Watermelon March 24, 2015 Share March 24, 2015 Anyone else notice Cynthia had no scenes, or rather her scenes were cut, during the counseling session? Nobody but Nene and Phaedra have issues with Cynthia. Since they weren't there there's no point. Also, bitch boring. 3 Link to comment

LibertarianSlut March 24, 2015 Share March 24, 2015 Kandi doesn't know where Manilla is. Put her in school with Porsha.I'm actually more...offended (think that's the word I'm going for) by Kandi's ignorance as to where Manila is located than Porsha's lack of awareness regarding the Underground Railroad. With the latter, Porsha accepted her mistake, and was totally open to receiving an accurate definition from the other women. But Kandi was just so casual about her lack of knowledge about something that one is generally expected to know before leaving high school. When Kandi was informed that Manila is in the Philippines, she not only shrugged it off, but she shrugged it off with this attitude that seemed to say, "Why should I be bothered by knowing something cultural, even if it's only the location of a major Asian capital? It doesn't help me in my day-to-day life." My area of weakness is arithmetic. If only given a split second to think, I might say that 44 + 66 = 100. But if I said it out loud, and people heard me, I'd have the decency to make some fun of myself, state that I couldn't believe how silly that was, and allow others to tease me, to an extent. In other words, I think it's much more attractive to be a "Claudia" rather than a "Kandi" about a mistake. I do think that part of the problem is that Kandi is simply provincial, especially when compared to Phaedra or Kenya. Or even Cynthia. But, increasingly, and especially in this past episode, it just seems like she's over it and doesn't feel like playing along. She was reluctant to talk to Dr. Dubious about the issue with Phaedra. Even if there isn't an issue, I feel like she would have expressed more interest in therapy in the past. Then she wouldn't star in, just filmed, the Nene kiss-up video. And called them out to their faces for being lame! I don't disagree with all of the choices Kandi's made in this episode; I just think it's interesting to see her make them. On a positive note, I thought Kandi's multicolored shirt with the lips on it that she wore to billiards with Cynthia and Peter was pretty spot on. And I enjoyed seeing her boutique again; it has some really cute clothes. Link to comment
swankie March 24, 2015 Share March 24, 2015 Frankly, I was relieved that somebody--anybody--finally said to Phaedra's face on camera what they've all been saying behind her back and in TH's. What the fuck did you really expect, Boo-boo? Out of all the smart men Phaedra could have married, why did she pick that barely literate bum with no real work ethic and an over-inflated sense of entitlement? And, I'm sorry, but she will never convince me that she thought Apollo had changed and that she had no idea of who and what he was. Nope. I sincerely think that Phaedra thought that her wealth, the endless stream of jobs she found for Apollo and the opportunity to be on a reality show would tame Apollo. She didn't consider the fact that he was an entitled dickhead when she married him. She thought that she could dangle all of these niceties in front of him and it would make him walk the straight and narrow. And I'm sure he was probably pretty charming in their courting phase because he was attracted to her wealth and prestige. The problem is, he was probably getting a whole lot of flack from his buddies about Phaedra being his meal ticket and calling all the shots and he was just plain bored, so he went back to his trifling felonious ways. Add to that the fact that Phaedra probably refused to support his excessive strip club excursions so he decided to make his own money the only way he knows how. I don't think the fact that Phaedra is a lawyer means she won't fall for the okey doke when it comes to matters of the heart. I know a lot of divorced lawyers. They have problems with their love lives just like everybody else. She gambled and lost. It's plain as that. 13 Link to comment

No one knows everything, and we're all ignorant to some extent about a particular subject, but to just Kanye-shrug about your lack of knowledge isn't a good look. Reminds me of a Chris Rock joke. "What's the capital of Zaire?" "Oh, I don't know that shit. I'm keeping it real!" "Yeah, real dumb." But that's how Kandi is, unfortunately. Anytime someone tries to tell her something, she does her patented eye-roll and shrug. I'd expect that more from Riley, not an almost 40 year old woman. 5 Link to comment
charma March 24, 2015 Share March 24, 2015 Nene really can dish it but she can't take it. She was not ganged up on, she was in the middle of what's called a round robin. He told her he would start with her first since IT WAS HER IDEA and he would hold her to the same standards and she agreed. Its when she saw she was going to have to answer to her bad treatment of everyone else and she wouldn't get to feel vindicated, the hit dog hollered and left the room. So childish and so rude. Therapy is not supposed to be feel good, its supposed to make you think, to challenge you, to move you out of your comfort zone and address deep, underlying issues causing you problems. And Kandi was the mvp of this episode. Every thing she said was right on. She nailed Nene and how the other girls suck up to her for no reason. And I truly hope she is beginning to see what a snake Phaedra is and drop her for good. Phaedra's not mad because Kandi wasn't a good friend to her, she's mad because Kandi dropped the smear campaign club they had going against Kenya. Phaedra's scarily evil and I won't even address her portion because I frankly refused to watch her screentime full of bull and caca and playing the victim. Next. Porsha wasn't owed not one apology, not one. Too much of her this episode and I hope after the reunion, we never have to see her again on tv. She brings nothing. 10 Link to comment

