War Machine survived when most of the sidekicks turned to dust. He might still be USAF while Falcon had left the service so in the post trauma move up in the ranks.

Not to mention that he is also hands down the best looking male cast member. The show is not above considering sex appeal when it comes to the decision of who goes and who stays.

I’m kinda bummed Chloe mentioned Instagram...lol! That’s where all my spoilers can from. I follow all the ladies and they were quite revealing last season on their Insta-accounts.

I wonder what the announcement is going to be? Traveling in a different timeline? Going to be affected by Thanos? Bringing back Tripp (#tripplives)? Peggy is coming to SHIELD in the future?

Clark Gregg says Agents Of SHIELD season 7 is likely the end

But with season 6 set to roll out this spring and the seventh starting to shoot, star Clark Gregg told us that a seven-year run is likely going to be it for the Marvel series.

“That's the word I've heard,” said Gregg when our US chums spoke with him recently at the press junket for Captain Marvel. “The announcement I read was, two more seasons, six and seven.”
*  *  *
Although Gregg added that he “really doesn’t know much about” season 7 just yet, he enthused that he’s “excited” for viewers to check out season 6. “I can't wait for people to see season 6,” he told us. “People who have been on the journey with me and with Phil Coulson are going to get something very, very different.”

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. recruits Lou Diamond Phillips to direct in season 6
CHANCELLOR AGARD March 28, 2019
https://ew.com/tv/2019/03/28/agents-of-shield-season-6-lou-diamond-phillips-exclusive-art/

Quote

EW can exclusively reveal that Lou Diamond Phillips will direct the fifth episode of ABC/Marvel drama’s forthcoming sixth season. This new gig reunites Phillips with his Stargate Universe co-star Ming-Na Wen, who plays fierce S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Melinda May on the series.

“I got the call when I was directing Fear of the Walking Dead down in Austin: ‘Would you direct an episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.?’ ‘Yeah, done.’ Instant answer, because of the world, because it’s Marvel. It’s big. It’s comic-book stuff. It’s action. It’s mythology. It’s science-fiction. It’s all of that rolled into one,” Phillips told EW when we visited the set in September. “And of course my old friend Ming-Na was on it. That’s crazy, that’s wonderful!”

“When they told me he was directing, I was just so happy. We had so much fun [on Stargate],” Wen told EW. “That was a very special two years for us up in Vancouver — for me, Lou, and the whole entire crew.”

At this point, not much is known about the show’s sixth season apart from the fact that Mack (Henry Simmons) is S.H.I.E.L.D.’s new director; the team is searching for Fitz (Iain De Caestecker), who is lost and frozen in space; and, most importantly, Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg) did indeed die at the end of season 5. Gregg is part of season 6 as someone who is not definitely not Coulson, but the how and why remain a mystery. In fact, that mystery deepens when you look at the exclusive new season 6 cast image below, which shows Gregg keeping his distance from the rest of the cast, including Wen’s May.
*  *  *
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will return in May on ABC. The show’s cast and producers will screen the season 6 premiere during the show’s WonderCon panel on Saturday, March 30 at 1:45 p.m.

So Elizabeth Henstridge posted that pic a couple days ago on Instagram and said she said there are so many Easter Eggs in that picture, she can’t wait for people to see the season.

From staring at it on her account, Mack definitely has Fury’s cube. Not surprising considering he’s in charge. They’re at a gambling table, and it looks like Fitz is keeping Daisy from making a gamble herself. Everyone is wearing black except Fitz. Couslson’s not st the table-also not surprising considering he’s “dead.” And either Jemma or Deke are making a haul at the table.

So, I wonder what the Easter Eggs are.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 6: Your First Look at Karolina Wydra's Galactic Mercenary and Other New Characters
By Matt Webb Mitovich / April 30 2019
https://tvline.com/2019/04/30/agents-of-shield-season-6-photos-karolina-wydra-mercenary/

In Season 5 of the ABC series, the team leaped forward in time to a dystopian future they soon realized must be prevented. While facing multiple timelines and new enemies from faraway planets, they found family, friends, teammates and the courage to pull off their biggest challenge yet. When Season 6 opens on Friday, May 10 at 8/7c — picking up one year after they dropped a terminal Coulson off in Tahiti — the team is “scattered across the galaxy,” still coming to grips with the knowledge that bending the laws of space and time may have saved the planet, but it couldn’t save Fitz or their former Director.

In these exclusive first looks at three new Season 6 characters (click here for direct access), you will meet:

* Karolina Wydra as Izel, a mercenary from another galaxy who joins forces with the S.H.I.E.L.D. team in order to survive the perils of space.

* Christopher James Baker as Malachi, a mysterious assassin from a distant planet.

* Barry Shabaka Henley as Dr. Marcus Benson, a brilliant Natural Sciences professor recruited to offer his expertise to the S.H.I.E.L.D. team.

On the Set With Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.: The Cast Talks of Life After Coulson, the Search for Fitz, and... Swords?
By Matt Webb Mitovich / May 9 2019,
https://tvline.com/2019/05/09/agents-of-shield-season-6-preview-search-for-fitz/

Quote

Picking up one year after a terminal Coulson got dropped off in the actual Tahiti to live out his final days with May at his side, Season 6 finds S.H.I.E.L.D.’s familiar faces purposely split into two groups. On the ground (aka Earth), Mack, as Director, is leading a mission to “figure out these anomalies that keep popping up” across the country, reports Ming-Na Wen, who plays May. “There are these surges of energy that appear and disappear, so we’re chasing them down to figure out what they are.”

Daisy and Jemma, meanwhile, have been on space odyssey, (somewhat) patiently searching for the ship on which a cryogencially frozen Fitz is biding his time until he arrives in the future of Season 5. “Jemma is determined. She’s in full finding-Fitz mode,” avows Elizabeth Henstridge. “A version of him is [out there], and while there are no guarantees on finding him, she’s convinced she can do it.” (Perhaps hinting at the ladies’ eventual success, Iain de Caestecker was on set during our visit, where he chimed in that “Jemma is steadfast in her beliefs.”)

Falling into neither of the above groups is FitzSimmons’ adult grandson, Deke, who has spent the past year outside of the Lighthouse and “exploring the world,” says portrayer Jeff Ward. “I think he wanted to figure out what this world is all about, because obviously he was born into a very different one,” hailing from that dank future as he does.

