I find it interesting that Cynthia is talking crap about Nene and about Porsha but she won't confront the person who probably will rob her blind, Peter.

 

I feel for Kandi. She desperately wants to make her Mother happy and thinks when that happens there will be peace. I don't think there's anything wrong with taking care of your family if you're of financial means. Goodbye Todd with your concern over how Kandi is spending the money she's earned the past 20 years. You certainly don't mind it when she buys you expense gifts for your birthday. However, Kandi, in my opinion, was a battered child. People keep expecting Kandi to set boundaries with her Mother and get frustrated when she doesn't. She doesn't have the tools or even recognize that there's a serious problem in their relationship. She brushes off concerns and makes excuses for the mistreatment much like women who are being abused by their husbands or boyfriends.

 

 

I feel differently about Kandi.  I wouldn't be surprised if Kandi was raised by a single mother, which of itself isn't bad, but I also think that was all she saw growing up, single mothers raising children.  Maybe she was never exposed to couples because it seems that she doesn't understand what partners do.  There's nothing wrong with Kandi buying her husband expensive gifts, he is her husband.  Her primary relationship is with him, not her mother.  Kandi needs to tell Todd that he is her husband, he is who she has chosen to share her life with.  She will always love and do things for her mother, but Joyce has no right coming between Kandi and Todd.

I agree.  He actually has some almost ugly features that come together in the right way.  His nose has a slight hook to it and he has beady eyes even if they are large and sparkle.  His body is okay but its got the same "got nothing else to do and I have no imagination so I go lift....because it makes me feel I'm hot" . And I thought that when he was still a "former felon" not a "current felon".

 

Buuuuut.  Look at Phaedra's budget.  I think for what she got exactly what she paid for.

 

Well, according the Kenya's friend, Claudia, he will have amazing abs in about 8 years.....

She was living in the guest house that is attached to the home she's in now? The previous place she lived and worked in was the ranch-style house that her mom has now. Right? I thought she moved from the ranch house to the big mansion. But I could be wrong.

At any rate, Kandi having the key and them going over there at night just strikes me as a house she's rented just for the show and MJ's storyline.

 

Maybe a "lease to own" agreement??  Isn't that what some of the other housewives claimed to have had?  And, seriously, even doing that is too much for Mama Joyce, in my opinion.  Mama Joyce is the one who is going to spend all her daughter's money - not any husband that Kandi could possibly have!!!

Also, did anyone else notice that MJ was driving an Audi SUV?  Very expensive car, there....I wonder who's paying for that??

If I remember correctly, Kandi said in her first season that she had a really nice step dad when she was growing up.  She even wrote a song in his honor.  I'm not sure if he died or if he and Joyce divorced, but she was exposed to having a father figure growing up even though she didn't have much of a relationship with her biological father Titus, who I think stayed away because of Joyce's crazy family.

When that scene came on and Kandi started talking about she was buying her mother a house because she didn't like Kandi's "old" house, I felt the heat swelling in my chest. I know, I know it's not my money, and yet, I was getting mad! Then when they threw up the stats, I was boiling! And yet, still not my money, so WTF? Ultimately I realized it's because I hate to see such evilness rewarded. And why the fuck does she need 7 bedrooms, a basketball court and a pool -- except to fucking swan around and floss - on Kandi's money? Of COURSE she loved the damned house Kandi. It's close enough to bug your husband AND way over the fucking top, in the manner to which she wants to become accustomed (to.) By the time Kandi almost defiantly interviewed that YES, she was buying her mama a house and what of it I pulled myself and my righteous anger right the hell out of her business. Vaya con dios, dumbass!

 

 

Yeah, no matter what, it's always Kenya's fault. It's her fault her arm was grabbed, it's her fault she was attacked by Porsha. None of these people had to ability to control themselves so they're off the hook for their reactions. Mmmkay.

 

One problem with blaming all this on the original comment of "stop texting me, then," - it wasn't a lie. He did text her. The fact that people want to conflate a one-off comment about "would you have a 3-way" and a pushing a man in the pool means "stop texting me" naturally insinuates that something extra was going on, is really reaching. Kenya handed the phone over, so Andy could read it for himself. She never said Apollo wanted to get with her.

