Thalia March 31 Share March 31 (edited) Elsa Dutton, Season 1, Episode 1: My father had three children. Only one would live to see their own children grown. Only one would carry the fate of this family through the depression and every other hell the twentieth century hurled at them. Since Spencer's brother and Elsa are dead, this suggests that Spencer will survive. I think everyone else is fair game in the finale. If Spencer is definitely going to live, I think that Jacob, Cara, and Alexandra would make the most impact if they are killed. Of those three, I think that Jacob's death is mostly likely, and not just because it always makes me cry to see Han Solo die (darn you SW). Cara's insistence that Jacob promise to come home seemed ominous to me. Obviously Alexandra is facing almost certain death at the end of the last episode, but I just can't imagine the show would keep the Main Lovers apart for an entire season and then kill her without Spencer and her reuniting first. I have seen speculation that Spencer's train could go by that car and stop. I truly think that Alex is going to be in Dutton country next week. She could die after she gets there and they are reunited but I hope that won't happen. I think Cara will live and help Spencer for the time being. As for everyone else, please let Whitfield end up in bondage and whipped to death. Edited April 1 by Thalia 3 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/152694-1923-spoilers-speculation/
RedHawk March 31 Share March 31 I accidentally posted this in the “Mountain Teeth” episode thread, so moving it: All season I have been thinking that Alexandra will have her son but then die and Elizabeth will raise him. That has been foreshadowed by the conversation Jack had with her when it was thought she could not get pregnant again and have children of her own. He talked about raising the children of others as Cara had done. So it threw a kink in my speculation when it turned out that she’s pregnant also. But perhaps on learning of Jack’s death the shock sends her into a miscarriage, or she gets shot in the stomach (again). Nothing is beyond Taylor Sheridan’s writing at this point. 3 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/152694-1923-spoilers-speculation/#findComment-8622200
Chit Chat March 31 Share March 31 1 hour ago, RedHawk said: All season I have been thinking that Alexandra will have her son but then die and Elizabeth will raise him. IIRC, in Elsa's narration in an earlier episode (when Alex & Spencer were leaving Africa), she said this would be the last journey for them. I suppose that could be interpreted in many ways. Maybe they'll reunite and live out their days on the ranch; or it could be that one of them dies sooner rather than later. I will be disappointed if they're not reunited, but at this point, I expect the worst. Alex started out as such a strong woman, but as each episode goes on, she's reduced to being miserable and crying all of the time. I wanted to see her bounce back and be the fierce, independent woman I thought she was. Of course, going through everything she has and the emotions of being pregnant, it's not surprising that she's a sniveling mess. I'm disappointed that so much time was wasted on her & Spencer's endless calamities. 2 2 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/152694-1923-spoilers-speculation/#findComment-8622250

JayDub1987 April 8 Share April 8 I have absolutely no basis for this; pure speculation on my part. But I'm wondering if in the next series, we might see some family tension between Spencer's sons and Jack's son. We know that Spencer and Alexandra had John, then he had his son with the widow. Jack's son will apparently be raised in a big city back East. If we're actually going to deal with the Dutton Ranch dealing with the fallout of the Great Depression as has been rumored, it's feasible that someone from a bugger city back East may look to "simplify" (for lack of a better term) life by moving to an area that wasn't as impacted as those that depended so much on the stock market. It seems as though Sheridan likes to bring in new wrinkles and new problems for the family to overcome in each series, so maybe some level of in-fighting could be next? Jack’s son might also be a John. There is a lot of random coincidence in these shows and the two boys might meet on the front. 2 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/152694-1923-spoilers-speculation/#findComment-8629726
