Hmm I venture Tim's definition of porn is similar to that of a graduating senior whom I had the misfortune of being paired with on a class project at a religious college. She told me Jim Caviezel refused to participate in porn. And I was like, "do you mean simulated sex scenes? Because if you don't, you know A LOT more about his career than the rest of us."

She was 21/22 years old and just a couple of months away from getting married and literally did not know the difference between a regular old sex scene in a movie and porn, and she thought I was some sort of godless bitch for knowing what porn was. I don't even watch porn myself, but c'mon, this isn't rocket science, people! 

On another note, I laughed my ass off at poor Tim's drivel. Or should I say Jill's drivel? I get the strong impression either Tim has been tempted or Daddy Dearest was. This was prompted by more than just random stats about "claiming Christian men." BTW, Tim/Jill, I think the word you were looking for was "professing."

By that standard, I'm sure the numbers are 99.99%! My feelings about porn are complicated. I think it's fine and have even watched it. At the same time, not all porn is created equal. That much of it is quite violent and dehumanizes women is a real concern.

I believe Timothy and Nuri write their "guest posts," after being coached heavily by Jill that God is leading them to do so. Part of my job as a copy editor is recognizing different "voices" in writing styles. Everyone has a unique one. Either Jill is quite gifted at changing her normal style, or, more likely, her adult children are brainwashed robots happy to "minister" by writing little sermons like this.

Part of the building is built, and apparently has been used, as a residence. Probably a "primary" residence. The Rods aren't changing its use. There may well be practical issues with such a large family living init but I would be surprised if it were per se illegal

I'm going to maybe defend her a bit here, the EW sticker seems to be on what looked to possibly be some kind of prepared bugs or larva of some sort. While such things are much more common in some places around the world, in the US, not so much. Sure it's a very immature response, but not exactly an uncommon one.

"i would like to give a praise for the folks we have seen saved in our travels the last few months. I was personally able to lead a lady to the Lord in Botswana, Africa during our missions trip. Praise the Lord!! We have seen several folks make professions of faith in our revival services and missions conferences the last few months. Phillip and Timothy were both privileged to lead folks to Christ during our missions conference at New Testament Baptist Church this year. It is a blessing to see our children grow and be excited about serving God.

Our missions trip to Botswana, Africa was a wonderful experience and a tremendous opportunity for both Nurie and myself. Nurie’s good friend Jasmine Cady also went with us. We were able to hand out a few thousand pieces of literature while there. We gave out John and Romans as well as New Testaments. We were able to spend time out in the streets, at the Combe stops, and in the schools. We also went door to door and shared the Gospel with several folks. Pray for missionary Mike and Cindy Haley. They are doing a great work there! I would recommend visiting them in Botswana, Africa if you are interested in a missions trip for your Church. Most folks speak English and are widely open to a clear presentation of the Gospel. We were able to speak freely and had the liberty to propagate the Gospel almost anywhere we went. "

The oldest Duggar child married a Keller child, so Jill made sure her oldest child became acquainted with (and engaged to) an available Keller child. 

Middle-aged Michelle had Miracle Josie and middle-aged Jill had Miracle Janessa. 

Jinger was the "photographer" of the Duggar family, so (andKaylee) is the photographer of the Rod family.  

I'm waiting to see which Rodlet will be the "midwife," which will be the "house flipper," which will want to be a "preaching mechanic for the Lord," which will try to run for public office, and which will be the one into redecorating everything with shiplap.

I can't believe these people fly halfway around the world to harass people about God. Aren't they doing that enough stateside? And shoving fliers at people and eating local food is accomplishing what? How is that spreading any kind of gospel? AND the Shraders aren't "sacrificing" anything to live in Africa. That was their (well, John's) choice.