 

The bottom line is no matter what, ONLY APOLLO FLAT OUT LIED. Didn't hint, insinuate, none of that. He lied. Lied about what happened, lied about what she supposedly said, let his wife sit there and call her a string of whores BASED ON THAT LIE and didn't blink. Apollo is a fucking sociopath. Phaedra should have turned that little rehearsed read on herself, because she's the one who ended up with the damaged sperm donor.

 

If it was so truly satisfying to me to hear him admit it, I can only imagine how gratifying it was for Kenya. The looks on everyone's faces as they realized they had accused her of all types of whoredom based on his lying ass was the whipped cream and cherry on the top. Delicious.

I know exactly what you mean!!! Watching that shit with Kandi and her mom raised my blood pressure!  Why the hell does Kandi owe fucky fuck another house!!!! Her mom is sooo evil and CRAZY!!!! I give Kandi's marriage a couple years...tops.   And Apollo and Phaedra. Didn't Apollo and Phaedra get married because she got pregnant? I still want to now how the two met.

You are correct. Kandi lived in the ranch until she and Todd got together. MJ found an estate for Kandi to purchase that had two homes on the property.MJ's master plan was Kandi and Todd to live in the big house and for her to move into the smaller home. After Kandi and Todd moved in, Todd said no to MJ moving in. That's why Kandi gave her the ranch house (that she renovated but didn't move into) That's where MJ's hatred of Todd started IMO.

I thought it was the ranchhouse that had a guesthouse and when she bought the bigger house she gave Mama Joyce the ranchhouse (with guest house).

Thank You!!!  I'm glad I'm not the only one who doesn't think on the lines that Phaedra married Apollo just to have pretty babies.  And even if she did want pretty babies, so what?  Should she have wanted ugly babies?  We marry who we are attracted to.  I think Phaedra did love Apollo.  Her mistake was in thinking she could change him.  Just like a lot of us, she let her heart speak to her louder than her head.  I don't hold anything against her for falling in love with someone who turned out to be a mook!  Lord knows she's not the only one.

Let's be clear, now! I conceded at the start that I'm no model (and no one will mistake me for one.) And I think Cynthia is generally a stunning woman (she's fallen off this year, sadly.) Especially when she's away from Peter and shooting in her element in NYC or with Leon. Mmm, Leon.

I was speaking specifically to all the hype about her looking so great for 47 and comparing my own genes to that one aspect.  Especially considering she uses Botox.

Never understood lying about one's age, except in the other direction. I copy my mom and round up. Better to have someone marvel at how well you have maintained yourself than smile and walk away whispering that they thought you were younger.

 

Maybe I'm jaded by drone photography of BHRH real estate - but those lingering shots of the Rent-To-Own foam furnishings in Joyce's new sports-compound looked like Craigslist (though what we did see of the actual house was Early Residence Inn). Perhaps the cameraman comes from the porn industry where his last job was going down to shoot couches and beds.

But 7 rooms and basketball sounds about right. How ingenious of Kandi to give Mama Joyce no reason to ever leave her house. HAH!

I'm happy for Kenya. I was on her side when the rest of the women were bashing her. Also, my last name is Moore so I didn't like that whole Moore Wh0re business....

Fakedra annoys me to no end to the point where I fast-forward through the scenes that are just about her (Porsha is a close second on my isht list but I can't deny that she's a beautiful girl so it's not so intolerable to watch her). It's ridiculous how Fakedra tries to act as if she married a wholesome upstanding man who turned out to be a criminal and ruined her family. NO, she married a CRIMINAL in a SHOT-GUN wedding after getting knocked up by him. Then, she continued to procreate with this man and CHOSE him to be the man of her household and the father of her children. Now that he's going back to jail for doing the same sort of nonsense he was doing when she met him (likely while poorly practicing law) she wants to play the victim. Ridic.

I can't believe some of you are fooled by Fakedra's southern bell act. I have no problem with a woman wanting to carry herself a certain way in public but the problem with Fakedra is that she just can't pull it off. She is extremely transparent it's always so obvious that she's fronting. A real southern bell never lets anyone see her sweat. With Fakedra, her true thoughts are always written all over her unbecomingly-scrunched-up face. She's so determined to keep it classy, she ends up just keeping it silent (choosing instead to allow those hideous facial expressions to speak for her). Given that she's a lawyer, I would expect her to be much better at finding the words to express herself in a classy way. On the other hand, given that the law is clearly not her forte, I guess I shouldn't be surprised...