Ubiquitous March 24, 2015 Share March 24, 2015 Oh, and Kandi doesn't eat Candy. Go figure. Hey, she has to make room for the Chick-Fil-A! Maybe one of the problems with RHOA is that the season is too long. If the season was shorter, maybe the storylines would be better. Are you saying that last season's 274 eps was excessive? :-) 2 Link to comment

jenny2682 March 25, 2015 Share March 25, 2015 Almost died laughing over this: Apollo the thug scratched your itch the way you like, you got knocked up and to save face for your momma you got married. Maybe your clock was ticking. You should not have tried to domesticate a felon. Also, I agree about taking the children to a prison. They can talk to him on the phone for now. Plus, he probably needs a cooling off period so that he doesn't say some crazy shit to Ayden when he eventually gets to see the children, especially when he finds out he's not getting a dime. Didn't Phaedra say that the night or two before he left Apollo said some things that seriously distressed Ayden? That's exactly why I don't think he should have a damn thing to do with those kids. He was purposely using them and scaring them to get to Phae. He will use those kids as a pawn to be a thorn in her side. The way he was manipulating his own child creeps me out. He has no soul or empathy. What a fucked up situation. Phae a literal sperm donor would have been better. 2 Link to comment
ThomasAAnderson March 25, 2015 Share March 25, 2015 (edited) Kandi's no different than most Americans when it comes to anything outside our borders. I think the stat is something like only 20% of Americans have passports. If you watched Jay Leno's person on the street interviews we're just a dumb country, even about our own history and geography. I wonder if the rift between Phaedra and Kandi is Kandi's insisting Phae take the kids to jail to see Apollo. I understand Kandi has family members who've been locked up so her empathy is with Apollo and if I were Phaedra I'd be pissed she is supporting him. Apollo could have cost his children their HOME. Apollo's shenanigans could have lost Phaedra her license and her money. I think this is what Phaedra meant when she said he didn't think of his children when he pulled this mess. You're free to dislike Phaedra but she's all those boys have and despite her personality flaws she's a great mother. Claudia is boring; why is she on my TV? Cynthia is boring why is she on my TV? Kenya is smart enough to make up fake TV shows to produce to give herself a storyline. There used to be genuine friendships on this show and genuine beefs now it's just made up bs. The only reason the rest of them go after Nene is screentime. She apologized to Claudia must she give a pound of flesh as well? She's told Kenya flat she doesn't want to be her friend so why keep at her about it--you know what it is. Cynthia is a shady boots and I don't know what's really going on between them but if you've burned the friend contract then keep her name out your mouth. Well on this show all the husbands are living off their wives, sooooo... The thirst is real, but it's real for ALL of them (including Nene). No actual rich black woman moving and shaking things in the business or social world would appear on this show. Everyone on this show is thirsty to jump start their waning entertainment careers or vanity projects like weave lines or sex toys. All of them, including Kandi & Nene are dehydrated and all of them need to sit down. 9 Link to comment

She needs to give Nene props for making her relevant. Nene, as arrogant and self centered as she is, has way more relevance on this show than Claudia ever will. The fact that she, Cynthia and even Kenya are constantly going on about Nene shows that. So Claudia and Kenya are butthurt because Nene didn't air kiss them when they arrived at the function?! Really?! The horror!!! And I'm of the belief that Cynthia has a small room full of candles and Nene's pictures all over the walls where she goes in to worship daily. Let's see. If I had someone who I didn't want to have anything to do with, how many times would their name cross my lips in one day? Ummmm...how about NONE!!! Ladies, if you're so over Nene, keep her name out of your mouths. Simple as that. 3 Link to comment

lightbeam March 28, 2015 Share March 28, 2015 Dr Jeff was just on CNN, talking about depression and Andreas Lubitz, the Germanwings co-pilot. He was very convincing actually. Maybe he's not such a quack, after all? I had never seen the guy before. Nene bitched and moaned about the women not accepting her apology but how can you when she talks smack about everyone in her th, rolls her eyes, and acts like (and literally says) she is better than anyone else. How can someone respect how well she is doing if all she does is make disparaging remarks about how she's successful and rich and no one else is on her level? She is a sad sad woman, who can only knock others to feel better about herself. I really can't stand her. Hope she doesn't come back next season. 5 Link to comment
