Current Plots Discussion: Actually Today's Episode

I don't know who was more annoying today - Allie or Sonny. I'm gonna say Sonny. I was really put off by how he told Sami that she let down her grandchild because they told Ari she'd be getting a baby brother and now she's not. They're the dumbasses who told Ari she was getting a brother before the adoption papers were signed! That's on both of you for jumping the gun.

And my goodness, everyone acting like Sami is the worst person ever for...checks notes...having a conversation with Rafe. Back in my day, Sami was doing legitimately awful things like raping Austin, lying about who Will's father was, pretending to be paralyzed, and probably a million other things I've forgotten at this point. So when Allie and Nicole and Sonny go on about how terrible it was that Sami talked to Rafe, I'm just like, "Oh my God, who the hell cares?!"

its especially annoying from Nicole who STOLE A BABY!   To say nothing of her other crimes. St. Nicole sucks.

Thanks, is she dead?

I dont think Gabrielle died, just crawled out of town after a failed attempt to break up Shane and Kim. She was a retcon of sorts after they brought on teenage Eve and cast her to look just like Shane's first wife Emma then changed courses to do a triangle nobody wanted.

Chloe!  How nice it was to see her.  I felt bad for her, though, sitting with that group.  Claire was okay, as was Shawn, but if she thinks it's depressing to spend time with Eve, she better hope she never gets locked in an elevator with Ciara.  It hurts to even imagine it.

I think Eve made a big mistake with her plans for Ollie.  Instead of conditioning him to kill Ciara, it would have been more effective if, every time he and Ciara started to make love, that he was conditioned to start squawking like a chicken and flapping his arms.  To make it worse, every time he sees Hope, he could be conditioned to try and lay an egg.  Oh!  Best of all, condition him to start feeling the heat for Julie.  That could have snapped Ciara out of her delusion quick enough.

Maybe make him talk like Alvin and the Chipmunks? Tattoo his manly torso with hundreds of tiny My Little Pony horsies?   So many possibilities.......

As for torture, that's how I feel about Allie in general and this stupid baby adoption b.s. in particular.  It's all complete FF material for me.  Whoever ends up with the kid is probably going to forget him in a shopping cart at Piggly Wiggly anyway.

And who knew you could brainwash someone in just 24 hours? That creates more opportunities!  Eve could start a brainwashing/torture chamber assembly line.  Next up:  St. Nicole!

As ironic as this is to post I think social media/internet played a role in ruining the soap opera genre. I mean this was the norm on soaps back in the day but there was also a moral compass back then and far more balance when it came to characters, writing etc.  Now people can instantly react to storylines and if a pairing is a hit soaps tend to be afraid to break them up and have them be apart for years or have characters do bad things and pay for them because of the instant reaction.

I think soaps were better back then but they also had terrible storylines and things that didn't age well in retrospect but back then those shows had characters that weren't so one dimensional either which made a lot of these storylines better than they were.

The Show has gotten so kinky with all of the sadomasochistic underwear model porn.  I was going to ask if the CIN fans are enjoying this but it sounds like they're throwing things at television scene, which is now called posting on Twitter.

Sometimes I feel bad for RSW when he tries so hard to act his scenes, and other times it makes me chuckle.

KdP gave me goosebumps when she screamed that she'll suffer forever over the loss of her daughter.

I was impressed that Sami maintained her composure while Sonny went off on her for what seemed like an eternity, because I would have smacked him around with some snark if I'd have been in her shoes.

Not going to lie, I'd pay to watch that version of Days. I would also add that every time he and Ciara started to make love he not only squawk like a chicken, he also can't get it up. Unless he is looking at a photo of Julie.

Yeah I am not enjoying Nicole Kravitz at all. I prefer bad girl Nicole. Heck she stole a baby and I was actually on her side! I liked EJ and Nicole far more than EJ and Sami. But then again, I've never understood the appeal of Sami. So it might just be me.

Like most of you, I am over this Allie storyline. I'm supposed to believe she's a college graduate?!? She acts like she's 12.

I'm not a huge fan of this version of Eve but I'm all for her torturing Ben. And sorry but he certainly did murder Will. Just because they retconned a mad scientist bringing him back to life doesn't mean he wasn't murdered first. Ben faced no consequences for those murders. Although being married to Ciara just might be some kind of punishment ...

