WendyCR72 August 27, 2015 Share August 27, 2015 Hello? <Taps mic> Is this thing on? Anyway, if anyone is lurking, both the DVD and Blu-Ray sets for the Complete Series are under $30 at Amazon! So, if you don't have this gem of a series in your collection (and why not?), now is the perfect time to buy it! Link to comment
WAnglais1 February 3, 2016 Share February 3, 2016 I love this show so much it hurts. Mrs. WAnglais1 and I didn't want to watch the third season because it would mean the show is over. When we did watch it, of course I cried like a baby when it was over. Then, five years later, I got to be Lear in King Lear. Our cast watched the last part of the last episode one night and sat there going, "Wow." I've also seen Mark McKinney posting recently about working on a prequel. I'm hoping this isn't a joke. SomeTameGazelle February 8, 2016 Share February 8, 2016 I've also seen Mark McKinney posting recently about working on a prequel. I'm hoping this isn't a joke. Mark McKinney was interviewed on q this week (promoting Superstore) and didn't mention anything about Slings and Arrows that I heard. I would really really miss the actors we have if they revived it with a prequel. It wouldn't be the same without Paul Gross, Martha Burns, Mark McKinney, Susan Coyne ... Link to comment
crowceilidh November 10, 2018 Share November 10, 2018 Yes, that was one King Lear that seemed to be more than satisfactory. I particularly liked the girls in this version and most particularly Sarah Polley as Cordelia. I love watching the outtakes from this "production" of Lear. My box set is getting worn out. SomeTameGazelle November 4, 2019 Share November 4, 2019 The prequel series has a name: The Amateurs. Article is mostly a recommendation of the original series which is available on Acorn (again?). https://www.thestar.com/amp/entertainment/television/2019/11/03/slings-arrows-is-one-of-the-best-tv-shows-you-might-never-have-heard-of.html?__twitter_impression=true Link to comment

I keep meaning to watch the show but it kept disappearing from the sites that had it streaming. I'm glad it's back. Link to comment

ahisma October 19, 2020 Share October 19, 2020 Slings & Arrows was featured on the ATX TV Festival. I believe live they played the pilot episode with commentary. The posted video skips over that to the after-episode interview by The New Yorker’s Emily Nussbaum. Bonus—since the festival was sponsored by Acorn TV, Acorn has the show and is offering a free 30 days with the code slings. 2 Link to comment
SomeTameGazelle April 24, 2023 Share April 24, 2023 How many years have passed? Paul Gross is playing King Lear at the Stratford Festival this year. https://www.stratfordfestival.ca/WhatsOn/PlaysAndEvents/Production/King-Lear 2 2 Link to comment