Doing his best to manage the ground and space objectives is Mack, who in the Season 5 finale was tapped by Coulson to lead the team. “Personally, I love the challenge of being the director,” Simmons previously told TVLine. “Mack has worked side-by-side with the people he now leads, and that works to his advantage — he’s one of them.”

Knowing May, Yo-Yo et all that closely, however, runs the risk of compromising Mack’s decisions. “The one thing that can hinder his ability to lead is his reluctance to put the people he loves in the line of danger,” Simmons allowed. “As a result, this may lead to Mack’s toughest decision as director: What sacrifices will be made?”

Such dilemmas indeed prove to be “tough on Mack psychologically, and it wears him down,” says Wen. Luckily, May is there to “advise Mack and guide him, because she’s been in that position with Coulson.”

One of Mack and May’s first orders of business in the new season is to boost the ground team’s brainpower in the absence of the collective FitzSimmons. “With one in outer space and one still lost, May’s other job is to try to recruit someone who can replace them,” says Wen. Enter Bosch‘s Barry Shabaka Henley as Dr. Marcus Benson, a brilliant Natural Sciences professor recruited to offer his expertise to the S.H.I.E.L.D. team., while also new to the mix are a “galactic mercenary” and “an assassin from a distant planet.”
*  *  *
Even while venturing dangerously deeper into space, Daisy, for one, “has a bit more of a peace to her,” having properly mourned her mentor and father figure, Chloe Bennet shares. “She has been through it all and is genuinely stronger from it, and she is not dealing with things the way she has in the past — by running or pulling way from people. She has fully accepted her trauma and is moving forward in the most healthy way, for the first time.”

Wen similarly enthuses, “What’s so great about what the writers did is it gave us a year to breathe and kind of reshape our lives. We’ve been able to focus on rebuilding S.H.I.E.L.D. and kind of carry on Coulson’s legacy.” As a result, when we first see May in Season 6, Wen says she is “lighter and more purposeful, and hopeful.”

That lighter vibe will surely be put to the test, though, when a malevolent figure known as Sarge eventually barges onto S.H.I.E.L.D.’s radar, wearing the face of original cast member Clark Gregg.

How can that be? Who or what is the familiar stranger? Gregg has said that Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. fans “might be a little disturbed” to see “this other, very mysterious person, who is not Phil Coulson” wreak such havoc on our heroes.
*  *  *
“This season has an element of fantasy that I don’t think we’ve ever had before…,” Bennet teased. “Everything is a little bit more fragrant, and in a different tone than we’ve had. I mean, there are swords, and… I don’t want to say anything else!

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. First Looks: Anthony Michael Hall's Casino Kingpin and Sherri Saum as a [_____]

This does not bode well. The planet where several Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. heroes just got into all kinds of trouble is actually named after someone, and we’re about to meet him. Also, another of Enoch’s kind will be entering the mix.

In exclusive photos above and below, TVLine has your first look at new characters played by Anthony Michael Hall (The Dead Zone) and Sherri Saum (The Fosters). Hall has been cast as Mr. Kitson, the fiendish ruler of the alien gaming empire where Fitz and Enoch tried to cheat the tables and Jemma and Daisy found themselves “tripping balls.”

Saum, meanwhile, will appear as Atarah, an aggressive Chronicom who wants something from our team.

Previously, TVLine gave you a first look at other Season 6 introductions, including House alum Karolina Wydra’s galactic mercenary, named Izel, and Malachi, the assassin who surfaced last week and nabbed Fitz just as Simmons finally laid eyes on her lost-in-deep space love.

In other Season 6 casting news, Marvel.com reported that S.H.I.E.L.D. co-showrunner Maurissa Tancharoen will be making an on-screen cameo in the Friday, May 31 episode as Sequoia, a “Coachella-chic social media influencer.” ...

Just stumbled over this synopsis for an upcoming episode...

“Collision Course (Part I)” – To face The Galaxy-Hopping Hate-Beast That Eats Planets, the team on Earth asks for help in all the wrong places. While back on the Lazy Comet, something weird is going on with Izel’s crew, and it’s not ajust the puffies, on “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,” FRIDAY, JULY 5 (8:00-9:00 p.m. EDT), on ABC.

Okay, now they are trolling us...the what again? I mean, whoever writes those press releases is always on a mission to reveal as little as possible, but usually this is done by putting the most generic phrases possible together. Now they are offering word salat for a change of pace.

Do you know if Iain de Caestecker/Fitz is still around for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 7? Or is it too soon/spoilerish to say anything? —Claire
Those who stalk social media can probably speak better than I to his presence on set. But what I am able to tell you is that Season 6’s finale (airing in early August) will point to a significant development. “My favorite part about the finale is the very, very end, because it will be a big shift that sets us up for next season,” Chloe Bennet said during my set visit. Added Elizabeth Henstridge: “Stay tuned until that last minute of the finale!”

Well, it jokes about social media, and to be honest, compared to last season, all the actor’s social media accounts did not show a lot of spoilers when shooting-if anything. And its ironic that social media is even brought up bc de Caestecker would dodge videos and pics like it was his job.

He was just in a horror movie right? Maybe he’s getting more gigs but isnt season seven the last season? Part of me wonders if we’re going to get the Snap at the end of the season. Or maybe a cameo? A big shift for the final season...My craziest theory is Daredevil. Maybe the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen will make a jump to ABC. A girl can dream!

According to reports, there is a non-compete clause in the Marvel/Netflix contract with their Marvel Netflix characters that states that the characters featured in the Netflix series can't appear on any other live-action show (possibly including the movies but excluding the cartoons and comics) for at least 2 years after being canceled.

Is Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. Bringing Agent Carter Characters To Season 7?
Mick Joest   July 28, 2019
https://www.cinemablend.com/television/2477230/is-agents-of-shield-bringing-agent-carter-characters-to-season-7

Quote

The rumors began swirling after Wen uploaded the following photo to her Instagram Stories. The photo, seen below, showed personalized bikes the stars were given as wrap gifts for Season 7. Each bike had a tag for the actor or actress is was intended for, and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. fans quickly saw one name that Agent Carter fans know well.
*  *  *
uxusbjdk6nc31.jpg

*  *  *
For those that don't see it quite yet, the middle bike seems to be for actor Enver Gjokaj. Gjokaj has never played a role on Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., but he did play Peggy Carter's boyfriend Daniel Souza for two seasons on the cancelled Agent Carter. Is Gjokaj reprising his role in the final season of S.H.I.E.L.D.?

