They showed it on TNT? It's a TBS show. They were probably just giving the pilot more exposure. I enjoyed it. I liked pretty much everyone except for the JoBeth Williams character. Claire was a bit iffy for me too. No backbone with the mother in law. In particular I liked Louis,Jason and Blake the best. They had the funniest lines. I will watch again but will either dvr or watch at a later date. Tuesday's are already straining my dvr.

I saw the commercials for this and decided to watch it, since I like the actor who plays Oliver (although I don't remember his name).

Good lord it was awful and awkward. Am I supposed to like the wife's family? Because they were a bunch of d-bags and losers.

I like Oliver's family. Kelli's not so much. i don't like a single member of her family. In fact I hate the dumb one, Dani? They are all annoying and nothing is funny with them. i think that I might just start skipping her family episodes. They are truly awful and painful to try to get through.

Well Ed Begley is enough to drive anyone crazy, isn't he?

Dani might be more palatable if they had more character notes besides "super dumb" and "super sexualized".

You probably know all you need to about that family when you realize that all 3 girls' names end in the letter "i".

Begley kind of sucks, but Dreyfuss really is the MVP of this series. Everything out of his mouth is funny.

JoBeth Williams is over the top, but funny too.

Angela Kinsey, as Claire, is another bright spot. On the surface her character at first seemed as much of a dummy as the Dani character but as you watch more she gets kind of interesting.

The cast on the other side of the family (Begley's side) isn't nearly as good, although I suppose the premise of the two families does still work.

I actually like the main pairing of Kyle Howard and Kat Foster--they're both actually pretty good, although they're fairly undemanding roles given how much they play off the rest of the cast (who do the heavy comedy lifting).  They're basically the straight-people.
