Crossover viewing question for Canadian viewers: As I don’t think any of the shows are on the main CTV channels (and I don’t get the CW channels), is the schedule effectively Flash on Netflix (whenever the new show is added to the site), Arrow on Space (Regular Monday schedule) and Supergirl on Showtime or on demand (probably a week-ish after it is shown in the US)?

I remember someone pointing out that the crossover usually get's the same ratings as the highest rated show, which is the Flash.  I think that's the ratings the Flash has been getting recently so I'm not completely surprised at those ratings.

I think it was Quarks last season and, yeah it's pretty much the pattern, although it usually hits Flash's high range.  Of course this season, Flash's range is pretty much 0.6-0.7 so it's a bit low, especially since Flash's 100th did get a 0.7 last week.

Personally, i think their return on investment for these big crossover events has dropped to the point that it's not really worth it but, I don't run CW/WB.

Per Spotted Ratings, the ratings for last season’s crossover were:

  • Supergirl (Part 1): 0.877, 2.713 million.
  • Arrow (Part 2): 0.852, 2.521 million.
  • The Flash (Part 3): 0.963, 2.815 million.
  • Legends (Part 4): 0.914, 2.797 million.

And yes, that’s pretty close to what Flash was doing during the fall last year.

I'm sure it will do very well on apps, Live+7, other streaming etc but the raw numbers don't surprise me. This far in people either watch the Arrowverse or they don't and a "big kooky spectacle" is only going to go so far. Especially as even people who only watch one complain about having to learn/catch up with what's going on with the others. New viewers interested in Batwoman? Not yet it seems and TH's Supes has been on Supergirl a handful of times.

Who was expecting that, when compared to the ratings for Night 1.

I'm going to attribute it to Felicity showing up. IDC, IDC. I guess Batwoman could've been a draw too. LOL.

I don't think it has anything to do with Felicity to be honest ! Flash episode was shown Sunday which is a much more competitive day than Monday.

However Batwoman introduction might have been a draw.

My bad. Apparently, this was the real reason for the higher ratings.

Ordinarily, I pay Carina no attention at all. But this got RT into my timeline and it's worth all the cackles.

I know they're joking but considering the "performance" and the nepotism behind it, it was probably best to let this one fade into obscurity rather than draw attention to it.

Yes, but both Sunday and Monday adjusted up, so last night might too.

Also, Arrow getting better ratings than Supergirl in the demo while having less overall viewers has been par for the course this season, actually.

Which I'm guessing is because Supergirl (and Flash) tend to draw in a younger (12-17) audience

Hark the CW accountants sing -

"We don't care about ratings!

We get revenues from other places

So for now, all is aces!

If digital sales suddenly die,

then sure, prepare to say goodbye -

We need those international licenses too,

Why we love those tweets from you.

But as far as ratings go -

We're more worried about Oliver's bow."