There's some optimism that may be the case, and that Agent Carter fans may get some form of closure as Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. prepares its curtain call. With that said, it's not a sure thing Enver Gjokaj is really coming back to play Daniel as nothing about this has been confirmed by anyone with the show. The post was later deleted from Ming-Na Wen's Instagram Stories, however, which may be a sign it revealed info the creators didn't want out there.
*  *  *
Anything is possible, although one would assume Marvel would've gotten out ahead of this leak and explained how Enver Gjokaj is completely unrelated to Agent Carter casting if it was no big deal. Also, let's not forget Hayley Atwell appeared as Peggy Carter in Season 2 of Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., as did the Howling Commandos. Point being, there have been Agent Carter appearances in the past, so it isn't too crazy to think some may happen again.

I had been debating posting about that bike photo for the past couple of days. How CRAZY would it be if Agents of Shield time traveled to the past, or Team Carter showed up in the future?? Atwell said she was pretty much done with Carter right-which super bummed me out because I really REALLY wanted to see her set-up Shield.

After last season, all the actresses of Shield have been unusually quiet on Instagram. No behind the scenes shenanigans or trailer postings. Chloe did post a video of herself and Ward dressed in fifties garb awhile ago. I thought they were just screwing around....I would kinda hate if they did travel back in time bc 1) I really hate time travel and 2) Hydra. How do they show up in the fifties and not do something about Hydra infiltrating the ranks of Shield? My vote is for a agent to come back from the “dead” with the creation monolith or finally seeing Ghost Rider after everyone talking about him.

I’ve also seen theories that we’re actually in the endgame of Robin’s predictions right now. Daisy being taken over by Izel could be pretty terrible. She used her powers to activate the monoliths before. “Daisy” accidentally quacking the earth apart but because she’s Izel. Plus, now they’re trying to save Coulson all over again. Coulson who’s literally falling to pieces (but figures out the pieces to put everything together).

I’ve been watching the end of the season trailer to see what we havent see yet to see if there is any time traveling hints but other than FitzSimmons looking super shocked, everything else is just leading up to the fight. May with the Blue Sword of Destiny, Elena shooting bad guys, Mack with a flashlight looking around the temple.

I was concerned about Deke. I thought all this build-up with him was leading to his demise. Figuring out things with FitzSimmons, in the trailer we see him piloting a crashing plane, and then very pale in the temple where the monoliths are I thought for sure he was going to go out a hero. I’m concerned about Elena too-I think that’s her at the end upside down in pain. I think everyone is coming back next season but you know there’s a big twist coming....

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. EPs Break Down Those Trippy Season-Ending Twists, How Final Season Will Tap Into History
By Matt Webb Mitovich / August 2 2019
https://tvline.com/2019/08/02/agents-of-shield-recap-season-6-finale-time-travel-1930s/

Quote

TVLINE | Did you have the luxury of breaking both Season 6 and 7 at the same time? I know Season 6 came as a surprise….
BELL | [We learned about Season 7] about halfway through Season 6.
WHEDON | We did know we had a 7 when we were ending 6, and that allowed us to do that cliffhanger.
*  *  *
TVLINE | Turning to the final act of the finale: When Jemma says, “I can’t know” [where Fitz is], that is because of the fact that the Chronicom hunters know their minds?
TANCHAROEN | That’s very astute!
*  *  *
TVLINE | You sent the team to what I am guesstimating is the year 1930, 1931…?
TANCHAROEN | That’s a good guess….

TVLINE | Why bring us to the 1930s versus the ’40s? Because doesn’t that well predate the creation of S.H.I.E.L.D.?
WHEDON | That’s a good question.
BELL | An excellent Season 7 question.
WHEDON | Also, there’s the cool hats.
TANCHAROEN | We like the clothes, we like the cars….
WHEDON | The bootleggers….
*  *  *
TVLINE | What do you want to say about the mission for Season 7, led by Jemma in her sleek topknot?
WHEDON | It’s to preserve the history that we’ve grown to know and love on our show. It’s a way for us to look back at everything we’ve done and talk about the history of S.H.I.E.L.D. as we bring the show to its final chapter.

TVLINE | Is that by design, to bring things full circle in a way?
WHEDON | That is thematically right on the button, sir.

TVLINE | Will the Chronicom threat be given a specific new face, or is it someone we already met?
WHEDON | It will receive a new face, yes.

TVLINE | You just wrapped filming the final season. Is there any chance for one final MCU nod on your way out the door?
WHEDON | There will be one tiny little MCU nod.
TANCHAROEN | “Tiny”…? OK….
WHEDON | Just a nod! Just a nod.

Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. bosses explain what those twists mean for the final season
By Chancellor Agard August 02, 2019
https://ew.com/tv/2019/08/02/agents-of-shield-season-6-finale-time-travel-coulson/

Quote

ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: What does this ending mean for the seventh and final season?
JED WHEDON: It means that we’re going to have some adventures.
MAURISSA TANCHAROEN: We hope to explore what that means.
WHEDON: It’s safe to say that we’re going back in time. Cue Huey Lewis!

When the season ends, we find them in 1930s New York. Can you tease other time periods we’ll see them visit?
WHEDON: I think we can say we’re definitely going back there and that’s where the adventure begins. Right now the Zephyr is a time machine —
TANCHAROEN: And wouldn’t it be fun to explore different time periods?