I also felt bad for Eve's missing Paige and the pain within that will never heal.

The brainwashing went on a little too long.  Maybe imply it. Perhaps it was fun for the actors.

Sonny really jumped the gun on the adoption and now has to save face and lick his wounds. For most people looking to adopt, a kid just doesn't fall in to their laps. Too easy. Allie, although acting like a child herself, has the right to make her own choices as to who will adopt her child. She may even change her mind. Or the baby daddy will come to town and throw a wrench in to any adoption plans. I don't even get Sami's point any more. All she has done is scream at people since she got to town.

Did like Chloe's exposition about the many faces of Eve and this Vincent person. Dr. Rolf has a new and younger protege who can keep brainwashing Salem for years to come! She was really out of place with the younger set.

Right???  KdP is such an amazing actress. I don't like anyone imparting harm on anyone, ever, and yet I felt her pain and understood her crazy actions here.

I would also like to point out that there is an entire movie genre dedicated to revenge. It is mostly male leading men who are avenging their families' deaths. I don't like those movies either, but this is not the first time Days viewers have seen this.

Never said you're not supposed to care. I care that Rob has to film the overplayed torture scenes. I just don't particularly enjoy it or want to see it repeatedly...day after day! Big difference.

But, he did murder him.  It's not like this was a case of he shot him and surgeons saved him. Will was dead.  A mad scientist brought him back to life.

Since the original quote only mentioned Ben getting a pass for murdering Will, let's isolate that only. What would happen if Ben went to prison for murdering Will, and then Salem PD finds out Will is alive & well? Remember, we're just talking about Will's murder now. Do the police let Ben go? Or is Ben held prisoner even though his victim is perfectly healthy...and actually is now the prisoner's best friend?!

I don't know.  I don't think there's any legal precedent for people brought back from the dead days after they died.  Because it's impossible.

Same. Like, I can admire that he really does seem to be trying and I feel bad that he is having to do this and that he's very bad at it but also it's UCG watching him try so!

He did go to jail and/or the mental hospital, I don't remember which, for like 2 years or something. Honestly, it really is more consequences than some. Mainly Abigail lol. Also, he's totally good now so it doesn't matter anymore!

*post hospital argument* Sonny, in his closet: Was this dark blue sport coat the right one to properly take Sami to task? Perhaps a more muted green would have been better? The right sport coat really brings out the non-nonsensical arguments and makes them pop!

He would have still been guilty of attempted murder.  So even if his murder conviction was overturned, he'd probably stay in jail awaiting an attempted murder trial.

Sami did not just talk to Rafe, which would have been quite acceptable; she went further and she was... (I am looking for a relatively polite euphemism here) very "forceful" to say the least, practically ordering him to refuse Allie's offer. But it seems that the writer (and perhaps the actress) have a very one-note view for the character's behavior. Also, why does everyone assume that Rafe submitted to Sami's will; it is as if he has a reputation of being a putz and having no spine or will of his own. On the other hand, one must admit that in Salem, most people do meekly give in to Sami's bluster and pressure tactics.  She had every right to express her opinion to Rafe, she just did it in her usual misguided way.

Good for Sonny then: he is one of the very few characters who has had the courage and common sense to push back on Sami. He did it bluntly and expressed excellent points, but with none of the personal hostility that others like Nicole manifest when they do the same.

However the writing was inconsistent for him; he concluded his argument with Sami by saying they will respect Allie's choice, leaving open the possibility she might change her mind, but then going into the latter's room just a few minutes later he was blathering on about how honored they are about being chosen, oblivious to what he had just said. Don't the writers review what they have just written for the preceding scene with a character?

It's distateful to see Allie playing beach volleyball with her baby, throwing him from one prospective parent to another. Although on DOOL babies are often commodities used as weapons in conflicts and feuds, or to bolster the spirits of generally fragile women characters who are almost always written as emotionally overdependent on their reproductive abilities, like the instant-baby scheme Xander came up with for Sarah after the truth came out. Allie's view of her son as a "replacement" for Rafe losing David also fits the bill.

KDP must have felt quite full after all the hammy scenery chewing she has been doing over the last few episodes. No wonder Eve had to change out of her tight red dress; she probably was bursting at the seams.

