I do enjoy Meri calmly reading Kody for filth in the couch segments. "He didn't have the integrity..."

I also appreciated that she said the thing about how it's hard to leave the kids (Robyn's) but that she didn't really get to see them much anyhow, even though she texted and asked all the time.

I’ll never forget when Meri’s mother died (unexpectedly, as I remember), Kody wouldn’t and didn’t drive to Parawan with her.  It’s one of the worst things he’s ever done, and that’s saying something.

Two years ago on the show (3+ yrs ago IRL) Kody said "I don't understand why she (Meri) doesn't just leave" and made a face, it was clear to viewers that Kody was saying he was done with her - doesn't Meri watch the show?

I do think he sent her mixed messages. I also think she wanted him to tell her to her face, and part of the reason she wanted that, is so that she would have grounds to get a religious release from their marriage from the AUB.

That episode being shown on tv was when Meri  knew it was done.  Remember this episode here was filmed in early 2023. So IRL it’s only been a few months since the episode you mention was shown.

Ysabel was heartbreaking to listen too. She sees the relationships David has with his kids and beginning now with Christine's and she hurts that she doesn't have that maybe never will have with her own dad. Made me cry to hear her.

As "Christine's kids" I suspect Ysabel & Truely feel the same way (or worse) when they watch Kody with "his and Robyn's kids"

Yes, he’s throwing mixed signals, but it makes sense to me because of Kody’s narcissism.  He didn’t seem to ever like Meri, but he liked having her around.  Same with Janelle and Christine.  It was the part of polygamy that he liked the most - being the king of the castle, having total control over all his relationships and all of their lives.  
 

The tears aren’t for Meri, they’re for himself, and everything he’s losing.
