Had a feeling that it was Yoonie's current boyfriend, if only for the simple reason that he was avoiding law enforcement for most of the episode.  But after it was pretty much hinted that he was innocent, I realized that it was her label director.  Something about him did seem off and desperate.

Shocking that Marisa wasn't involved in the case, for once.

Rose is divine.  I wish that the actress would be upped to main character status.

I really wish the writing was better; not going to point out the numerous holes, but the part with flushing out the other superfan was especially dumb. And then there's the side plots I don't care about.

But at least the RAs weren't in this one much? Almost thought Kylie wasn't going to be in this one at all; but I guess that's the trade-off for having Rose in the episode.

Yes! And then delete a couple other characters.

That is why Seth Meyers created his Corrections bit....

I want to like this show more than I do. I like all of the characters and the writers do too. So they try and make them fit into every episode. It just lacks cohesion. Marisa didn't need to be in tis episode at all. And now I hear Rayna, her new boss is going to be a regular? I think the show needs a tighter focus. Alec is your main and the focus should be there. I like the Alec and Rose story. I like seeing Kylie as she and Alec interact and their sibling bond. I like Alec as mentor to the assistants. And Alec with Marisa. But when they show us all these side characters unrelated to Alec it breaks down for me. By shoe horning everyone in to every episode it makes for a messy disjointed story.

Tighter focus, and tighter writing. So far, this show hasn't given me any reasons to care about these side characters if they're not in a scene with Alec.  (Okay, except maybe Kylie.)

Agree, what you said and @gibasi above you. The show is all over the place, writing that doesn't make sense, characters that come and go. It needs a cohesive showrunner to put it together, and quickly.

Last week was terrible, and this week was almost as bad. My favorite was when the manager (older Korean, guilty guy) took his client from police custody without even asking. Just "we're done here". Usually they follow the police show trope of "If you're not going to charge my client, then we're leaving".

I think I'm out. Each week gets more ridiculous, rather than better.

Not sure why I'm watching. I wouldn't mind giving it up, but my sister likes it, so there ya go.

I love psychology and sociology but it really annoys me when Alec throws in little diagnoses of a person or situation. I know that's the gimmick of the show, but it really doesn't work for me.

I was distracted by the K-Pop people not having accents. I admit I don't know much about it, but I thought they all come from Korea.

The minute we saw the boyfriend and record label guy I figure one or both of them had killed Mia.

I had to go to IMDB to see where I knew the guy who played the killer from. Keong Sim... Ah! He was Pastor Wayne in Dead to Me! He also played Mike Chang Sr in Glee.

I just don't like Marisa or the actress. Maybe that's why I liked the new FBI head.

The show is starting to remind me of a Danielle Steel novel. Everything is too impossibly upscale and flawless. The FBI offices, Rose's apartment and even the academic offices.

Rose's "job" also is entirely ambiguous. She's a "fixer" who knows seemingly everyone on the planet. Why would a K-Pop company have hired Rose as a crisis manager rather than a Korean? How did Yoonie know where Rose lived, and did Rose not live in a security building? How could Yoonie just knock on her door?

It was totally implausible that they could stage that party in the middle of a scheduled festival. It made zero sense for Alec and his assistants to be there "undercover" like they're detectives.

Probably the most ridiculous scene was Alec confidently pointing out that it was obvious the security guard was texting a new hookup and *naturally* Rose is acquainted with the guard and his wife. How was he supposed to explain that? "Oh I let them in because they could tell I was texting a woman with whom I cheated on my wife."
