Fargo In The Media

So, Season 1 aired in 2014, Season 2 aired in 2015 and Season 3 aired in 2017.  We are now in 2020.  lol  It's rather ridiculous.  I get how they want quality cast members, but, there are plenty awesome actors out there. Just pick some and get the project done.  This kind of thing is so insulting to me and I am not amused.

Noah Hawley took a Fargo break to do Legion.

There was no guarantee that there would be a season 4.  After season 3, the creator had other projects and said he'd only make another one if he had a story.

Given that it's an anthology with few, if any, characters showing up in more than one season, I don't mind the breaks.

Sundays?  That will feel a little odd.  According to IMDb, the first 2 episodes air on 4/19 and the last on 6/14.

Looks really good. Hopefully this will be a return to form after the train wreck that was season 3.

I loved a lot of season 3, like the characterizations of Nikki Swango and Gloria Burgle, and Ewan McGregor was unrecognizable in his dual roles. But, yeah, this does look better.

I just watched the first 3 seasons over the last few weeks and after kind of being let down by 3 that looks pretty awesome. Especially Chris Rock and Timothy Olyphant.

Although what was the deal with the lady at the end saying Minnesota was the land of 1,000 lakes. I have never been there but I remember meeting a guy from Minnesota in university. When I called it the land of 1,000 lakes he quickly corrected me that it was 10,000 lakes.

Oh my gosh!  I thought I was the only one who felt that S3 was a TOTAL waste of time and talent!  I purchased S1 and S2 as soon as the DVDs were available.  I won't buy S3.  I was so disappointed.  I think the story line disappointed me more than anything.  The character development in S1 & S2 made you care about what happened to some of the folks.  I just wanted S3 to be over.

Looking forward to S4.  Fargo can only go up from S3.

I am not sure I found it a total waste of time, there were some really great parts although there were some really bad parts that made me enjoy the good parts less. Compared to seasons 1 and 2 where there were some maybe not great parts that I could easily ignore.

Anyway on to season 4 from what I read it's Kansas city gangsters in the 50's right. Which means we could get young Joe Buell, a young Adam Arkin boss guy and a very young Mike Milligan.

I suppose there's a possibility of the show being better than it would have been because they will have more time to reflect on what they've done so far.

Alan Sepinwall answered this by saying that they usually like to film in winter for the winter effect but FX likes to debut it before the Emmy window closes.  I wonder if the delay will be pushed into the next year given the specificity of those conditions.

Is it just about qualifying for the Emmys? Viewers could sure use a good season of Fargo right about now.

I thought I read that the season’s not completed.
I imagine that they wouldn’t want to start airing episodes without knowing when they could finish.

Doubtful.  An article in EW says:

Quote

Fargo has been filming in Chicago for several months, but some episodes were still left to complete when its production shut down last week.

Winter is effectively over in Chicago, and I think they finished location shooting here a while ago, so I doubt they were planning on more outdoor shots of winter.   I understand the series is working out of a studio on the west side.  That's probably where additional production was to take place.

Bummed to hear about the delay, but Fargo will be one more thing to look forward to with gratitude when this is all over!
