De Marco and Bishop went to the Michael Weston school of don't mask up in case you are caught burglarizing. But unlike Burn Notice they seemed to not know that cameras are everywhere now. Legal came to the conclusion that I wanted to discard that all of this is a pair of rogue cops protecting themselves because of the framing of a guilty man 1 Link to comment

peeayebee October 20 Share October 20 Yeah, I know him from way back, but he does come across as a terrible actor. "Elliot Gould-esque" is a good way to describe his acting technique. 4 Link to comment
twoods October 21 Share October 21 I’ve given Andrea the benefit of the doubt the last few seasons and have tolerated her, but her having a hissy fit at Mickey for not “showing her empathy” pissed me off. You did something unforgivable that was much more than a little mistake, and didn’t like being called out for a colleague not keeping your secret? I’m glad the second prosecutor called her out that 10 years ago she would have done the exact same thing. No one is going to hand hold you while you didn’t do your job and indirectly had someone killed. Once this gets out I’m sure the victim’s father is going to sue her. 5 1 Link to comment
dleighg October 21 Share October 21 Has Andrea ever shown a sliver of a sense of humor? An authentic smile? Any warmth whatsoever? I really dislike her. 6 3 Link to comment

Once this gets out I’m sure the victim’s father is going to sue her Her response was so infuriating, right? She made a huge mistake. But once she told her boss and he said not to say a word, she made a huge mistake by telling the other prosecutor. It was clear how much the other prosecutor was upset about the victim not changing her routine. It was clear the other prosecutor was not going to let things go when Andrea confessed to her. What did she think would be the outcome? Not only was the other prosecutor making a career move, she should not working on the case. I don't think I'd be able to do it either. Even if it weren't going to impact my promotability, I I can't see myself keeping that secret. And even if Andrea is the better prosecutor, her boss cannot support her promotion since she decided to tell someone else the secret. 2 hours ago, dleighg said: Has Andrea ever shown a sliver of a sense of humor? I started to like her a little when seeing her with her client and seeing her response to her clients death. And now I'm back to disliking her. 5 Link to comment
Ottis October 26 Share October 26 (edited) I like Andrea. She is part of the newer TV trope of "smart and cool" that often gets assigned to minority characters. The difference here is that we see her making a mistake and then being an ass. I keep expecting her to pull a gun on Scott Glass. On the other hand, Lorne's whole "up and down the stairs in heels" routine was exasperating. Going down a whole 4 flights is difficult? I'm technically a senior citizen and I don't see it. Take the heels off, Lorna. On 10/20/2024 at 9:38 AM, dleighg said: Does anyone else think that the guy playing Legal is a TERRIBLE actor? Gould is 86 years old and still working. And was married to Barbra Streisand for 8 years (1963-1971). Not exactly an obscure past. 4 Link to comment

dleighg October 26 Share October 26 As the person who said he is a terrible actor -- in this show--, I stand by my opinion. And even though I'm not particularly young, I have never seen anything he's in. So there. :) 1 Link to comment

Heck, I was born in 1959, and I knew famous actors from the 1920s. But then again, I was always interested in the movies. I felt very old when an employee at a store I visited never heard of Alan Alda or M*A*S*H. I guess this comes down to society being more segmented than ever. 1 Link to comment

"the guy" is Elliot Gould, who is famous (originally for being Barbra Streisand's first husband). As others noted, he's somewhat one note. I was about 15 when the MASH movie came out, and my friends and I were thrilled to be admitted to this R-rated film by the theater owner who didn't give a damn about ages. The movie ratings were about two years old then. Does any theater still follow those rules? No one goes to the movies anyway, and teenagers in particular probably don't anymore. dleighg November 18 Share November 18 yes people keep telling me that he is famous. (I was too young to see the MASH movie). I am still allowed to say I think he's awful in this role. Link to comment
peeayebee November 19 Share November 19 Of course. Instead of good acting, a lot of actors are beloved for their screen presence, charisma, or personality. John Wayne is probably one of them. 1 Link to comment
CatWarmer November 23 Share November 23 Got my hair done yesterday and a young employee at another chair referenced “some actress named Elizabeth Taylor.” The (mature) owner and I burst out laughing. 2 Link to comment
Sweet-tea December 1 Share December 1 (edited) I wanted to shout, “Lorna, just take off the heels!” Sheesh. I like Lorna more in small doses. And I find it hard to imagine her married to Mickey. Unlike with Maggie, I don’t see prior romantic relationship chemistry with Mickey and Lorna. They are more like brother and sister.. Why does Cisco always whisper? Is that the actor’s real voice or is he trying to be cool? Edited December 1 by Sweet-tea Link to comment

It isn't too hard to think that before his accident he partook in adult beverages a bit too much on at least one day. Link to comment
