S09.E18: Amy's Nashville Dreams

I hope that was the last Amy special that TLC produces.  I didn't last long watching American Idol and at least there I didn't have to listen to the same non-professional pitchy singer for 42 minutes.  No, I wouldn't let Amy sing at my wedding.  She's an attention seeker and show off.  She covers it with trying to act I'm so cute and bubbly.  At 28, it's time to grow up and give up acting like an attention starved seven year old.

Amy, Amy. She is a woman of 28 years old and she "plays with Joy", who just turned 17...come on, she's been an adult for 10 years now. Time to leave childish things behind, Amy, and train to do some real work..a honest to goodness 9-5 J.O.B., with health benefits. She's just hanging around wasting her own life. No gentleman nearing 30 will consider her either.

Is any female related to Jim Bob allowed to get jobs?[snip]

I'm all seriousness though, Amy needs to get her life together, maybe set an example for joyless and the leftover duggars.

She could do voice/sound overs for porno films.

I met someone at a Thanksgiving party who is mid-80s, on a senior dating site where she meets and dates men.  So I put it in google and up pops quite a few of those sites PLUS a couple devoted to Sugar Seniors.  Now that's the deal for Amy.  Be the sugar for some older wealthy guy.  You get all kinds of free stuff, and oddly, usually sex is not a component.  She'd be great.  Happy, bubbly, outgoing, ez on the eyes, not a complete nincompoop like her cousins.

Very apt point about the name. I've always wondered why in the hell she's a Duggar - is there a story here I'm not aware of? I must admit I've skipped past episodes in which Amy was featured because she drove me nuts with her always-on personality.  Upbeat is one thing. S****** is quite another.

Her Mom's last name was Duggar when she had Amy. Perhaps she chose to put that on the birth certificate since Amy's father hadn't married her. Legally, she can use any name so long as she's not trying to deceive anyone.

Break out your tinfoil dresses girls. Famy has a new man that was pictured with the Duggars for Christmas Eve. I have a good feeling about this one. (possible Very Special Duggar Wedding in our future) He is tweeting about how wonderful she is blah, blah, blah this time she has a stalker vs her being a stalker. Yep this might be the one!

What about her all important country music career that she was quite willing to move to Nashville to pursue just a short time ago? Shows me how dedicated to that she is. So, she's ready to possibly "marry up" asap and have some poor guy support her just like her Duggar cousins? She's never had a real job either and she's 28 and ready to sign up and be a stay at home wife? Anyone know how long she's seeing this new guy, anything about who he is? I wonder if Jim Bob had to approve him and totally disrespect her own parents in the process?

Who is everyone? Did she get to date like normal women? I hope so. Am confused as to why some think Amy is stalkerish, did I miss something?

I can't answer about the stalkerish tendencies - I only follow Amy on Instagram and she just seems so over-the-top in general I don't have a clue what she's like besides exhausting - but yes, she dates, and kisses the boys she dates!

Amy went by Jordan, her father's name, until the Duggar show took off and then she began using Duggar all while saying she wasn't trading on her name.

 

Amy has a reputation for being clingy because she appears to fall in love easily (at least from what she shares on social media).  She appears ready to get married very quickly and her clinginess/desperation/whatever seems to scare off many of the guys.