Avengers: Endgame set up some very specific time travel rules. In Endgame, time travel is more like multiverse travel and you create new timelines, as opposed to the traditional “change the past to change the present/future.” Are you guys following those rules, or are you doing your own thing?
WHEDON: Well you’re going to have to wait and see.
TANCHAROEN: These all might be things that our characters are debating.
JEFF BELL: Marvel’s not going to let us do anything they don’t want us to do.
*  *  *
How does LMD-Coulson differ from the Coulson that we knew?
BELL: That’s a great season 7 question.
WHEDON: You’re going to have to wait until next summer!
*  *  *
One of my favorite moments in the finale is when Deke goes off on his grandparents about not being taken seriously or even liked and then teleports into the action. Can you talk about why you wanted to give him that beat?
WHEDON: Deke’s a fun character for us in that he started as this survivor in an apocalyptic environment. When he got dropped back in our world, he was a blank slate. We saw this year what that turned into, how he used it to his advantage. That was one of the things we always talk about: a person’s reason for doing something and that he’s not just this wacky egomaniacal CEO-type. There is a reason he sought that out and he went to do that. It’s a misinterpretation of what people want with him. It’s important for us to get to the heart of Deke because he’s been so funny and so ridiculous.
BELL: For a guy who never really had family and tries to fit in and feels ultimately rejected by the very people who are his grandparents, it felt like a great motive for him to do something stupid and heroic, and doing it out of pain as opposed to, “I’m a great guy and I’m going to do it.” What we love about Deke is there’s a lot of humor and there’s a lot of pain, and the pathos of that, I think, makes him a really compelling character.

So Jemma is running an illegal Speakeasy right? Like Grandson like Grandmother?

And if Jemma and Fitz are separated, I’m guessing he’s in the fifties...with Sousa?

Moments in Shield’s past, could make for a fun year of speculation of what we’re going to see. As a major Agent Carter fan, I had always hoped we’d see Peggy building Shield. Maybe with Agents of Shield I’ll get a sliver of that...

I wonder if we’re just going to get nods to the MCU or guest appearances. Wouldn’t it be ironic if we had guest stars on the last season of Shield when when this show first started, people thought it was going to be full of guest appearances? I know we won’t but it could be fun. Its not like Disney can’t afford it.

Question: Why oh why is Season 7 the last season of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.? I am so so upset that such a great series from Marvel is going. I really can’t express my sorrow. —Sue
Ausiello:
For what it’s worth, Sue, know that the ABC series will be going out with a creative bang, sometime in 2020. “I’ll say this: We swung for the fences in Season 7. And sometimes when you swing for the fence, you hit home runs…,” EP Jeffrey Bell told Matt Mitovich. “There are some bonkers episodes [coming].” Co-showrunner Jed Whedon concurred, saying that Season 7 features “some of our most purely entertaining episodes, and we hope people enjoy them as much as we did. We definitely swung for the fences.”

Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s Coulson & Co. Are Out of Time in Final Season — 2020 FIRST LOOK

“Coulson 2.0” & Co. are togged to the bricks for their visit to 1931, as seen in the first official photo from the seventh and final season of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

TVLine’s thrilling #2020FirstLook series continues with an exclusive still photo from the ABC drama’s final season premiere (which was screened for a lucky few at D23 in August, and will hit everyone else’s screens in Summer 2020). In the photo, the new version of Coulson — who was fashioned using a blend of LMD and Chronicom tech — along with Daisy, Mack and Deke, have donned period-appropriate garb to carry out a mission in the year 1931.

When last we tuned in, Daisy, May et al — after vanquishing Izel and Sarge aka Pachakutiq — were met by Jemma, who used a tricked-out Zephyr to time-jump everyone to safety just before Chronicom hunters obliterated the Mayan temple. But to where did a hidden, offsite Fitz send them? The question was actually, “To when,” as we saw the Zephyr approach a New York City where the Empire State Building is just finishing construction. Jemma then revealed that with the Chronicom hunters in possession of Nick Fury’s “black box,” they needed someone who truly knows S.H.I.E.L.D. So, through a merging of Chronicom tech and archival data, they created “the ultimate LMD” in the form of a suit-and-tie wearing Coulson.

In a previously released Season 7 promo (embedded below), a band of Chronicom hunters is seen storming an old-timey cop shop. We then cut to a series of quick clips, of “Coulson 2.0,” and Daisy warming up to him; a poolside murder; Enoch sprinting toward the Zephyr before it “jumps” away; a rocket launch from the seized Lighthouse; and a brief glimpse of a HYDRA logo.

Speaking with TVLine after the penultimate season finale, S.H.I.E.L.D. co-showrunner Jed Whedon said the team’s final, timey-wimey mission is “to preserve the history that we’ve grown to know and love on our show. It’s a way for us to look back at everything we’ve done and talk about the history of S.H.I.E.L.D. as we bring the show to its final chapter.” The cast, meanwhile, said in their final TVLine Comic-Con video Q&A that the series finale will be “beautiful, in a sad way.”

S.H.I.E.L.D.'s Chloe Bennet Hails Final Season's 'Fun' Escape From Grey Space Hallways, 'Perfect' Daisy/Skye Hybrid
By Matt Webb Mitovich / May 25 2020,

The Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. find themselves in a city on the edge of forever when the Marvel series’ final season opens this Wednesday at 10/9c on ABC.
*  *  *
TVLINE | When last we tuned in, “LMD Coulson” had just been unveiled to Daisy and Mack. Has he been fully beta-tested, or is he a bit of a “work in progress”?
That’s a question for Simmons. [Chuckles] I wouldn’t even call him “LMD” — he’s more advanced than that — but he’ll be facing all of those classic existential “robot” questions, like, “Who am I? What am I?” And Clark [Gregg] does such a great job of toeing that line throughout the season. Obviously we have Coulson back, but it’s a little different, and that’s a fun thing to have throughout the season.

TVLINE | How would you describe Daisy’s reaction to him? Is it a bit measured, does she have concerns?
I think that at this point, because he’s died, like, 900 times, she’s just dope to have her buddy back, if that makes sense. Daisy was the one who pushed that button [in the finale to activate the new Coulson], so I think she has come to terms with him leaving and being gone. Now there’s just an excitement to have him back.

TVLINE | In their first scene of the premiere, though, it’s a lot for everyone to process.
It is. But like all things S.H.I.E.L.D., you kinda have to shake it off and keep moving forward to save the world. There’s not a lot of time to dwell on any relationship problems. That’s what makes it so great when we do get those kind of relationship moments, whether they’re platonic or romantic — there’s a lot of weight to them, because they’re rare.

TVLINE | All told, how do the 1930s treat Daisy? And vice versa?
[Laughs] I think she loves it, because at heart, Skye and Daisy are very adventurous. It was kind of fun to play the ’30s a little bit more like Skye, in the sense that everything was new and she is getting to experience the excitement of being in a different time. And it was fun to put Daisy in such a “traditional” backdrop. She is such an alpha female, and that’s not something that necessarily does well in the ’30s. It was really fun to play those beats with the men of that time that don’t know that she’s from the future and a superhero and badass.

TVLINE | You tweeted that it’s actually easier to do fight scenes in a period dress than in your Quake costume.
Like, 98 percent easier. One-hundred percent easier, actually. At one point we go this black tie event, and there’s one specific, green outfit that was unbelievable, and I was like, “Oh my God, I can’t believe superheroes wear these tight, thick plastic outfits when I could be wearing a ballgown.” Fighting in a dress was much easier for me. But pantyhose, not so much!
*  *  *
TVLINE | There’s a passing moment in the premiere where as a black man in a nice suit, Mack feels he is being stared at. Is that thread picked up on further, the racial issues of the time, or is it a one-off?
It’s definitely something where, whether it’s sexist or racial issues, the show addresses it in true Marvel form. Meaning, we’re not going to turn a blind eye to the fact that that’s how it was and how different things are now.

TVLINE | How would you describe Daisy’s arc in these final 13 episodes?
If anything, this season she is a perfect hybrid of all the versions we have seen of her. I feel like I’ve played so many versions of her within the show, because each season was so, so different, whether it was aesthetically or what she was going through and how much pain…. It’s not Skye Season 1 where she’s learning about this world. It’s not Daisy Season 2, where she coming to terms with discovering her powers. It’s not Daisy Season 3, where she’s coming to terms with the responsibility of being a superhero. It’s not Season 5, where she’s coming to terms with the idea that Coulson might not always be there, and it’s not Season 6, where she was her finding her own self after someone so important to her was gone.

TVLINE | It’s almost as if the theme is, “Let’s have some fun saving the world this time.”
Yeah, I think she is super grounded in who she has become over the past six seasons, so there’s a little bit more room for playfulness. And I tried to bring more elements of Skye to her, going back to those roots. It was fun to bring that bit of lightness back, all while the stakes are very high. And it was exciting but sad to put on the Quake suit for the last time, to show up to work that last day. We were all going through stuff, Daisy and Chloe.

TVLINE | The premiere alone suggests this will literally be a lighter, brighter season, because we’re finally out of the dark grey space hallways.
You’re telling me! Every day we were literally in those hallways, and if a scene was two minutes long we were there for seven hours. [Laughs] It was really, really exciting for the cast and the crew to get out of the stages and get out of the grey space hallways, because it does affect your mood. You get to see all of the departments really do their thing and stretch themselves creatively, whether it was set dec or hair and makeup…. It was really, really fun to see everyone be excited by that newness.

TVLINE | Outside of Daisy, is there a storyline this season that you found particularly interesting?
I think the writers do a really good job of balancing out and giving everyone a satisfying ending, for the character, for the actor and, No. 1 obviously, for the fans. There are a few people that I think fans are going to be really excited to see.

TVLINE | We know about Patton Oswalt returning, and Enver Gjokaj reprising his Agent Carter role. Might there be surprises beyond that?
Definitely. It’s a really rewarding season for the fans. It’s a love letter to them, really.

TVLINE | And the series finale itself, it delivers closure? We’ll feel like a complete story has been told?
Definitely. They do a beautiful job at giving every person on this show a fitting ending. They do a really good job… but I don’t want to give anything away!

Elizabeth Henstridge on FitzSimmons’ ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ Fate
BY CHRISTINA RADISH      MAY 27, 2020
https://collider.com/agents-of-shield-season-7-elizabeth-henstridge-interview-series-finale/

Quote

While the actors are saying goodbye to their characters, after seven seasons, Collider got on the phone to chat 1-on-1 with Elizabeth Henstridge about what’s most surprised her about her journey on the series, whether fans can hold out hope for a happy ending for FitzSimmons, how we’ll come to find out more about what happened to Jemma Simmons while she was separated from the team, being extremely focused on her mission, the character and relationship dynamics she most enjoyed exploring in Season 7, how her first day on the show compared to her last day, and whether she thinks fans will be satisfied with the end of the series.
*  *  *
This is also not exactly the first go around FitzSimmons have had being separated by space and time. Is there anything that you can say to give hope to the fans that just want them to have a happy ending?
HENSTRIDGE: Oh, man. Well, I want that, too. They will do anything and everything to be together. Where we see Simmons, at the start of Season 7, is that she doesn’t know where Fitz is. All we know is that she can’t know. So, that at least gives some sort of hope. In typical Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. fashion, it doesn’t give that much hope, but it’s something. She’s grown a lot, over the seasons, from being just the geeky comic sidekick. At the end of Season 6, we saw her extremely stoic and almost void of warmth, and that’s something that we will come to find out why. Something pretty significant has happened, in however long that gap is that she was separated.

Are there relationship dynamics that you most enjoyed getting to explore this season?
HENSTRIDGE: Simmons arrives with Enoch, and their relationship is one that gets explored further. I really love getting to play with Joel [Stoffer], and having scenes with him. Enoch captured the hearts of the audience, right from day one. He just exploded onto the screen, and he’s just such a brilliant addition. Simmons was never really that close with Enoch before, so they explore what that friendship might look like. And then, there’s the relationship that we saw, at the end of Season 6, with what feels like Coulson being back, is just crazy complicated because of Sarge and everything that happened, and what it means to her to have him back, if he is. That’s probably the biggest change, for this season. We just see a real strength and growth in all of the characters, this season. Every character gets stretched beyond, and we get to see them in the craziest scenarios, which brings a lot of drama and a lot of potential sadness, but also just such brilliant comedy. I think this season is the funniest season. When you work with actors that are very good at the dramatic stuff, they’re usually also extremely talented, at the comedic side of it. It’s all about timing. When you really care about the characters, and then you see them in a situation, it just brings out the comedy more, somehow. There are just some really funny moments, coming up.

It seems like some of that comedy comes between Simmons and Deke. Will we get to see more of them together, as well?
HENSTRIDGE: Yeah, we see more of them together. Simmons is on a very particular mission, so she’s extremely focused. She has an urgency about her that doesn’t allow for much time-wasting and comedy of errors. There’s just no room for error, for her, right now. It might take awhile for her to crack a smile.
*  *  *
Since it’s clearly impossible to make everyone happy with the ending of a TV series, especially one that’s been on for so many seasons, do you feel like fans will at least be satisfied with where things are left?
HENSTRIDGE: Oh, yeah. I loved the ending. People are going to have their own opinions, and that’s wonderful and natural. We almost got to do an alternative ending, after Season 5, and in my mind, it’s absolutely perfect. I don’t want to say too much, but it’s pretty perfect.