Exactly as @MsTree says. Some people do take these soap characters very personally, others have a more detached view of them simply as fictional creatures. Expressing that sentiment cannot be interpreted as a diktat for everyone to do the same. Both approaches (as well as others) can coexist peacefully, and even productively.

So, we lost power at the old homestead yesterday because of a stupid tropical storm, so imagine my surprise when I tuned in and saw Ben being rescued by Ciara and Hope--DAMN!!  I was enjoying watching Eve get her revenge--I will have to watch yesterdays episode on demand.  I did however enjoy Hope pulling some old school kung fu on Vincent--that was awesome--but of course the mad scientist escaped.  Dr. Rolf taught him all of his tricks 🙂

I really hate Allie and how she's taking the baby away from Sonny and Will because she's mad at Sami.  Yes, I can understand being shocked that her brother went along with her mom's plan, but there was no call for the extremely childish name-calling.  Will didn't plot and he didn't pretend concern for her--Allie needs to dial back the "me me Horton" drama she's so fond of and actually act like the adult woman she's supposed to be.

Yup, EVERYONE is saying to Rafe "If Sami hadn't bullied you....." and Rafe just stands there like "I guess I AM too stupid to make up my own mind.  Huh?"  Baby as beach volleyball is the PERFECT description of what Allie is doing.  And yes, Allie pretty much stated that he could have her baby because he couldn't have David.  Like "I KNOW this isn't the kid you wanted, but it's a kid and they're pretty much interchangeable, right?"  At this point, I think she should just put the baby in a box in the lobby with a "Free to Good Home" sign.

I admit, I like Sami, but in this case having a conversation with Rafe was the RIGHT thing to do.  If he can't stand up to a little pressure from her, (and truthfully, that's all it was - a little pressure - there was no blackmail, extortion or whatever) he has no business thinking he can stand the pressure of raising a child.  Leave it to him to royally F everything up.  Sonny can take several seats with the whole "It's all Sami's fault and Will - you are DESPICABLE for not immediately running around town "outing" Sami a la Nicole."   Now, we are going to have to put up with several episodes of everyone telling Sami how horrible she is.  I'm over it.

I'm sorry, but I have to disagree about the Kung Fu.  I literally LOL'ed over that.  And how did Vincent know who he was talking to?  He isn't a very good mad scientist AT ALL.  He should have said that he had gotten word that someone was using his warehouse without authorization and had come to check on it.  When Hope then told he what was going on, he could have told her that he was shocked and would go get help immediately.  Then he could have simply driven away, leaving her to wonder where the ambulances were.

I'm having to write this without my thesauras (just canNOT remember where I left it), so no dictat from me and I'll hold back on the euphemisms, but I do have to say that KDP has been doing an excellent job with some piss poor material.  She manages to get across her devastation from Paige's murder, along with some unspoken guilt at not being the best mother.

Oh, Allie.......try soaking your head in a bucket of your own indignation, it'll do wonders for your hair and it'll do wonders for those of us who would love to never hear your raging self-pity again.

Rafe is dumber than a Thanksgiving turkey.  And just as stuffy.

Yes that bit of jiu-jitsu looked ridiculous and clumsily staged (or was it Venusian aikido, since Hope probably interned on the TARDIS at one point) to make Hope look more physically agile and stronger than KA really is.

Eve and Vincent employ a very efficient and quick-working cleaning crew since every bit of equipment in the torture room has been cleaned out (except for the generic black tie left at the door that Ciara somehow instantly recognized as Ben's). But I suppose having such staff on standby is SOP when you are a mind-warping villain and your "clinic" is housed is what looks like a dingy warehouse (but can still be located using Google Maps).

So the question now is did the treatment take and is Ben a ticking time-bomb? Or will he manage to once again shake the conditioning as he did just before his attempted escape?

It seems that the writers have decided that in the insufferably self-centered arbitrariness stakes, Allie should now be leading Sami by a nose and a half. As for Sonny, although he was a voice of reason yesterday and rightfully put Sami in her place with righteous and well supported anger, today he was Drama Queen of the Day, refusing to hear his husband’s explanation and immediately buying into Allie’s contention that Will was part of a somber plot to manipulate her and bully Rafe, then telling Will to stay away from him. On the other hand, this is the behavior expected from straight couples on the show, so I guess it is a blow in favor of diversity and representation that the gay couple can behave as ridiculously as the hetero ones.

