FozzyBear October 20 Share October 20 (edited) Shannon has Dr Moon practically on retainer but she’s a 60 year old woman who hasn’t had a mammogram in 10 years? What. The. Actual. Fuck. You talked to Heather on camera to present John as an uncaring shit. I believe John is an uncaring shit, but that wasn’t a private conversation. That was propaganda. It may have been true propaganda but stop acting like you didn’t do that on camera on purpose! I know I’m alone on my island over here but sometimes I really can’t with Shannon’s bullshit. I’ve even found her more sympathetic this season than I normally do, but..come on! You are on a reality show Shannon and you came to play. That’s fine, but don’t act like you don’t know it. While she is a Duchess as well, isn't it more appropriate to address her as the (HRH) Princess of Wales (the higher rank)? And neither is correct. She is Her Royal Highness, Catherine the Princess of Wales. She is not Princess Kate, she would be Princess William technically. Same as Meghan, Duchess of Sussex or even Princess Michael of Kent. Unless you are a blood Princess you and your name are not attached to Princess as it is through the husband. Sorry Fancy Pants you are as uninformed as the rest. And Catherine would not go to a shop in the middle of London to pop in for candy, she would have an assistant pop in to grab some. Shannon already said that she paid for half of the duration of their relationship in the middle of the season, from saying for a long time that she paid for everything for four years. He didn’t want to sign a non disparagement agreement because she has a platform (the show), on top of her social media, well, to disparage him. She could have said something mild, like "I overexaggerated" since she was there half way already. The funny thing is, if he had accepted her offer to pay him back she might stop talking about him because it would be over. But he wants to drag this out for some reason. I think Bravo and Andy Cohen miscalculated with this storyline. It might have been one thing for making Shannon's DUI a primary storyline and making her address and take accountability for her actions, but they really piled on her by bringing Alexis back on knowing she was in a relationship with John Janssen, the past bad blood with the Jim Bellino lawsuit, and it wouldn't surprise me if they knew of the possibility of a new lawsuit. Alexis (and John) also miscalculated and she came in hot after Shannon and didn't let up. Given the drama she brought to Shannon, and what almost feels like a setup by Bravo's PTB, it wouldn't surprise me if they brought Alexis back next season even though she's overwhelming disliked by most of the RHOC audience this season. I've never thought he was a good guy but all this did imo, is remind viewers what a dick he can be to Shannon and make himself look terrible. And speaking of her "receipts" Shannon may be 60 but keeping track of stuff on crumpled notepad paper makes her look 90. I laughed as hard as Emily when she pulled them out. Andy’s fixation on thinking that bad, unlikeable people make for good entertainment is really killing his franchises. Nobody wants that shoved down their throat every. single. season. I find it very plausible that she paid for a lot of stuff while they were dating--and it could have been stuff he didn't really care much about (trips, dinners out) but that she was willing to pay for both of them, so HE did not see that spending as "gifts" to him. I don’t know much about John, but Shannon grew up rich, married a man who made a lot of money, and then lucked out with her Housewife gig. I think she’s someone accustomed to living a lavish lifestyle, and she can’t wrap her head around people watching how much money they spend on food, trips, plastic surgery, etc. I’ve known Shannon types. They can be sweet, but they will deem people as cheap simply for being responsible with money. God knows how much she’s spent on Dr. Moon alone. If John was truly this cheapskate she treated the entire time, Shannon shouldn’t have stayed with him so long. Most people would feel taken advantage of and leave. And if he didn’t also treat her to fancy meals and things, why on earth would she expect sudden generosity of $75,000 or whatever? None of it adds up, even with her receipts. I still think Alexis is a bully and John also says and does things that are contradictory, but there is reason to believe him about that money being a loan. 4 1 Link to comment

Gretchen was the first cast member who was in a very obvious gold digging relationship while dating another guy on the down low (although it seems the women saw her in bars, and restaurants with the guy). The fiance was a lot older (about 25 years) and sick. Shannon creates her own misery through bad decisions and then starts in on her “woe is me” routine. If it was because she couldn’t afford insurance (which I doubt) then why is she taking John on expensive trips instead of buying even a basic health plan? ZettaK October 25 Author Share October 25 The lawsuit was filed in April 2024, and they broke up in November 2022. They were together for four years according to Shannon. The promissory note was sent in the beginning of 2022, just after the first loan. There is no way Shannon remembered, even if she looked at cc statements what she spent, and where exactly. She would also write down everything she remembered in one piece of paper, not a whole stack of notes. She wrote the notes in real time. Link to comment

It seems there were messages and emails between them for years, and they never agreed. I assume the statute of limitations is two years for this kind of case. No, if you go back and watch the scene with Emily and Heather, Shannon clearly says, "this is the shit I spend my time doing at home now," and "this is how I've done it so far," and she's only done the first 6 months of their relationship. I'm not sure why it seems so far fetched to go back through bank receipts. It's something people have to do fairly routinely, and especially if you keep a calendar, it's really not hard to back and pick out expenses. ETA: Google seems pretty sure the statute of limitations on personal debt (including promissory notes) is four years, not two. Edited October 25 by lasu 7 2 1 Link to comment

Shannon creates her own misery through bad decisions and then starts in on her “woe is me” routine. If it was because she couldn’t afford insurance (which I doubt) then why is she taking John on expensive trips instead of buying even a basic health plan? If it’s for other reasons why isn’t she addressing those reasons? And can you imagine if Shannon had gotten the news Heather did? Lord help us. The crying would never end. I’ve never liked John (always thought there was something off about him) and Alexis is being terrible. But I can’t say I’m exactly sympathetic to Shannon. I find her to be just a manipulative with her constant helpless Shannon routine. How many years are people expected to feel sorry for Shannon before she just starts making better decisions? Like Jenn and her rent drama, I think Shannon has been one of those persons who never has really had to take any kind of responsibility because there was always somebody else around to take care of things. She is truly on her own now, and can’t navigate life. When things get magically taken care of, it comes as a shock when you find yourself in a mess. I admit that I haven’t been following the promissory note business that closely anymore, but I find it unbelievable that some kind of formal agreement wasn’t put in place given the amounts at issue. You don’t have an “understanding” over $75,000. I’d want repayment terms in writing. 5 Link to comment

The timing still seems suspicious to me; he only filed after hooking up with Alexis and only when filming started. It just doesn't sound like Jansen is as concerned about the money as much as it's about harassing Shannon on camera and giving Alexis a story. And yes, according to the the California Dept of Justice, the statute of limitations on personal debt is four years with a written contract. Not sure about trying to collect without a contract. 3 2 Link to comment

If it were me, this would be a job for my accountant, or, if I had a lawyer’s advice, a forensic accountant. I’m beginning to think she knows she’s probably on the hook, and she’s flailing. Only Shannon would find herself in this kind of mess. 5 Link to comment

Wants to freeload off Alexis, so he’s doing everything to keep her relevant, maybe? Some men on these shows are real gems. Ladies of the OC — if you do anything involving property, custody, large debts, whatever…get a lawyer. 🤦♀️ “Real” life problems, lol. 3 Link to comment

Why, and how would he want to freeload from Alexis? Her child support is ending soon (and it is used for the kids- I'm sure Jim Bellino is watching), and Jim Bellino would renegotiate (end) the alimony, it's part of their divorce settlement. Jannsen and Alexis have a wedding date. Shannon said on the show Jannsen is well-off. Link to comment
