Spartan Girl September 6 Share September 6 (edited) The bombing scenes were horrific. Hansu trying to ingratiate himself in the boy’s lives made me ill. I mean, yeah, Noa is his son, but Mozasu? Yes, he’s just a little boy that never got the chance to really know his father, and it’s understandable that he’d take a liking to the seemingly nice stranger that helped their family and gives presents. Still, I’m not convinced he’s doing it out of the goodness of his heart. Neither is Sunja; her telling him off at the beginning of the episode was awesome, I just hope he doesn’t wear her down. Noa seems leery of him too. I dread how him Spoiler Finding out the truth is going to go At least he did the right thing when they caught his former bully stealing from them. Revenge is always tempting, but when you’ve seen a whole city blown to hell, clinging to a schoolboy grudge is just petty. Guess something is going on with the sister and Mr. Kim. His backstory was so sad. Oh, hey, older Sunja seems to have made a connection with the nice bird guy. Go for it! Edited September 6 by Spartan Girl 2 Link to comment
aghst September 8 Share September 8 (edited) Yeah some prospects for joy, the sister in law and the guy, the boys having some fun in the country, Solomon and Naomi starting something — he tells her he’s going to be ruthless in his pursuit of riches and she toasts that. The old grandmother looking sad leaving her home with her dog. She sold for 1.4 billion yen, which is over $20 million in today’s money. Solomon watches her from his limo, talking on a giant cell phone — back in 1989 when they were rare and expensive. She could afford her own limo to take her away. Money may not buy happiness but people can sure try. I just don’t think Hansu showing some kindness is a bad thing. He’s trying to buy her love? OK she doesn’t have to let him. Meanwhile she and her sons are safe and have plenty of food, while the Japanese who used to persecute her and her sons have had the tables turned on them and she’s got some status in that village. Remember, before they fled the city, she was out of money, with no way to make more. She has closure with Isak, would have been better if he got out of jail earlier and survived but he might also have died in jail and she might never have seen him again. Maybe Hansu is regretful and trying to make it up to her but even if he’s got ulterior motives, she’s benefitted already without having to compromise herself. BTW, is Solomon attracted to Naomi in part because she’s Japanese? Another trophy for him with which to taunt the Japanese? Edited September 8 by aghst Link to comment

That's why she reminded him to always remember his father, the one who raised him, even when he finds out the man who has been so kind and generous is his bio father. 3 hours ago, aghst said: BTW, is Solomon attracted to Naomi in part because she’s Japanese? Another trophy for him with which to taunt the Japanese? I hope not. I hope he's genuinely interested in her. He certainly sounded sincere when he said she should be running that office. 3 hours ago, aghst said: She could afford her own limo to take her away. (On a shallow note, my goodness, Jin Ha is handsome. Every time he smiles I swoon.) Link to comment