3 hours ago, DaphneCat said:

Rafe was able to articulate that his decision was made of his own free will when talking to Allie and Sami, but at other times he just takes it silently. The writers can’t make up their mind about him.

One thing Steve appears to have learned from his trip to civilized Canada is the need to take regular showers. For a long time after his Stefano phase he looked quite unkempt and rather smelly.

So Bonnie’s publisher decided in the middle of her book tour that that it was not selling well enough? They usually wait at the end to assess the overall results, but this is all of course a plot expedient to get her and Justin together in some way; her signing in the bookstore 2 or 3 weeks ago seemed well attended enough.

He's done his fair share of grabbing her throat too, which is a very odd choice considering he used to murder people by choking them lol.

I fast forwarded almost all of today's ep. I'm bored. Bring back the wacky Chad/Gabi/Jake/Gwen quad, please!

I believe that's as close as Wilson's likely to get to subtext.

So Eve just ran out of Fs to give, and no longer cares that someone else's daughter might be at risk, as BOllie goes to jail for murdering somebody? Thanks, Eve -- at least I won't have to take you seriously anymore.

I know I asked for Sonny to be given a point of view, but the way the dialogue constantly emphasizes how Allie was going to give Will and Sonny the baby serves to make Ranty Sonny sound entitled and pissy, rather than morally outraged.

Why is everyone awful?

KDP's acting was very grand-guinolesque over the last few days, just as the character's nefarious plan was, so the chance of taking her seriously has dropped into the negative zone.

And so vehemently so, shouting and climbing up the walls at the slightest contradiction.

The way Allie is being written, this poor baby will end up with Auntie Nicole and Uncle Eric. i.e. stuck between a morally constipated judgmental ex-priest and a Sami-hater who probably wont be able to resist using this child as an "agent provocateur" of sorts to needle her old pal. Which the writers probably see as an endless well of dramatic scenes.

My DVR didn't record (or maybe I didn't record?) and it's just as well hearing what happened.

I was already getting dizzy from rolling my eyes at Sonny's "I'm a Kiriakis.  I won't be intimidated by Sami Brady."  Yeah, people aren't intimidated by her.  They just know Sami Brady's gonna do what Sami Brady wants to do.

I think your DVR was actively being kind to you.  Other than the Steve and Kayla scenes, there really wasn't much unless you're invested in Ben and Ciara's heavy breathing and throat grabbing expressions of love, Allie actively making herself more unwatchable by the day and Sonny looking like he was literally going to burst his buttons with rage.  And there was CM with his inappropriate smile - which to his credit, you could see him trying to suppress.

Or maybe he was just trying his damndest not to burst out laughing at how ludicrously awful Show is right now?

Yep, your DVR really had your back today.

My newish DVR doesn't have the same personality as the old one - that liked to skip recording the show some days.

Steve, do you expect Kayla to simply sell her nice condo and move to a new place? Maybe invest in a few cans of paint, hire some painters and change the look, get some new furniture. At least he looks cleaner these days. The beautiful waters at Lake Louise were good for his soul.

Bonnie, surely your lawyer negotiated a deal for you with your book, including any and all riders. The publisher would not send you out on a book tour unless you are expected to make some money. You are not a Michelle Obama or anyone who would bring in a lot of buyers. Now you are making Justin feel sorry for you? Go back to visit Mimi.

Hopefully Hope will arrange for forensics to check out the warehouse for any fingerprints, etc. I'd expect that Eve's and Vincent's cleaning crew wiped it clean. Someone should also check out who this Vincent guy is. Ciara recognized a generic necktie as the one Ben wore to his wedding? Seriously? Instead of the grand plan, couldn't Eve just switch out Ben's meds for a while and that would work, maybe. All that effort to brainwash him to kill someone else? He could probably do it on his own. And where is any backup? Was anyone's phone working to call 911 for an ambulance?

Sonny, you're mad at Will because the two of you put the cart before the horse. Nothing is legal til the papers are signed. Did not like Will's strange smirk. Sami will be Sami. Maybe her mother needs to sit her down and talk with her and tell her to lay off the crap. She's over the age of 40 and maybe she could be a bit calmer. It is her adult daughter's decision to make about what happens to the baby. If the girl does not want it, no amount of convincing and pressure will work. And Allie, shut up. Make your decision, stop the waffling. Rafe is doing everyone a favour by turning down the kid - he will have a lifetime of grief. Your brother was also a bit slick and entitled. The magic wand brings him and Sonny a baby. Not how it work in reality unless they get really lucky, or hire a surrogate. And wait. Why do they need another kid right now?

