S07.E00: 15 Fan Favorite Queens of all Times

So did anyone watch the 30 minute special that came on after the NNN awards called the Top 15 Fan Favorite queens?  What did you think of the list?

The list seemed kind of off to me. I mean, Jinkx, Sharon and Alyssa not even top 10? Detox and Shangela not on the list at all? Adore at #1?!? Now, I like Adore fine but ... #1?! I understand that we all have our faves amongst the queens (as well as those we are, shall we say, not fond of) and no list is going to please everyone but ... #1? Really!?

It kinda doesn't surprise me.  The season is probably freshest in people's minds.  I don't know how much social media pimping the queens were able to do, but she probably would do it as well as any one.  She really grew on me during the season, so it really doesn't bug.  Anyway, once I saw Nina's name so high in the list (and the fact the Pandora was on it at all) nothing else about it would truly have bugged me.

I got the feeling she was #1 because of her 'amazing success' since the show.  They couldn't stop talking about how many songs she's sold!  And yeah, that was certainly not my favorite 15.  Still, it got me excited about the new season!

I love Alaska like none other and was rooting for her to win S5, but I'm shocked she was #2.  Higher than Jinx?  How did that happen?

Why were Jujubee and Raven ranked together? Are they performing as a duo now? Good list, but I would have taken out Alaska, Ongina, and perhaps Nina Flowers, and replaced them with Courtney Act, Ivy Winters, Chad Michaels, and maybe Yara Sofia or Carmen Carrera.

WTF happened to Sharon's face?! I can understand using her winnings to get her teeth did, but she's had way too much work done. Until I read the chyron, I thought she was Michael Alig.

I did love that Sharon & Alaska had nothing but good things to say about each other.

Why were Jujubee and Raven ranked together? Are they performing as a duo now? Good list, but I would have taken out Alaska, Ongina, and perhaps Nina Flowers, and replaced them with Courtney Act, Ivy Winters, Chad Michaels, and maybe Yara Sofia or Carmen Carrera.

 

Goes to show it's all a matter of taste. Alaska is my all time favorite (tied with Juju), and I love Nina and really like Ongina. And other than Yara Sofia, I wouldn't put any of those ones on my list.

I love Raven, but I can't stand Jujubee. J just comes off as to fake (just my humble opinion). I think Adore is #1 because she can sing! I love her voice, I thought it was way more appealing then Courtney Act (which I'm evilly happy that CA didn't make the list at all).

I noticed that the 2 season winners Bebe Zahara Benet and Tyra Sanchez are not on the list either. I would think all the winners would be on the "all time best" list but guess they are not as popular as the others?

This list sucks like a hooker on payday. I like Adore, but IMO she's not better than Bianca, Raja, Manila, Jujubee, Latrice, Raven, Pandora, Alaska, Ongina,  Bebe Zahara Benet, Nina Flowers, Ben De La Crème, Jinxx Monsoon or Chad Michaels.

I saw a picture of Sharon on my Facebook page yesterday-I follow a lot of the girls-and I literally gasped when I saw Sharon.  She was out of drag, and just looked SO unlike herself!  I have a feeling she may someday regret turning herself into a caricature...I love her drag and was happy she won her season but no girl.  Stop.

Speaking of either plastic surgery or Photoshop, Jinxx was unrecognizable to me.  She had a really huge nose on the show.  I dont see why Ben was on the list, unless its because its the newest season.  Adore can't even look groomed for a PR shot going on a website, can she?  Hers is the only ratty, busted up photo

I'm indifferent toward Detox, but I was shocked she wasn't on there. I thought people were really into her. Totally agree with everyone else who's surprised at number one. And I just have to say, I absolutely cannot stand Alyssa Edwards. She was the only that I was disappointed to see made the list. I also thought that Ben would have been a little higher since so many people were upset to see her eliminated as early as she was.

On rewatch, I stand by the above. And I was struck by how blurry season 1 was—like the cliché of smearing Vaseline on the lens to make a diva look younger.