Chloe Bennet on the ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ Series Finale: “This Is Not a ‘Game of Thrones’ Situation”
BY CHRISTINA RADISH      MAY 27, 2020
https://collider.com/agents-of-shield-season-7-chloe-bennet-interview-series-finale/

Quote

While the actors are saying goodbye to their characters, after seven seasons, Collider got on the phone to chat 1-on-1 with Chloe Bennet about making the seventh season feel fresh and new, how the 1930s wardrobe was significantly easier to fight in than her Quake suit, what has most surprised her about the full journey she’s taken with this series, the character and relationship dynamics she most enjoyed exploring in Season 7, how her first day on the show compared to her last day, and whether she feels fans will be satisfied with the way things wrap up.
*  *  *
There were never any mishaps, with it getting caught on anything?
BENNET: There was one scene where I shot with a silk-ish green dress, and we definitely had back-ups. For screen purposes, it was harder, but for me, it was definitely much easier to fight in. It was really fun. The hair, I will say, is different because I had nine hundred Bobby pins in my hair. It was really the only time the huge stunt guys would have been scared of me because I was the one with deadly weapons in my hair, flying around, all the time. Usually, I’m the one scared of getting punched by a 250-pound guy, but now, I had the power. It was so much fun. The writers did such a good job with the fact that we’ve had seven years, and how do you make this last season feel fresh and new? It was so fun to see every department step up, whether it was set dec, or hair, or make-up, or wardrobe, to interpret their version of 1930s characters. And then, moving forward, with all of the other decades that we visit, it was like, “What would Deke wear then? What would Coulson be wearing? What would Mack be wearing?” To see what all of the characters were wearing and how different they were was really fun.

This show started out as a seemingly straightforward show about these agents working in a world where superheros exist, but it’s evolved into so much more, with time travel and human robots and space. What has most surprised you about where things ended up, from where they began?
BENNET: What I love about the way that the show wraps up is that they really pay homage to that first season, where not all heroes are super and these are, ultimately, people. They did such a good job with Daisy, throughout the whole series, where they really humanized what having power means, and how that’s a responsibility and how that can be scary to some people. It’s not just, “I’ve got powers? Great! I’m gonna use them to save the world.” There are real human emotions for everyone involved, with what it means to be extraordinary. They really humanized all of the characters, and there’s a little nod to Season 1, at least for me, in terms of how I tried to bring Daisy into a more grounded space, for the last season. She’s been through so much, with each season, whether it was trying to find my parents, realizing that I had powers, dealing with what that meant, trying to figure out how my powers worked, and the resentment of Coulson. There were so many things that I’ve been dealing with, and for Season 7, we tried to bring a little bit more of Skye back to Daisy. She’s more comfortable with who she is. She’s been through a lot, and now she’s okay with that. Really, what she wants to do is be with the people that she loves and cares about, and save the world. That’s where we were, at the beginning of the show, and it feels like where we’ve come back to.

What character and relationship dynamics did you most enjoy exploring, in this final season?
BENNET: I obviously have such a soft spot for the Coulson and Daisy relationship because it’s a special one for TV. Obviously, things are a lot different now, but we started the show when TV was a very different world. If you were a young female on TV, it was pretty much all about who your love interest was, and who you were dating, and what guy you were gonna end up with. And our writers really took a really different approach, in making her not always the protagonist. She stayed true to herself. It was a self-discovery journey for Daisy, throughout the series, and a real discovery of who she was, where she came from, and what family means. There were bigger themes for her that were bigger than just a love interest, which I think was a really special thing, as like a young female. Most of the things I was auditioning for, at the beginning of the show, was for the love interest of this guy. To get to really explore seven seasons, and the main “love interest” for me was this really special relationship with this father-like figure for her, and understanding that family comes in all different shapes and sizes and situations, and it’s really about surrounding yourself with those people who make you feel at home, and it doesn’t have to be a love interest for young women, was really fun. You can find independence and still rely on people, and be strong without that. That really mirrored Clark [Gregg] and I’s relationship because he’s been such a mentor for me, since day one. They really just wrote what was organically happening off camera because Clark and I are so close. I’m so close with his family and his daughter. It just felt so organic.
*  *  *
Since it’s impossible to make everyone happy with the ending of a TV series, especially after it’s been on for so many seasons, do you feel that like fans will, at least, be satisfied with where things wrap up?
BENNET: Yes, I do. This is not a Game of Thrones situation. I think fans will be very satisfied with the way that the show ends. There are a lot of endings. There are a lot of people on the show, and there are a lot of ways that it could go. This show has been kept alive by our fans. I think it’s safe to say that everyone was constantly thinking about how to make it more enjoyable, especially for the people who’ve been watching the show since Season 1. It’s part of what I love about it, even down to little wardrobe things for Daisy. For Skye, my color has always been purple, from even the first episode with the purple tee-shirt. Those are little through lines that fans love to engage in, and those are the things that I love to watch in other shows. It’s that thoughtfulness about little aspects that aren’t even spoken about. And so, that’s why the dress at the beginning is purple, even in the ‘30s. It’s still a not to that kind of through line, throughout the whole series. There are little things like that, that I think fans are gonna really enjoy.

‘Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ EPs Talk Tonight’s Final-Season Debut, More Marvel, Time Travel, Hydra & How It All Ends
By Dominic Patten    May 27, 2020
https://deadline.com/2020/05/marvel-agents-of-shield-spoilers-final-season-iinterview-jeph-loeb-jed-whedon-1202944471/

Quote

DEADLINE: Let’s start with “The New Deal” season opener, set in 1931. We have time travel, we have a very different type of Agent Coulson, we have a lot of ramifications, and we have this terrible philosophical and practical dilemma, which is that in order to save S.H.I.E.L.D., you have to save Hydra. How did we get here, more than 90 years in the past?
[JED] WHEDON:
As writers we’re trying to figure out what we’re going to launch into that feels as exciting as everything we’ve already done, and there was only one thing left on the list, which is traveling back in time.