Yep, your DVR really had your back today.

Thanks.  It's probably more user error as I don't have a series recording set.  I came back when Jack came back and I don't really want to commit to being a "regular" viewer (although I do at least half watch most days) so I set a manual recording for every episode that gets recorded.  And that means, I don't end up recording a-plenty.

There's always On Demand/Peacock but there's nothing like the FF button on a DVR.

After Sonny's trying to guilt Sami about Ari, I REALLY want a scene where Sami comes to try and make it right with her and she admits she never actually wanted a baby brother she was only willing to put up with him because her fathers bribed her with a puppy.  Sami then sends Ari home with the most obnoxious, yappy puppy that only likes Ari and tries to bite everyone else as a way to "make amends."

He's done his fair share of grabbing her throat too, which is a very odd choice considering he used to murder people by choking them lol.

He did it at the wedding when he dipped her for a kiss, and it looked exactly like he was strangling her.

I have been loving KdP and her tour de force!

On an other topic, I am laughing my ass off that the worst thing in the world is that Sami spoke to her ex and said to him: it might not be a good thing to adopt my grand-baby. This was so egregious, St. Nicole had to announce it to everyone, with lapdog Eric saying nothing at all.  He should have said, shut the fuck up, this is my sister your are dragging. Instead, Nicole rolled through town and the hospital to ensure everyone knew. And then Rafe, who is a dim bulb at the best of times, outs Will as a "co-conspirator"!

And Sonny, without even a conversation, lashes out at Will.  I really hope Will kicks him to the curb, but that won't happen I guess.

No one, not Will, Sami or Lucas, did anything wrong.  Have these people ever been in a family before? You know, where everyone has an opinion about everything?

I don't know.  I don't think there's any legal precedent for people brought back from the dead days after they died.  Because it's impossible.

Exactly my point. We're debating impossibilities.

I love your post and I wish that I could like it 1000 times. All this hand wringing over Sami is ridiculous.. This is nothing compared to the shit this girl pulled at just the age of 16. Even Vivian expressed admiration for her ruthlessness and ingenuity..

Kassie is just the best and gives her all.

Just a comment, and I have no horse in this race, but I keep seeing comments that Will was dead and brought back to life. I don't believe that is true. We saw him die, yes.  But the retcon was that Ben had not quite killed him good enough, and Susan and Rolf showed up and took over from there.  At least that is the way I recall it.  And this is what wiki says:

Quote

In 2017, it is revealed that Will (now Chandler Massey) did not die when he was strangled. When Will had entered Ben's apartment, he was being followed by Susan Banks (Eileen Davidson), who was planning to abduct Will in an act of revenge against Sami, whom she blamed for her son EJ's death. When Ben slipped out after strangling Will, Susan and her associate Dr Wilhelm Rolf (who had revived Sami's step-dad John back when he was thought to be dead) secretly entered, and Dr Rolf found Will to be unconscious but breathing. He then injected Will with something that would make him appear to be dead. After Lucas and Sami had viewed Will in the morgue, Dr Rolf (William Utay)[128] revived Will. It turns out that Will's family unwittingly buried an empty coffin at his funeral, and Will, who had lost all his memories, was taken by Susan, who took care of him, but made him believe that he was her son EJ.

The thing is this torture stuff has been done before. People are tweeting Ron "this shouldnt be ok on daytime", "I want MY DOOL back" . Is it hard to watch? Yes. But hell the shit Stefano did to Roman and John back in the 80s and 90s was no less violent than what we saw yesterday.

The most horrific torture scene I had ever seen on this show  had to be when they showed us flashbacks of Steve being a brainwashed DiMera goon during his missing years . EJ was doing all the torturing .

I dont think Gabrielle died, just crawled out of town after a failed attempt to break up Shane and Kim. She was a retcon of sorts after they brought on teenage Eve and cast her to look just like Shane's first wife Emma then changed courses to do a triangle nobody wanted.

Damn that sounds convulated as hell!

Oh, Allie.......try soaking your head in a bucket of your own indignation, it'll do wonders for your hair and it'll do wonders for those of us who would love to never hear your raging self-pity again.

