it's not unusual for farmers to drive equipment on the roads to get from one farm or field to another.  Soules grew up in the area, and as he came from a farming family himself, he would have been familiar with slow going farm equipment on the roads.  Soules was driving a pickup and rear ended the tractor driven by Mosher.  Mosher was thrown free (farm equipment intended to primarily be used off road don't typically have seatbelts and airbags, etc) and both vehicles ended up in the ditch.

As other nearby residents came to the scene, Soules called 911 at 8:20.  He gave his name and the location of the accident and said he was rendering aid to the other driver (Mosher).  Soules remained on scene until rescue personnel arrived, but left before authorities arrived.  Someone in another pickup arrived and drove Soules off, leaving his truck behind.  Police found containers of alcohol in and around Soules' truck.  But instead of towing the truck, it was left alone and by the time the police showed up at Soules home the truck was there and Soules refused to come out until a court order was issued allowing the police to enter the home and take him by force if necessary.

By this time it was 1:16 a.m., almost five hours later.  Too late to charge Soules with DWI.  Chris Soules had money and a media following to help him bond out of jail, and fight the charges until he was able to plead guilty to a conditional guilty plea of leaving the scene of an accident resulting in a serious injury.  He got a suspended sentence, and paid a fine of not more than $6,250.

Keep in mind that this asshole has a documented history of reckless driving, a previous DUI, and assult, most stemming from alcohol use.  But he's complained that this latest accident has been hard for him.  Apparently a lot of people don't like him that much and he's not invited to as many celebrity events as before.  Poor baby.

Now think of the man who died on April 24, 2017.  Kenny Mosher was 66.  He had a high school sweetheart, Nancy.  He spent six years in the army, doing a tour of Vietnam, before returning home to his hometown, marrying Nancy, and starting a family.  They had two sons, while Kenny worked at a factory and worked his farm, in sight of the Soules farm.  Chris gave an interview where he said that he'd only met Kenny once, about a month before his death, but Chris said he'd grown up watching Kenny work his farm.  It was probably interesting to see a man working on nights and weekends, while Soules belonged to a family that had a lot of hired employees to do the hard stuff and they only pitched in when necessary.  

After working at the factory for 28 years, Kenny retired from the factory and devoted himself to his family and farm.  At the time of the accident, Kenny had three grandchildren that he was very close to.  One evening, he was moving a tractor along a country road and Chris Soules rear ended him, resulting in Kenny's death.  He had working lights and was in an area where farm vehicles were routinely traveling on roads while being transferred from one field or farm to another.  Although the Soules lawyers at first claimed that Kenny might have been traveling dark, it was found that he was not.  Chris Soules (or probably his family) eventually paid out $2.5 million to Kenny's family.  They would all prefer it if everyone stopped bringing up Kenny Mosher and the unfortunate incident of 2017.

And that is why Chris Soules is the worst bachelor in Bachelor history. Until another one actually kills someone (or he actually takes responsibility for what he did, and I don't mean by just paying people off) he will remain the worst. 

And I still think the reason he hid in his house for so long after leaving the scene was so the cops wouldn't be able to test him before his system was cleared.

Thank you @Zahdii for recapping The Chris Soules Murderer story for readers not familiar with it and what happened that night when a drunk Soules was driving home from some tavern. As @Mabinogia writes, Soules holed up in his house and would not answer the door when police knocked. They had to get a court order/search warrant to enter the house, which took two days, if I remember correctly. But Soules was sober by that time, of course. He hid his lying cheating murdering ass in that house until he legally was forced to go outside.

The Mosher fields adjoin the Soules farm land. BS that he didn't know Mr. Mosher. In that small town, everyone knows everyone. Maybe someone in San Francisco doesn't know his/her neighbor, but in small-town farm-land Iowa, EVERYONE knows you.

I live in the middle of farm country. I go outside and I don't see houses but I do see plenty of bean and corn and hay fields. I have to get in my car and drive a half mile to see a house. Last week I was driving to town for groceries ... 30 miles on country two-lane back roads ... and I came up on a tractor going the same way, slow-moving vehicle sign on its backside. I saw it, slowed down until I could see far enough ahead that I could pull into the other lane and pass it, giving the farmer a wave as I did so. Easy peasy. Of course, I was not drunk. But it made me think of a drunken Chris Soules.

I'm not sure there is a word strong enough to describe how much I dislike/hate/want him to die/rot in hell Chris Soules.

Good for Vanessa. Her fiance is pretty impressive (Yale graduate who works for some huge nonprofit, which is how they met) and for whatever her faults, I do believe Vanessa was genuinely looking to settle down with a husband, kids and dogs.

If Peter had been unavailable (or lost the permission slip his mother signed), do you think we would have gotten Mike Johnson? It sounds like Tyler C had already said no, and I can't think of anyone else from that season I would have been interested in.