So it’s a great way for us to be able to revisit S.H.I.E.L.D. history, the history of the show we made, and a history of our characters. This launching point is back at the very origin of S.H.I.E.L.D., which is also the origin of Hydra. In fact, it is a reaction to Hydra, so we felt like that was a good way to re-explore some of the stuff we’ve been talking about for six years now.

[JEFFREY] BELL: It creates good conflict for our characters. It’s big drama, and that’s how we landed on that.

[MAURISSA] TANCHAROEN: You know, it’s in what Mack (Simmons) says in the season opener of let’s make ripples, not waves in the past. That is something that they have to hold on to and try to adhere to as they move forward through the season with time travel,

We’ve been known, at this point, that with every season we tend to reinvent what the show feels like. We really step up to a challenge each year, and with the time travel aspect that really was something for every department to sink their teeth into and that was something that was really fun for everybody to do. I think they did it all with flying colors.

WHEDON: Yeah, they were very excited, except that they didn’t have more budget (laughs).

BELL: With respect to S.H.I.E.L.D. saving Hydra, we live in a morally complex world and S.H.I.E.L.D. frequently has to do things that are a question of are you doing more harm or more good.

Also, the idea of having to save Hydra would just annoy the hell out of our characters, which we like, and create big riffs between them. We are always looking for conflict between characters and each season we tend to either start with the characters apart and bring them together or the opposite. The idea of having to do this really puts our team at odds over how to go forward like if you can shoot Hitler why not shoot Hitler, you know?

The other thing I want to say that because this was our last season and because there was an underlying nostalgia, we really went for it with stories. I mean, we took chances. There’s a lot of fun things that we would’ve never attempted earlier in the show and I’m really curious to see how fans respond to some of those bolder choices.

TANCHAROEN: There are some bold choices, that’s for sure.

DEADLINE: In that vein, where is this final season going to take us from here?
[JEPH] LOEB:
First, look at it from just a practical point of view in that we’ve been off the air for what feels like over a year since we’ve been back with these characters. So I thought it was a very clever way that [executive producer] Jed [Whedon], and Maurissa and Jeff came up with as a way to bring people very quickly up to things which you may have missed. At the same time you don’t necessarily need to know in order to understand what’s going on, but technically what excites me about this season is also that it’s an opportunity to do what the show does best.

DEADLINE: Which is?
LOEB:
Which is to reflect upon humanity the best of humanity and the worst of humanity. You know, we don’t get hardly enough credit for the fact that seven years ago we set out with this incredibly diverse cast. It is something that in the last few years has become something that networks are very attuned to, but again Jeff, and Jed, and Maurissa from the very beginning said that they wanted a show that looked like our culture, and that’s where we’ve delivered on it.

For this season, when you’re doing time jumps in the past you see the diversity, particularly in America, is not as intelligent or a forgiving as it once was, or pretends to be now. So, being able to see how each of these characters react to this world is some of the fun of the show as well. Yes, we’re going back in time but we’re also going back in our own cultural history. If S.H.I.E.L.D. can be an echo of that, and one of our viewers can walk away and go, wow, that’s what it used to be like and start that kind of conversation, that’s very exciting to me for the season.
*  *  *
DEADLINE: In this first episode of the last season, there’s a lot of, I’ll call them cameos. There’s a then-Governor Franklin Delano Roosevelt, which has a great impression upon Coulson. We also see Patton Oswalt back in a different role. How much are you wanting to weave this season into real history and into your own history?
WHEDON:
I would say our focus was definitely our own history. Playing with history is fun. That’s part of the fun of going back in time. But part of the philosophy of this season was we had a Season 5 that we thought was the end and we really focused on our characters and their feelings, and we felt like they got sort of an emotional closure. Now, here we are doing that again.

So our focus this time was more about what do we really want to see before this is over? What can we give the fans that feels rewarding and rewards them for spending all this time with us? For spending all these years and paying attention to all the details, so reliving our own history became part of it in a fun way, and we think that that will be rewarding for the characters, and also the audience.

DEADLINE: Are we only going to see time to the ‘30s or are we going to see time travel this season through different eras as well?
TANCHAROEN: Yeah.

LOEB: I would say that the poster art will clue you in a little bit to that.

TANCHAROEN: It’s a very heavy component of time travel already and nostalgia. So, I do think that that runs through this season, within our characters, within the feeling of the show, within the things they’re experiencing and then just for us and the experiences of shooting and creating this last season.
*  *  *
DEADLINE: Meaning Marvel and something you do have a big say in, are we going to bump into more of the Marvel Cinematic Universe in this final season, as you have in past years?
WHEDON:
We’re going to bump into something.

LOEB: (laughs) Yeah, we’ll bump into something.

BELL: Something will definitely happen.

DEADLINE: Whatever goes bump in these last episodes, series finales are hard to pull off for everyone, from big shows to under-the-radar series. Unlike many, you’ve planned for this, you had literally two extra seasons that you didn’t think you were going to have. So, are you satisfied with how S.H.I.E.L.D ends?
LOEB:
Very much so. I get to be the sort of first audience and it’s just been so much fun watching what these three and the incredible writing staff have done. The amazing journey that they’ve taken us on, and to be perfectly honest some stuff that we’ve gotten away with, and that’s been a joy.

WHEDON: Part of making a show is a puzzle and part of it is a game and you’re working with people that you’ve known for a long time to try to create something good. Then, when you come to the end there is a bit of a pressure that you want to get that right. Here, I think it’s safe to say that all of us we feel like the audience will feel the thing we wanted them to feel in the end and will feel satisfied with the ending.

I also think that the emotion of having a last season and knowing it’s the end is heavy. I think that that carries into the episodes and carries into the storyline and the performances, and all of it. So, we’re happy with it and we’re actually happy to revisit it as we watch it, because we finished it a while ago (laughs).

