I noticed the steering wheel was on the "wrong" side in his car, they must not be in America, even though I thought that they were.

A lot of the filming (for Marvel IPs) happens in England these days, as its cheaper to do so there afaik, so it does make sense to depict it like that.

I thought it was set in the UK, only because of the accents of the leads.
