Yes, soy sauce is to avoided by those with celiac.

Now, this is mostly OT, but a little on topic since there was a gluten free component to the challenge.

 

But...for my gluten free friends: I've lately been really into having bread with an addictive fig spread that I've found.   Since I've become gluten free I never really had much interest in bread, but this fig spread.....well anyways, I've been buying Udi's white bread, which is fine, but its a little spendy at $5 for a smallish loaf.

 

Have any of you made your own gluten free bread?  If so, was it less expensive?  Was the difficulty worth the expense?  Was it delicious enough to justify the risk? Can you tell me a little about your experience if you've tried it?