Clark Gregg on ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’s Final Season and Closing This Chapter of the MCU
BY CHRISTINA RADISH      JUNE 3, 2020
https://collider.com/agents-of-shield-season-7-clark-gregg-coulson-interview/

Quote

While the actors are saying goodbye to their characters, after seven seasons, Collider got on the phone to chat 1-on-1 with actor Clark Gregg about what it’s been like to go on this journey with Phil Coulson, from the beginning of the MCU to the early days of Marvel TV to now closing this chapter, the best thing about getting to play this character, how important the cast relationships have been to him, the most surprising storyline he had to pull off, getting to explore the style of different time periods, getting to see some familiar faces, and whether he thinks fans will be satisfied with the series finale.
*  *  *
The team has realized that, to save S.H.I.E.L.D., they have to save HYDRA, which is a pretty wild concept. What can you say to tease how that will play out, this season?
GREGG: It’s such an interesting idea that, without the evil that you’re fighting against, the goodness doesn’t manifest and the heroism doesn’t rise. Removing the challenge that makes S.H.I.E.L.D. become what it is, does put us in a funny position, but I think it’s a great idea and I’m excited too for people to see the way it plays out.
*  *  *
You’ve played quite an evolution with Coulson. What was it like to explore his new super enhancements?
GREGG: I think it’s fun for fanboy Phil Coulson, after all of these years, to finally get to have some abilities. He had his hand, which could do some stuff, and he had his cool holographic shield, but this is a whole different level, so it’s fun for him to get to do that. Even though he did not want to be brought back this way, I think he likes having the opportunity to show up in a very strong and powerful form, for his friends.
*  *  *
It’s fun that, in this least season, we’ll get to have some previous characters and actors back, this season. What was it like to have some of those familiar faces return?
GREGG: It wouldn’t have been a good final season unless Patton [Oswalt] was there. He was the secret weapon that showed up and made our show better, all the time, like he does, and is a pleasure to be around. And I loved Agent Carter, so I was really excited to have Enver [Gjokaj] around, playing Agent Souza. We loved him. It was great to have him around. And there are a few other surprises and interesting versions of past people. That’s all I’m gonna say.

Since it’s impossible to make everyone happy with the ending of a TV series, especially after it’s been on for so many seasons, do you feel like fans will at least be satisfied with how things wrap up?
GREGG: I think so. I think fans are so savvy about the way stories go and most people understand that our show, to a certain extent, had its emotional series ending, at the end of Season 5, in many ways. That’s not to say that there isn’t similar stuff in this last season, but then they gave us two more. What I love about what our writers did, was that they went, “Okay, then let’s have the most fun possible. Let’s go full sci-fi with space demons and an evil alter-ego for Coulson. And then, in the last season, we’ll go popping through different decades, and we’ll make the most out of what those decades represent, in style and tone. And we’ll put our very diverse cast in different time periods, where diversity is a challenge for people, and really make the most out of that and have fun with it.” We’re going out with a, we have nothing to prove to anybody but ourselves, bang.

Clark Gregg on ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’s Final Season and Closing This Chapter of the MCU

This is speculation, but seriously if we don’t get Grandpa Triplett, I’m going to be seriously bummed. I’m hoping that’s one of the surprise appearances Gregg wouldn’t spoil. And of course Peggy Carter, and I hope LMD Coulson loses his literal bolts if he meets her.

And if they keep blasting through time, I hope they save Triplett-but if wishes were unicorns and all that. A girl can dream.

Oh, wouldn't that be nice! I still miss Trip. 😞 I just did a complete show re-watch and was sad to remember just how early we lost him, how little time we actually had with him.

The crux of the season so far seems to be about not changing the past, though, and saving Trip would be a pretty big change to make in terms of their own personal timelines.

What if they save Trip, but bring him forward in time? I would appreciate a loop for them to jump through to save him.

Part of me is wondering if that’s what they do with Sousa tonight. Save him, have his death be faked and he moves forward with them in time.

I now wonder if we’re going to see Carter at the end of this series talking to Coulson about how she tracked them through time. Or maybe in the middle. Wouldn’t it be WILD if we see Cap or any Avenger? I know we probably won’t but everyone though that’s how this story was going to start right? Guest appearances?

My guess is that with big brother Joss Whedon gone so did the cameos. But Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury will remain forever. Given the character biography Sebastian Stan's Bucky/Winter Soldier-White Wolf would be my best guess for most likely Avenger.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.: Enver Gjokaj Breaks Down Sousa's Reaction to 'Agent Carter,' Previews Noir Episode

TVLINE | Looking back at your first S.H.I.E.L.D. scene, what should we make of Daniel’s reaction to thinking that Peggy was inside the base? His level of surprise suggested that, at the very least, they are no longer in regular contact.
Yeah…. You know, I have a lot of experience with this, from working on Agent Carter, where they don’t really tell us much, so you have to make something up in your own brain about what you think it is, hoping and trusting and knowing that the Marvel people have worked the timeline out. So I just did a “trust fall.” I guess we have to assume that, as you said, they haven’t really seen each other. That it wasn’t an easy, happy ending like the ending of Agent Carter may have led us to believe.

TVLINE | And yet he did check his hair on the way in, so he must not consider himself entirely out of the game.
You know, I think that when it comes to Daniel and Peggy, he’s just going to be into her for the rest of his life. [Laughs] She is the one that got away for him. Or the one that he got. Either way, she’s the one.

TVLINE | Upon seeing Avengers: Endgame, what was your reaction to what happened between Peggy and Steve Rogers?
I thought it was wonderful. I thought it was a beautiful way of ending their story. And I’ve said this before, I think that it actually makes the romance between Daniel and Peggy that much more bittersweet.

So, is Sousa now a de facto member of the team? “I wouldn’t get my hopes up too much,” his portrayer, Enver Gjokaj, told TVLine. “But he’s on the ride for the time being.”

As for when they have just landed, “It was fun for me as an actor to play Daniel in that time period, reacting to that time period,” Gjokaj teased. “That was a blast for that particular episode.”

In the immediate aftermath of this week’s episode, Gjokaj said that Sousa is “very conflicted about being taken out of time, as you can imagine, because of all of the things that he had to love for in that time period. That might, though, give us some clarity on what’s happening with him in the MCU universe [and] what ultimately happened between Peggy and Daniel.”

Truthfully, as much as I wanted a send-off performance for Haley Atwell as Peggy Carter, (although Endgame gave us the very best possible one!) what I was really hoping for was one final appearance of Dominic Cooper's Howard Stark. With the upcoming episode's jump to the '70s, we're firmly in the John Slattery as Howard time-frame, which saddens me. 😔 I doubt we'll see Howard at all at this point. I thought we had a perfect spot for a Jarvis sighting with the reference to "Howard's man" in the Noir episode, but it was not to be.
