mmecorday October 10, 2022 Share October 10, 2022 The commercials for McDonald's when I was growing up in the 70s/early 80s were kind of nightmarish if I recall correctly. Kind of like the Saturday morning Sid and Marty Kroft shows. Maybe the commercial for the adult happy meal is purposely strange to mimic what once was. At any rate, the commercial is annoying AF and I'm not paying an upcharge so I can have some weird-ass toy from a company I have never even heard of. It would have been a better idea to reissue the most popular toys from happy meals past. 2 1 Link to comment
CrazyInAlabama October 10, 2022 Share October 10, 2022 Cactus Plant Flea Market is a streetwear brand,. If you want creepy, look at the website for the CPFM streetwear, including the picture of the very bizarre shoes with Nike. 1 Link to comment

When McDonald's came out with the toy, I wanted one (yes, I am basically a 74-year-old 4-year-old.) So I asked my husband to see if he could get it for me. Hubs to McDonald's worker: "Do I have to buy your food to buy the toy?" Thank Dog the answer was no. I still have both the hubs and Mike.😄 1 2 Link to comment

Apparently they make weird shot like dolls with four eyes on them. They don't appeal to me at all. I'm sure they wouldn't appeal to me either if I knew what "weird shot like dolls with four eyes on them" were! 1 1 Link to comment

The glasses McDonald's did for the Flintstones movie were pretty nice, but very hard to get. People really scooped them up. They are probably collectible today. I have to admit I've never heard of Cactus Plant Flea Market. Link to comment

Gharlane November 13, 2022 Share November 13, 2022 I noticed that Taco Bell has quickly and quietly dropped their breakfast menu campaign with that scumbag from SNL. (Sorry, it's 3am and my mind + insomnia tend to lead to disturbing and/or unappetizing conclusions.) Edited November 14, 2022 by Leeds 1 Link to comment
Prevailing Wind November 13, 2022 Share November 13, 2022 Before I started using Insta-Cart, I would get a Happy Meal before I went grocery shopping. It was just enough to keep me from over-buying because I was hungry. 2 2 Link to comment
KWalkerInc November 14, 2022 Share November 14, 2022 I saw one of those Pete Davidson Taco Bell ads today. I think they have at least reduced the number of them because they are focusing more on the nacho fries ad with the young women. 4 Link to comment
Colleenna November 19, 2022 Share November 19, 2022 All I can think of when I see *most* fast food ads is "Gawd, that looks nasty." No, that's not a typo. I actually meant "nasty," not "tasty." 3 Link to comment
Gharlane November 21, 2022 Share November 21, 2022 I noticed Burger King has revived their original slogan, "Have it your way". I approve. 2 2 1 Link to comment
mmecorday December 16, 2022 Share December 16, 2022 Why does Sonic think using dumb people in its ads will draw in customers? Instead of two people talking about Sonic's food, now there's some idiot helping his child with geography homework when he really shouldn't be. 5 Link to comment
