Ross playing the bagpipes, Phoebe singing to it and Jennifer Aniston trying not to laugh.

This was genuinely hysterical, cause you can tell Jennifer Aniston is losing it during the scene and Lisa Kudrow shrieking whatever the hell she's singing leaves me in stitches.

From seeing the bloopers, it's funny that the shot that aired of Jennifer still breaking was the best usable footage they could get.

Watching season 4/5 again I noticed there are 2 times there that characters break from Ross yelling. When Ross yells at the stripper in Chandler's office about the ring, you can see Joey break and try to hide behind Ross but they cut to a different take and Joey is back standing normally behind him. And I think it's when Ross yells "I don't care about the stupid band!" that Rachel starts laughing and they do a quick cut again.

I just found it interesting those 2 happen within a few episodes of each other and aside from bagpipes scene there aren't really any others where they visibly break that couldn't be thought of as the character doing it too. Like Rachel laughing when Frank Jr. yells about his sister having his babies can be understood as Rachel actually laughing at that and not Jennifer Aniston being surprised (it was unplanned that he'd say it like that).

And in the version at aired, Jennifer looks right at the camera! She's not just breaking, she's breaking the fourth wall! I'm not even mad, I can't blame them for that being the most usable take.

I'm surprised after 10 years working together and looking like they had fun on set , that the only 2 who became friends is jen and Courtney .. I remember reading that Jennifer Aniston didn't invite any of the guys to her wedding . I wonder if they all got along .

I will say that this might be the only show I've seen last this long and still have all the main characters . Usually by the 5th season or so someone will drop out . Then again , I guess a million dollars per episode will get you to stay !

I've worked in offices for 10+ years, 8 hours a day, year round.   I have personal relationships with practically none of my co-workers.   What I find more strange is those actors who gush about how much they love their co-workers, how they are just like family.....

The Big Bang Theory has lasted even longer with all its original main characters intact. But it's likely the same sentiment regarding what the actors are pulling per episode towards the end of the run.

I don't really find it that strange . Actors working on tv shows often work/ are on set 16,17 hours a day every day . I'm sure it's easy to become close , especially because they're in scenes together working alongside each other all the time .

Here are the friendships as it stands, from what I've observed over the years.

Jen and Courteney are very close friends.
Matt and Matthew are friends, but not as close as Jen and Courteney.
Courteney and Matthew are good friends, but not super closer like she is with Jen.

I don't know about Lisa or David.

Yeah, the women are all still close (with Kudrow I think it's a location/logistics situation, is why she's not seen with Court & Jen more often).

I've long fanwanked that Matthew fell for Courteney during the show's run, and never got over her.  Of course I have *no proof; it's something the fanfic area of my brain thought up.

It makes me think of the "hot & foamy" scene from Frasier (when Martin's shaving cream device explodes all over Niles).  They did *finally* get a take without laughter, but it's a fast cutaway after Daphne's last line.

I caught that when I watched the episode a few days later! I think it's funnier that she looks at the camera.

Joey trying to build an entertainment center and putting a drill right through Chandler's bedroom wall:

Joey: "Oh, did I get ya?"
Chandler: "No you didn't 'get me'! It's an electric drill! You 'get' me, you kill me!"

Chandler, Rachel, and Ross are trying to carry Ross' couch up the stairs:

Ross: "Pivot! Pivot! (Ross is now both trying to carry the couch and lean against it for support) PIVOT!"
Chandler: 'Shut up! Shut up! Shut uppppp!"

Same episode, when Rachel shows up with Chandler:

Ross: "Did you get Joey?"
Rachel: "No but I brought the next best thing."
Ross: "Chandler? The next best thing would've been Monica."

The entire football game between the men and women on Thanksgiving but especially Monica's, "I'm a tiny little woman!"

Monica and Rachel getting into a fight and Monica beating Rachel with her own sock.

The episode where Chandler is upset that Janice is in love with her ex and he's playing darts. Joey tells him that if it was him, he'd bow out. Chandler, about to throw a dart, whips around and Joey throws himself to floor.

Michael Flatley being what scares "the bejeezus" out of Chandler. "His legs flail about as if independent from his body!"

When Chandler is trying to get into the closet by the bathroom and Monica says something like “if you love me, you’d let it go” and Chandler pauses, rattles the doorknob and then walks by saying “love you” slays me.

I absolutely adore the way he says “love you” and casually saunters past.

I often do not understand how they ALL didn’t break when Matthew spoke.

To this day, I don't know what's funnier, the scene, or the outtake.

A coworker picked up some furniture  I'm getting rid of.   As her husband and I manoeuvred it out the door, she and I both yelled "pivot, pivot".  Her husband thought we were nuts.

I'm getting new furniture tomorrow.  I'm guessing furniture delivery guys are tired of hearing "pivot, pivot."

I know there is something there but ABP is not letting it show. Rude ad blocker.

Anyways, that whole thing with the furniture delivery guy is making me think of TOW Free Porn, when Joey and Chandler are out and about, and they expect their day to play out like those porn videos they've been watching. Of course, it doesn't.

The discussion in the Worst thread about Chandler and porn made me think of one of the more subtle jokes Friends ever made. After Joey gives Chandler the bracelet, Chandler is talking to Phoebe:

Phoebe: Any idea what this will do for your sex life?

Chandler: It might slow down at first, but once I'm used to the extra weight, I'll be back on track.
