mmecorday October 18 Share October 18 I've been seeing a lot of Christmas ads lately. And not just the Balsam Hill ad that's been running for a while. Wayfair is already airing its Christmas commercials and there's one for Crocs with people getting all giddy decorating their ugly wiffle ball shoes. 1 1 Link to comment
Palimelon October 18 Share October 18 Gotta love how Halloween isn't even done and Christmas is being advertised. In a decade or so we'll probably start seeing Christmas commercials on July 5th. 1 4 Link to comment

Prevailing Wind October 19 Share October 19 I keep seeing this creepy doll, "Baby Alive." Doesn't mention Xmas, but why else advertise a doll nobody in their right mind would want? 1 Link to comment

In other words, no money to be made, so it is on to Christmas straight from Halloween, only they aren't even waiting for Halloween to be over!! Fortunately(???), this year, we also have the political ads and the ever present Medicare supplement ads to dilute the Christmas pool some for a while.... 1 2 Link to comment
Palimelon October 20 Share October 20 (edited) Maybe, but Thanksgiving commercials were a thing back in the day. Not sure if they still are, since when I watch non-streaming TV, commercials for me are for toilet breaks, running to the kitchen, replying back on whatsapp, etc. Granted, even before Thanksgiving, Christmas commercials would creep in anyway lol Edited October 20 by Palimelon 4 Link to comment
Haleth October 21 Share October 21 I'd take year round Christmas commercials if the political ads would go away. 8 4 Link to comment

mmecorday November 4 Share November 4 I saw very few Halloween commercials this year. Christmas is refusing to stay in its lane this year. 9 1 Link to comment

Other than the Reese's Kit Kat trick or treating commercial people seem to hate, but I think is funny, I did see the Geico chain saw ad, but it was after Halloween. As for Christmas, let's blame it on Hallmark. They start airing their treacly sweet Christmas movies 24/7 in October. 1 Link to comment
DXD526 November 4 Share November 4 A local radio station has already switched to all Christmas music. They did this on Friday, so at least they waited until after Halloween. At least. Also heard an Xmas commercial on the radio today. Aside from the Balsam Hill spots, which I've seen a few times, no TV ads yet. I'll enjoy it while it lasts... 1 2 Link to comment

I put a local station on while I was doing some tedious task in the kitchen on Friday and was dumbfounded. Apparently that's their "thing." Do we really need two months of Christmas music? I just wanted some low key "old people's music" like they usually play. 1 2 Link to comment

JustHereForFood November 15 Share November 15 I don't watch regular TV a lot anymore, so I usually manage to avoid commercials, unless they appear on youtube and can't be clicked away. But this one seems to be so popular that I've seen an article about it, so I had to look it up. It's pretty ok, I think, obviously very timely with the idea of being in our own bubbles. And while I'm here, I liked this one last year: 2 3 Link to comment
