Season 5 LDL Live Chat

Here's the place to Live Chat Season five of Love During Lockup. The convict is still in prison, so we can look forward to facetime visits, bathroom twerk sessions, too many children calling someone they've never met "daddy", and many, many, many promises that will never pan out. 

Our cast includes: 

Kate and Hunter (and Kayleigh): Kate is a yoga instructor in Scottsdale, AZ. (Somewhere Melissa is fuming at the thought of a yoga instructor existing anywhere). Kate met Hunter when he was a barista. They knew each other for a year before he went prison for aggravated DUI and a few other things - driving with a suspended license, identity theft, forgery, shoplifting, credit card theft, second degree burglary and aggravated assault. Just what we need - another alcohol-fueled story. But wait, there's more! Kate encouraged Hunter to find a sugar mama to help him financially. Gotta have that ramen money. Enter Kayleigh to whom Hunter has proposed. Dramahz! Also, Hunter describes himself as a user of women. Sounds like a winner. Will we get another "No prostitutes" rules list? 

Tia and Rob are in Bayshore, New York. Tia is a single mom who has done everything she can to build a good life for herself and her children. I am sure they are the most important thing to her. She'll never hold anyone above them. She has been unlucky in love; then inmate Rob caught her eye. She dreams of a family man. He is asking for strippers at his coming home party. Don't worry; I'm sure they'll be classy, family-friendly strippers, or at least they'll call him daddy if he wants. 

Savannah and Bradly: Bradly was formerly Savannah's weed dealer. Savannah is now "California sober", so likely weed is still a drug of choice for her. She is also best friends with Alyssa, Bradly's sister. Alyssa is not a fan of her felon brother. Bradly's family are also not fans. They think he is a user who is taking advantage of Savannah and will drop her as soon as he gets out. After all, we all know how convicts are such catches that all the ladies line up for them. Amirite? 

MJ and Willie knew each other for years but never dated. They both married other people and later divorced their spouses. After Willie ended up behind bars, he reached out to MJ, and they fell for each other. Despite their relationship, MJ ended up "cheating" on Willie with her ex-husband and is about to be tempted again by returning to her hometown where her ex still lives. Yes, it's another cheating on the person you've only "dated" while they are in prison storyline. Can we say that MJ got her ticket punched by her ex but she was thinking of Willie's willie the whole time so it was cheating in the flesh but not in the mind? Anything to get past this already boring accusation. 

Sam and Krystal:  Our female convict this season is Krystal. EMT Sam went looking for love in all the wrong places; that is, an inmate pen pal site. Sam was recently divorced and lonely. Krystal won his heart. He moved from Washington to Texas to be near her. These crazy kids got married, even though she had seven years left to her stint. Sam struck up a relationship with Krystal's grandmother. Nana is now getting jealous of Sam and Krystal's relationship. Oh Sharp, we see you, and it's not pretty. Does Nana wield a wooden spoon? 

Jakeema and Donny:  Jakeema has a history of dating inmates. She found Donny through TikTok and started messaging him. They developed a relationship and single-mom Jakeema moved with her two sons from Texas to Dayton, Ohio, to be closer to her inmate boyfriend. Yes, she's putting the children first, if by first we mean behind prison peen. She begins to worry that Donny might be dealing drugs inside prison, as he often sends her money. Hm, selling drugs in prison or does he make the best ramen mix-ins and Nilla wafer and sprite birthday cakes? The money making possibilities are endless.

I've had some great Edibles Arrangements. The fruit was unbelievably ripe. I don't know how they do it! Chocolate covered strawberries will be my only food in Heaven.

So I missed last week LAL due to a work holiday party that not only did I get a 5 year award but got dissed when the big boss totally butchered my last name.  Glad to be back in general pop

What was your award? I hope it was cash. When I made ten years at Tufts I got a set of marble bookends. Talk about useless. I finally donated them to Savers a few weeks ago.