Rafe is dumber than a Thanksgiving turkey.  And just as stuffy.

Ah yes, the singular pleasure of watching Kassie deP work the hell out of her scripts. Redeems so much of any given episode lately. And yes, she can sorta make Clockwork Ollie mildly [nah, maybe not] bearable. I don't want to try to dissect the confused threads or audience-intentions in the visuals of COllie's black boxers o' doom torture scenes, but kudos on the imbrication of the layers, there Ron [whoah, just trying to step up the tone there a bit before getting down to my usual take on things].

Now, on the plus side, Kassie's hair--should have a show on its own. I bow down before it. And Vincent, where did you come from? 'Cause you've got some promise and an interesting face.

Dipping a toe or two into the negatives: the slapstick stuff with Bonnie, her phone, and her inability to read a contract--which looked to be only two pages--have the production people never seen a publisher's contract? Termination of contract for low sales? That's not generally in a rider. Oh gawd, pardon me, I mixed show up with reality for a minute there. A giant negative for me is any scene with Sonny, sorry about that. Don't get righteous here, lad. You won't be able to sell it. And what the hell is hair and makeup doing with Will's hair? Allie, sweetheart, just shut up. Heard the term "overstaying your welcome"?

Randomly, what a lot of cleavage we have on display! Hi, Chloe, you own it as usual. But oh Ciara, do you have any tops that might cruise your collar bone? And while I'm there, could you burn the snake-print pants please? And for the third consecutive day, Sami in a hideous red dress fronting those dinners [don't recall where I got that from, probably Jersey Shore] like prizes in a draw!

In short, so bored that even Steve and Kayla couldn't do it for me.

Maybe as a treat, I can look forward to Zander and Sarah. Yes, I can. Because to invoke the stupid comparison with Clockwork Ollie re moral turpitude, and muddy the waters, Zander/Paul Telfer could BBQ puppies and still be worth a watch and a free ticket to redemption. I guess because he can act.

On the contrary. it shows that Ron and his writing team managed to hit all the right buttons to generate interest and  traffic in  various segments of fandom: for example, the CIN fans can deplore the treatment inflicted to their hero (while secretly savoring the abundance of beefcake), while the CIN haters can rage about all the time devoted to them and especially to him as a martyr, knowing full well things will eventually turn out well for the two newlyweds, even if it takes a few more weeks before the brainwashing subplot gets resolved, until the next bump in the road, something inevitable for soap characters.

And there was CM with his inappropriate smile - which to his credit, you could see him trying to suppress.

Even more distracting to me was Massey's skimpy stubble; either Will lost his razor, suffers from a hormone deficiency or wants to  dispel any impression that Sonny is robbing the cradle. It does make him look like a teen trying to pass as old enough to get into a bar or buy booze in a store.

I did not see them as pressuring Allie, just making the injudicious assumption that the adoption was still on and blathering on obliviously about it; rather inconsistent since Sonny was saying just a few minutes before that they would respect Allie's choice, whatever it is. Of course, their conversation served only as a set-up to another explosion from Allie.

Not to be rude but how would things turn out well for Cin in the long run given that

Spoiler

TPTBs came up with the torture storyline as a result of Victoria Konefal exit? Moreover, she has no intention to come back and they are chem-testing Ben with new Claire and Allie.

Gwen and the angry face she makes whenever she sees a hint that Jake might be interested in Gabi really freaks me out, like she's five minutes from pulling a knife and stabbing Jake, Gabi or even Harold and are we supposed to see Gwen as some kind of good guy who's going to help Chad bring Gabi down because she seems pretty villainous to me.  And Kate can miss with her "Gabi's a schemer" nonsense because Gabi isn't doing anything that Kate hasn't done before and I doubt Kate would have called her own actions scheming.

Steve and Kayla are adorable together but it feels like they are existing in their own bubble and have little interactions when the Brady family.

Don't care one iota about Eli and Lani because they are so unbelievably dull.

Yes.  Kate has absolutely no loyalty.  She routinely trashes Sami and Gabi both (after teaming up with both of them), and was actively involved in the whole Gina and Stevano debacle and yet wants Chad to believe she's trustworthy.

Re Eli and Lani:  About all we have to look forward to with them are endless "amusing" scenes of screaming babies and them trying to haphazardly deal with them.  I'm sick of them before it even starts.
