Erin and Chad: Fifty Shades of Pink

Oooof. Carlin must be pissed. Josie's pregnancy announcement reel got 41k likes and 1100 comments, while Carlin's snorkeling reel only pulled 8k and 110. I guess that's Influencer life. One second you're hot, the next you're day old bread.

It's probably about how long the attention she got from her family lasted too.

Like that would ever stop them. That baby train isn't stopping until menopause.

Menopause may well be early for Erin.  I can hope. With Chad's lack of paying work and their apparent refusal to have a mortgage, they really shouldn't bring any more children into the mix.  Yeah, I know preaching to the choir, but they really need to stop.

I just can’t believe that Erin’s 1/4 ovary is still going strong. Chad needs to pull out or something.

Does anyone know how many siblings Chad has?

It's going strong with the help of fertility drugs. Or she lied about the fraction of an ovary in the first place.

Chad has nine siblings, including Tabitha, who was married off to a convicted rapist. One brother has five children. None of the other siblings has more than three.

Chad doesn't want to pull out. They don't want to limit their fertility/family. This is all their choice. Would it be my choice? No.  They are not on public assistance as far as we know. Of course my issue with them is their odious beliefs in pretty packages.  And they are passing that along to their children to be perpetuated. Undereducated/ biased/etc.  That's the part I don't like.

I'm willing to bet they are either on Medicaid, the Chip program or the Affordable Care Act. But they would never own up to this. There is no hospital that I know of that would let Chad pay off the bill in trade like Gill used to do.

Every. time that Erin says "we want to build," I want to scream that is never going to happen with you and Chad keeping up the baby train.

I agree that it is very likely that they are receiving Medicaid via Healthy Start which is meant to insure pregnant women and children up to age 4.  Any hospital/provider is going to expect them to sign up for any healthcare they are eligible to receive or to pay up front.  No way they've got enough money to afford to pay out of pocket for prenatal care and delivery and no way a provider is going to care for them without payment being guaranteed when they are eligible for government coverage.

The Affordable Care Act aka Obamacare is just a marketplace that would allow them to purchase insurance, and they'd likely get subsidies too. Florida didn't expand Medicaid, so Erin might be on it because she's pregnant, but I don't know if Chad and the six kids would be eligible.

My guess is Chad and Erin will buy property and build a house right around the time I marry a duke, get a tiara, and move to a manor house.

Some info about Florida's Medicaid Healthy Start:
