Well, see pretty much all of season 4 (especially in Morocco and at the reunion), Aviva vs Sonja and Ramona in St. Barts, Ramona vs Kristen at the lake, Aviva vs Carole, Aviva's leg tossing...none of which Bethenny was involved in.

Is it really so difficult to not find human dumpster fires for these shows?

Sadly, what was supposed to be a series about the 0.1% housewives of America with parties, vacations and real estate porn has descended into shrieking, vile fighting, table flipping, hair pulling and all the rest.

The latter sells.

So they look for dumpster fires that can bring the drama.  That’s the niche.

Now that they no longer have to accommodate Bethenny's custody schedule, can we get production to schedule the cast trip for right now or early October. Below Deck: Med is filming now in Spain. I would love to have these NY hosebeasts be the final charter of the season.

It's actually kind of strange that they haven't taken a cast trip to Europe considering that a number of them lived there and Sonja spends 2 months in France every year. They could go to Monaco and visit Sonja's former lover.

Macau would be great too.

That would be fantastic! Sonja and Ramona would be all over those deck men. I can imagine Hanna unpacking Ramona's suitcases.

I would also love to see Captain Lee's and Kate's reactions to the ladies on the original Below Deck.

Any RHNY / Below Deck crossover would be a dream show for me. I'd like to see their preference sheets.

She wouldn’t she would have the third stew do it.

Most of the cast did go to London on Heather’s trip except for Aviva because of anxiety and Ramona because of her Ramonaness.

Is anyone reading Candace Bushnell’s new book “Is there still sex in the city?”

Ive never read her stuff but this is a memoir and heard there were story’s about some of HWs since she is friends with many. The names are changed but Carole’s meeting Adam at Luanne’s house is in there. I’m just wondering if anyone knows who the real names are behind any of the characters.

I finished it last night. It was interesting but made me feel a bit sad. What did you think of the book?

As for Leah, she's a good writer sometimes. I thought her piece on Toxic Femininity was great. But as someone familiar with her work I think she'd be more of an odd cast member than Barbara. At least Barbara had real friendships with some of the woman. And as a Tinsley fan, I've never seen her associate with Leah until recently. Leah seems a very odd choice. But maybe they want someone strongly opinionated and willing to argue to fill the Bethenny void? I'm in the minority that doesn't want drama. I want to see luxury, silliness and fun.

Me too. My favorite moments of every franchise is when the women are just being silly and having fun.

I don't mind the drama as long as it's mixed in with the other stuff. I think only the first season was mostly drama free, but even then, there were a few dramatic spats thrown in here and there.

True, but I’d like the proportions reversed. More gawking, less ear-covering.

Why can't Bravo cut to the chase and just do a HW of Palm Beach?...all the rich, drunk, crazy ex-wives evidently live there or want to live there.

They can't do a Real Housewives of Palm Beach. Palm Beach is too small, too restrictive, too rich, and too insular. Palm Beach has 9,000 residents. Palm Beach is also tiny. It's 4 square miles. Substantial parts of Palm Beach lack sidewalks because residents fear that sidewalks will invite criminals and strangers.

Public sidewalks are the last refuge of a production that cannot find locations to film. This means that if they cannot find anywhere else to film, filming is going to be limited to their homes, the 2 public beaches, the sidewalks of Worth Ave., and the 2 or 3 pedestrian trails.

https://www.palmbeachdailynews.com/news/local/beach-access-palm-beach-remains-source-confusion/m7HWZZuN86Hn3qx4mTRUyI/

There are 15 women have been Real Housewives of New York and they still have problems finding women to cast across a massive metro region with millions of people. The Upper East Side has 125,000 residents. Manhattan has 1.6 million residents. The entire metro region has 20 million residents and they still end up casting a number of duds. They also continue to have issues finding places to film.

Potomac had problems casting. Potomac has 45,000 residents and they only managed to cast 2 women who actually lived in the area.

We'd be lucky if we got 1 woman who lived in Palm Beach proper. People keep clamoring for a Palm Beach franchise without considering the nightmare logistics of the town. A Palm Beach franchise would cast and be filmed almost exclusively in West Palm Beach and other parts of Palm Beach county.

I've never actually heard anyone mention this before. Logistics or not, it would be a killer show.

It's come up a couple of times here since Tinsley clocked Luann about Palm Beach vs West Palm Beach. It probably comes up once every 6 weeks on Reddit. And nearly every recap of RHoNY has one or two readers who bring up in the comments wanting a Palm Beach franchise a couple of times every season. It's addressed frequently enough that my response above is 90% of one of my earlier comments.

The funny thing is that the precise thing that kicked off the desire for a Palm Beach franchise is the thing that kind of torpedos it too. The statement is often accompanied by a statement about not including anyone from West Palm Beach.

Right, the Palm Beach vs West Palm Beach brouhaha. Meanwhile in BH, how many of them actually live in BH proper?

I was listening to some podcast where they talked about how LVP and Maloof didn't even live in Beverly Hills proper. They had the Beverly Hills zipcode and used the Beverly Hills post office, which is desirable, but they were actually outside the city limits of Beverly Hills. The rest lived in the other parts of the "platinum triangle"  (Bel Air and Holmby Hills) and Brentwood. Camille was in Malibu.

They lived in Beverley Park when the show started, Villa Rosa is in BH.

So is that considered part of BH?

Villa Rosa is in Beverly Crest which borders Beverly Hills.

In regards to Palm Beach. I hope the ladies fly down so we can see the rinky dink 2 bedroom condo Dale has that houses Tinsley, Dabney and Dale

Just now, HunterHunted said:

Beverly Park isn't part of Beverly Hills.

Both Beverly Park and Beverly Crest are north of Beverly Hills.

Beverly Crest is a little bit closer.

In terms of the NY show - Tinsley does not even live in NY - talk about living in the wrong zip code. She lives in Palm Beach with her mother - that's why her dog was in PB most of the time.

The Platinum Triangle is basically RHoBH. If I wanted a new franchise, I'd stick to Chicago or Houston. If I wanted a revival, I'd push for Miami and Ladies of London.

If I wanted something entirely new, I would push for something that showcases the Billionaires' Playgrounds--the events, hotspots, and vacation locations where billionaires like to spend their free time. This would be places like Monaco (Formula One Grand Prix and Yacht show), Art Basel (Miami, Switzerland, and Hong Kong), Serpentine in London, Royal Ascot Races, Kentucky Derby, Polo matches, Cannes, Sundance, the Venice Film Festival, La Scala theater opening night, Wimbledon, and fashion week.

You could go one of two ways: cast rich well known women like the Carolines (Fleming and Stanbury) or you follow a couple of Luxury Concierges as they work to get the ungettable for clients all over the globe. It's always hard to find women of note to cast. However, it's often much easier to cast service businesses and service people.

The luxury concierge has a client at the Monaco Grand Prix who wants a pair of limited edition Air Jordans from Japan, Momofuku's fried chicken, caviar, and spring onion pancakes, and a Jeni's ice cream sundae bar. Or a client who wants to close down the Piazza Navona, arrange a flash mob to accompany him and Bruno Mars as he proposes to his girlfriend, and his favorite Texas Barbecue joint caters. Most clients would want anonymity. I think they could still pull it off if they only used client ID numbers for big time clients. Additionally, there are always wannabes who would love to be featured as the type of people who could afford these types of services. The show could be structured a little like Below Deck where production covers half the fee.

Bermuda Triangle could be more interesting.  Tired of 'em after a couple of weeks?  No problem...  😈

This sounds like a Housewives show with Ursula the sea witch, Maleficent, the Bride of Frankenstein, Elvira, Carlton, Sofia Boutella's Mummy, Medusa, Echidna, Grendel's mother, and The Real Grouches of Sesame Street. Amelia Earhart could be their one normal one.

I'd like to see another Washington DC franchise emerge, especially in the current political climate.   They could cast some former White House staffers.

I say this as someone who used to be a legislative staffer, no staffer or insider in their right mind would ever participate in a Real Housewives of DC. That would be a deathknell on their career.

Cellphones that could take pictures have existed for almost 20 years. We've ALL seen our members doing or saying some mess or something stupid. And while there have been some political scandals that have been revealed through pictures and video during the last 20 years, there should be a lot more. Monica Lewinsky is a cautionary tale. Go ahead and out your member's shit if you never want to work in, on, or around politics again. The members would never consent to their offices and work being filmed. The staffer would be fired and blacklisted if the legislators ever got wind that the staffer was filming. No lobbyist would ever get another client. Anthony Weiner worked for a lobbying firm after his scandal and failed mayoral run. He apparently did really good work. When the firm's clients found out, they had to fire him. That's the reason there will never be a RHoDC with insiders.

I have less than 0 interest in Vanderpump Dogs. I have negative interest in Vanderpump Dogs, which certainly was not helped by the messy twins, Johns Sessa and Blizzard.

Also, unlike many of her co-stars of the same age, she can actually still move her face.

Eileen is absolutely stunning, her mere existence on the show was a thorn on LVP's ass. There goes the myth LVP of claiming she is 58 for the last 5 years. LVP is way older than Eileen. She's like the off brand Zsa Zsa Gabor.

Both Eileen and LVP wanted to be actresses at an early age. Both took care of their skin and bodies. Neither were sun worshippers and both had one child. LVP should if she were "58" be in better shape and have better skin.

Look at Eileen and how toned her arms are and compare that to LVP and her liver spots.

Team Eileen!

I agree about White House staffers not wanting to appear on a HW franchise although there might be an exception or two.   I don't know if Monica Lewinski is making the kind of money she could from Bravo.  And the one ex-White House staffer that comes to mind is Omarosa Manigault.

I think the article is "click bait"

If there truly is a "Real Housewife" spinoff - and they aren't sure if it's a one off or series - I could see them having a show called "On Tour With The Countess" especially if Bravo is one of the shows investors. They are going to protect their asset and make more money off of it while they can.

I do believe Bravo is going to "revamp" Vanderpump Rules soon. Most of the cast are buying houses, most of them don't even work at SUR other than when they are pretending to while filming. You can't be buying a million dollar house on a waitress or bartender salary. Production needs to re-cast VPR and do a spin off - that follows the original SUR workers - and what they actually do for revenue. They want LVP out since she tried to throw her weight around when she "threatened" to take VPR to another network and LVP doesn't own the show.

The original VPR worked because this group were really "friends". Vegas won't get a spin off - the place is dead and it won't work with a group of strangers.

There is also no interest in VPD as much as LVP may want it. LVP would have the same amount of luck as she has had trying to make Pandora and Max happen.
